Easily one of the best game captures I've ever seen. The ending is almost heartbreaking, with the last man coming in to save friendlies and having no idea what lies in wait. Absolutely gripping footage; this is why ARMA is so wonderfully captivating. Working my way through your back catalog now; you're truly an awesome guy to follow!
this goes into the hall of fame for one of the most exciting missions. great camera work. hollywood could not make this any better. i love these kind of mission, out numbered and on the run.
That... was awesome, Dyslexci! More missions like this! I love the ambience and the fog, especially. Really made things difficult. Having no radios also makes it so much more deadly and personal. Excellent mission. Props.
Thank you so much for providing my (pretty much daily) dose of awesomeness. I get as anxious waiting for these videos as I do for new seasons of Breaking Bad and Dexter.
wow...this really put into perspective on what my cousin did in Vietnam, he was a huey pilot as well...it's...actually pretty chilling when I think about it now and watch this
Nice video, you should definitely do more of these style of missions, they have a special feel to it, especially the fact that barely anyone has ammo, radios etc. Looking forward for more!
You organized the defense when everyone wanted to get into a cluster fuck, and then get killed on your way out of that hell whole. Like every hero to ever exist, you died like a soldier.
that was a danm fine video! Ill think of this every time i think of Vietnam. My fullest respect to thoses who survied the real thing. we still remember you!
Wow. Just wow. I've paid good money to watch Hollywood blockbusters that were nowhere near as tense and exciting as that. Well done. Magnificent video.
I don't favourite many videos, but wow!! One of the best Arma videos I have ever seen. I hope my application to ShackTac is approved coz this is what I'm talkin bout. :D
That was incredible! One of the best videos I've seen in recent memory. I really loved the fog, very nice touch. If only you had thrown in some music for that one part, it would have been -perfect-.
Great ,great, great video... Congratulations bro... One of the most intense videos i´ve seen... Just waiting for extraction, trying to survive, to organice a defense... Lots of suppression fire.... And the last scenes, with a film view of the last sqad making his last stand... Thumbs up, very very up.. :D
I like how in this video, they see a fire and take precautionary actions. In CHKilroy's video, they're like fuck it. Just leave it and then purposely trip flares lol.
Wauw that was intense. Loved it. I'm a sucker for the vietnam war and this was pure epic to see. Especially the last part. I know its just a game but damn you could feel the desperation of the forces on the ground and the wondering if they would get extracted out of there. Wish i knew people to play Arma with and the vietnam mod.
Dslyecxi i have watched a lot of your videos for arma 2 and i usually post a comment saying "cool", "epic", or "amazing". But honestly this was probably in the top 3 videos of arma 2 i have seen. I hope to see more like this it was amazing!
Wow the end was intense. Although there were 2 shameful moments: 1) The guy standing outside the trench at the end for some reason? Predictably gets shot dead :P 2) The helo pilot hovering low above the LZ, terrible idea too :P Gets hit by like 5 RPGS.
Holy shit, this was freaking epic..and such a sad end. Ooh, was this from that idea I gave you a while back, or did zx64 make it before that? Because this map is absolutely brilliant. I didn't even consider time limits and trip flares or other possible traps to give away your position if careless. Maybe stun grenades instead of tripmines. I guess during the AAR the choppers were on the ground too long near the end there, which made them too much of a target. Especially hovering in one place..
Your attitude towards missions are impressive, you see alot guys with a cool attitude, but you bring INTENSITY! RAAAAAAAAGE Btw, what mod are you using for this video?
That was a part of the video. He slowed it down and cut the sound out so he could highlight the mortar round that landed directly in front of him and killed him.
As soon as you weren't able to get on the first two extracts I figured that you would die trying to get out. I just didn't think that it would be quite so dramatic, maybe a hail of bullets, not a friggen rpg!
Hey Dskyecxi sorry to bother you with this again but i looked into the ACE wounding and it says it's a module in the editor. The thing is I don't have that module. I also have problems running certain things in vanilla Arma. Should i just re-install ACE or is it somrthing more serious where I need to re-install the entire game. Thanks and sorry for bringing this up again.
