- It's time to add fresh new containers to our front porch that will add not only color, but beautiful texture too. This combination is sure to impress. I love the lush green that ferns can bring to a porch area, but by adding some incredible new Solenia Yellow Begonias from Proven Winners, these containers shine and look beautiful. Join me as I get them ready for their new spot on our shady front porch.
The fern and the Creeping Jenny can be found at many garden centers, however, this begonia variety may be harder to find. Here's more info:

Loved how this turned out. If I did it again I’d mirror the arrangements for sure. ❤😂🪴
Hi William . What a beautiful gift from your wife for your birthday Happy birthday to you . The containers look so pretty and you always choose amazing plants and arrange them beautifully in the contaiers , charming color . Have a wonderful week .🌿🌻🌿
So nice of you Lina. Thank you. It was fun to get these all planted up and ready to share. It was fun to do something completely different on our porch this year. Now on to the next project... Hehe! Until next time my friend. Have a blessed day! 🌱
I'm in love with that yellow bagonia.❤
😀🪴I really like that plant too!
OMG! That container on the left (while you were potting todays) was STUNNING!!!!!
Thank you so much. That container was one of two that I found on clearance at Lowes and revived them. It was a fun project that turned out GREAT! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day. :)
I like this combination.! Next time you should mirror the arrangement. Very nice 🌼
Yes, absolutely! It’s funny, as soon as I placed them that very thought came to mind. Next time for sure. Have a great day!🌱🪴😀
What a beautiful gift. I love how it turned out. Happy birthday! ❤🎉
Aww... thank you so much. It was a happy birthday indeed. Thanks for stopping by and glad you liked how they came together. 🌱
Ahh the ever challenging ‘issue’ of some sun/some shade. I can relate- Northern CA Zone 9B. I have never purchased a begonia. Will ‘have’ to go shopping. :)
For sure. That part of my yard has required much careful planning. Begonias are excellent and usually do well for me there on the porch. This variety is new, but the great thing about them is they will be okay in a variety of light situations. I love it when plants are versatile. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by. 🌱🪴😀
Simply beautiful!
Thank you Betty! It was a fun project!
Both planters look beautiful, and the yellow begonias are really looking great.
Happy belated birthday 🎊 Blessings to you and your family.

Thanks so much, Mari! It was a great day for sure, so thank you for that. Blessings your way as well. 🌿
I love your enthusiasm when talking about plants, nothing is ever ordinary, they are beautiful and stunning 👍 I have also done a double and a single Begonia with creeping Jenny this year though mine are white not that stunning yellow of yours. I think I’m a bit jealous 😂❤
Thanks so much 😊 Awww....you're so kind. I'm sure yours are just beautiful. 🌱 🌸 😃 Gotta love begonias and Creeping Jenny together. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by to comment. 🖊️
Really pretty! And I like that you didn't mirror them... but obviously, we don't do much mirroring in our garden 😅. They look great!
Super interesting with the irrigation -- a problem we don't have here at all.
Thank you for that. It was something new to try and I didn't think much about it, but yes, it's fine and thanks for your affirmation. It will be just fine that way. Yes, we have quite the dry summers here. We get most of our rain in Jan and Feb with only about 10-13 in per year, however the past two years were amazing. This year we had over 30in. A HUGE blessing.
@@williamsgardening Denmark gets around 30 inches a year, too -- but it comes daily. I say it's like living in a cloud... but not as fancy as that sounds 🤣 Like living in a rain cloud... where it's just misting all the time.
Lovely combination Ron. 💛💚
My husband and I are hosting our daughter’s wedding in our backyard this weekend and I would love to have some of those yellow begonias. I wish I saw them earlier.
Is there anyway I can share some of my garden photos with you?
Thanks Heather! Wow... can't believe it's already here! Yes, for sure.. you can email me at williamsgardeningsocal@gmail.com. I would love to see your beautiful yard. Also, Congratulations!
Slay I love a good Garden Video
Absolutely agree! 🪴🌱😀
Waiting for a merch drop!
Cute! Love that! 🪴🌱😀🎵

Don't you add peat moss and fertilizer when transplanting?
I could have done that for sure. I have a friend who did this and his ferns could win first prize in beauty. After seeing them, I figured I’d try and plant them up as seen in the video. Thanks for commenting and stopping by. I’ll give updates on how they’re doing soon.
