Good vid. Anyone starting out using a Weber Kettle should see this. I have done the snake with wood chunks several times on my 26” Kettle. I get almost eight hours at 225-275 with coals stacked exactly like he does in this vid and wrapped about half of the way around.
I used my Weber premium with the diffuser the other day but only got about 4 hours before coals died and it's not easy to add charcoal once going. I'll give this a try next time. Many thanks!
Oh brother… I gotta ask a Bronco Fan? 😣 Dare I trust it? Welp, here goes (I guess)… Please explain “vertically”. Are you stacking your coals like he does, but on edge? Or are you stacking maybe three or four coals in a single column all around the edge of your kettle?
You've got a new sub here! You explained it so quickly and wasted no time. I'm looking forward to watching/drooling over some of your cook vids!
Awesome! Thank you!
Dude you nailed the tutorial perfectly!

Thank you sir !
Love my Weber grill. Does it all without spending thousands.

Very informative. Thank you
Glad I could help!!
Very cool. I’ve got a propane grill and a Traeger smoker. But I’m getting more and more stoked for the weber kettle. 👍🔥
How them fingers feel after moving those hot briquets? Great snake method tutorial! Right on Chris!
Thank you! They were burning up LOL, forgot the tongs🤣

You get a longer smoke if you stack the briquettes vertically. This is called the Snake Method.