That last bit with the helo asking if anyone was still on the ground.... Damn man. That was something out of a movie.
The fog and jungle sounds made this video epic.
Love this style of play.
This was one of the best Arma videos I've seen so far. I love the panic and the chaos.
+Nora Dee I cameback 2 years after my first watch, just to relive it.
this goes into the hall of fame for one of the most exciting missions. great camera work.
hollywood could not make this any better. i love these kind of mission, out numbered and on the run.
That... was awesome, Dyslexci! More missions like this! I love the ambience and the fog, especially. Really made things difficult. Having no radios also makes it so much more deadly and personal. Excellent mission. Props.
This is still one of my favourite videos, this is like my 6th time watching.
Probably the most cinematic video I've seen from this game so far. Dslyecxi, you will be remembered...
This has go to be one of the best gaming vids I've seen ever, I was high-strung as hell throughout.
this is easily one of my new favorite shack tac videos. It was so dramatic, well done.
Thank you so much for providing my (pretty much daily) dose of awesomeness. I get as anxious waiting for these videos as I do for new seasons of Breaking Bad and Dexter.
Still my most favorite op of all of Shack tacts ops
wow...this really put into perspective on what my cousin did in Vietnam, he was a huey pilot as well...it's...actually pretty chilling when I think about it now and watch this
That was more intense than any Vietnam movie i've ever watched. Well done, shows how scary that shit can get.
I can't put into words how good this was, well done. Zx64 has outdone himself. And so have you
This is probably my favorite video from you, Beagle, and Kilroy combined. So dramatic!
Got admit dyslexi I thought this was one of your best videos. With the atmosphere and scenario of the mission it was just great :)
I've watched a lot of Shack Tac videos, and this one looks like one of the most fun to play.
This was awesome, I half expected to hear Adagio for strings during the slow motion scene.
Awesome mission and video - absolutely loved it! I heard the tones of Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings, op.11" during the final minutes of it...
My favourtie video yet, when the choppers left without you when only half the video was done I knew shit was going to get crazy!
Who says you need millions of dollars to make a good movie. This was amazing. one of my fave shack tac vids.
One of the best ARMA videos I have ever seen.
And, in response to some comments - no, this server nor the community is public.
The end part after you died was perfect. It showed the rest of the "story" perfectly.
That ending was awsome! GREAT vid, best arma youtuber I have ever subbed to!
that was a danm fine video! Ill think of this every time i think of Vietnam. My fullest respect to thoses who survied the real thing. we still remember you!
man this is by far my favourite video i have seen in a while felt so intense and i was just watching
Wow. Just wow. I've paid good money to watch Hollywood blockbusters that were nowhere near as tense and exciting as that. Well done. Magnificent video.
This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen in a video game.
I don't favourite many videos, but wow!! One of the best Arma videos I have ever seen. I hope my application to ShackTac is approved coz this is what I'm talkin bout. :D
Night, fog, heavy rain, fire from all sides - I applaud every player who took part in this mission without shitting himself
The scale of epicness cannot be measured.
That was the best Arma video I have ever watched! You have my like and my subscription!
Rest in Peace, the last chopper team... your bravery will never be forgotten.
That was incredible! One of the best videos I've seen in recent memory.
I really loved the fog, very nice touch.
If only you had thrown in some music for that one part, it would have been -perfect-.
Great job. Actually brought back memories I had forgotten...or so I thought.
one of my favorite missions so far
Even from the beginning, this looks awesome!
I saw CHKilroy's version of this, loved it. Now I've seen yours I feel the same. Vietnam was a bad war...
Undoubtably the best arma 2 online/co-op video I have ever seen. Seriously fucking immense. You can feel the tension building all the time. 5/5
Think this is one of the best Dslyecxi
Insane, loved the jungle atmosphere
*sighs* 30:27 has Trench decides "I'm good here in the open" dies 10 seconds later. Tactical Lesson right there.
I like how in this video, they see a fire and take precautionary actions. In CHKilroy's video, they're like fuck it. Just leave it and then purposely trip flares lol.
It was a Marine who didn't like Mice.
Salute to your Cinematography Mr D.
The lack of radios brings in a taste of chaos to always make these videos more fun to watch. Also cowards running to trenches :S
Dslyecxi is the first man in and the last man out. Vietnam missions are great!
Well done. Wished the guys I game with liked Arma2 enough to play it all the time.
This is my new favorite channel!
That was your best video ever so far !
Very cool, and so intense. You must have been spewing at the end.
This footage is exactly what inspired me to play ARMA. I'd love it even more if I could fight alongside Dslyecxi himself.
That ending was quite sad. "Is there anybody still on the ground?" :(
Awesome video, I wish I could run ArmA this fast, it lags on my system.
Epic gameplay and a nice dramatic ending
Kilroy perspective is also awesome; he is the super medic
That was a sick mission!! Keep up the good work!!
What happened to the two helos, did they crash in to each other or were shot down?
Most intense ending EVER
An ending worthy of any hollywood film right there. Heartbreaking end.
That was your best one yet!
So did the helis come back to extract the rest who were left behind?
Nice camera work....better than some movies I've seen!
My prayers have been answered ^.^ was looking forward to a video like this thank you :D
Another good vid, nice slomo bit. I knew something was going to go south at that point.
Those were some damn fine helo pilots, they were like angels lifting the soldiers out of danger. -manly tear-
Dslyecxi i have watched a lot of your videos for arma 2 and i usually post a comment saying "cool", "epic", or "amazing". But honestly this was probably in the top 3 videos of arma 2 i have seen. I hope to see more like this it was amazing!
I reckon this video would probably have the highest likes and views of all of Dslyecxi's video. 100% intense!
Wow the end was intense. Although there were 2 shameful moments:
1) The guy standing outside the trench at the end for some reason? Predictably gets shot dead :P
2) The helo pilot hovering low above the LZ, terrible idea too :P Gets hit by like 5 RPGS.
most. epic. arma. video. ever
You needed "Sgt Mackenzie" during that slow mo run. Please show more Vietnam missions :D
Best ARMA Ive seen by far!
lol at the end "Is there anybody on the ground---?" /queue dramatic finish
Why did it go black at 29:00? Did the player die? And was that the only chopper at the very end?
Hey, Dslyecxi, what rifles were the enemy using throughout this and what was a number comparison?
Was STHud disabled mission-wise somehow, or did the mission creator just instruct everyone not to use it?
Pilot: Is there anyone still on the ground ? * explosion*. Epic and sad.
Argueably the best vid yet
I like chkilroys shacktac stuff a lot but Dslyexci's view always feels so much more intense.
Hey man. Great vid! Gotta ask. Are all your sessions PVP only? Or co-op in there aswell. Been heavily debating leaving my current unit for shactac.
That was movie worthy. I wait for the sequel with anticipation. :D
Amazing video. Watched it all and will do it again.
awesome videos man, wish i had a good rig to play with your group, you guys rock!
What's that mod you're using at 23:12?
Its part of ACE's hand signal system.
Your attitude towards missions are impressive, you see alot guys with a cool attitude, but you bring INTENSITY! RAAAAAAAAGE
Btw, what mod are you using for this video?
That's gotta be THE MOST dramatic video of Arma 2 I've seen.
That was a part of the video. He slowed it down and cut the sound out so he could highlight the mortar round that landed directly in front of him and killed him.
As soon as you weren't able to get on the first two extracts I figured that you would die trying to get out. I just didn't think that it would be quite so dramatic, maybe a hail of bullets, not a friggen rpg!
holy crap! best arma video i've ever seen!
that wine at the beginning freaked me out.
The slo mo was awesome. =]
I love the confusion. Got any stats? How many KIA or how many deployed?
Is this just your average mission? or is it organized as a special event or something?
Do you guys play on OA or regular Arma 2? or is it just like Combined idk how it works lol :p
Fantastic video. Great editing.
