My 2015 Dodge Journey V6 3.6 l shaking when accelerating in drive and making a knocking sound what could it be could it be the timing chain let me know
Thank you for not editing when having trouble getting things out we need to know things may need extra work too many videos make things look simple and it isn't so thanks for that
This was stupid hard. My F150 is so much less complicated to do such an easy repair. But thank you guys for the awesome contents and not editing out where you guys had problematic issues. I’m definitely taking this to a dealership to get this fixed. Lol. You guys are great mechanics. Give yourself some more credit.
I just want to say "Thank you" to you guys! I have a 2014 Journey V6 R/T and several of your videos have been extremely helpful for me! Yesterday I was having a "misfire on cylinder 1" causing the car to shake when accelerating. I've never "fixed" a car on my own before but thanks to y'all I was able to fix it myself for $40! Cheers!
Seriously 😳 I changed my own on my 08 caravan I had. When the mechanic quoted me the price to change them on my journey, I thought ha I'll do it. Watching this 🙄 it's going back to my mechanic lol
I just finished replacing my plugs using this video and the job went well. For those that feel it may be too difficult, it looks much harder then it is. The most dificult part was getting the "back piece" that connects to the "Throttle Body" both off and back on. Notes: 1: I did not have to remove the hose from the coolant tank to get that "back piece" off. 2: On the "back piece", his front clip was NOT broken, the back two clips pop up but the front one slides off the clip (pull it towards the rear when the back two are popped up). 3: Removing the part between the air cleaner filter box and the "back piece", there were a number of things clipped to it that needed to be un-clipped that he did not have. 4: Installing upper intake manifold instructions: (A) hand start all attaching bolts (B) Tighten bolts gradually starting in the center working outward until a torque of ? (He said 7-9 Nm but I also read 12 Nm) is obtained. 5: I did not remove the "Throttle Body" from the manifold. In hindsight I wish I had removed it and cleaned it, he also has a vid on cleaning it {ua-cam.com/video/3od7A_fFob8/v-deo.html&ab_channel=AutoRepairGuys}, (Canadian Tire sells the cleaner for $10.49).
I did it myself for the second time..... had a missfire before and watched his video. Now im changing all the coils and sparkplugs and watched again for a refresher and got the job done in just over an hour. Great video!
This is hands down the best video on how to change spark plugs on a 2019 Dodge Journey. My boyfriend and I followed your video step by step due to how well you describe what you're doing and then show how to do it as well. We will definitely be watching more of your videos in the future if need be. 😃
Thanks for the walk through. I was able to follow along easily and changed all my coil packs and spark plugs successfully! But I do agree with the other people in the comments, we have had so many issues, we dont like our Dodge Journey either😔
I just changed the sparkplugs on my journey. the order of taking off parts is not right. and there is one part that you don't need to separate to do the job. once you disconnect the hose from the air filter, the cylindric part behind the upper intake, leave it there, until you remove the upper intake. also the part with the 4 same screws between the hose and that cylinder part, you don't need to disconnect it, leave it connected to the upper intake. once you remove the upper intake, the cylindric part behind comes out super easy and you save time. just make sure you detach the plastic clip
Hey keep up the good work! But if you remove the bracket on the right side of the engine you’ll need a open end spanner or deep socket. Remove this and you can pull top cover and throttle body off in one saves heaps of time
I just bought one, 2012 RT I subscribed and may need future Help from your videos . Thanks for Sharing your skills and tips. Saving money is a Great idea.
You guys are very knowledgeable this video was a great help in changing the sparkplugs...it was a headache doing it but following this video I was able to do the job right...thanks guys you rock!
Thank you guys for saving me a ton of time with repairs to my 2013 journey. I recently had a check engine light come on with a code p0740, any idea what I need to check?
Thanx for the assist. Though a couple of changes. you would be better off worrying about the throttle body after you remove the intake disconnect all electrical connections and vacuum lines from the throttle body. Disconnect the resonator and remove the air tube. Push the resonator back towards the firewall and remove the intake. Once the intake is out, then you can pull the resonator.
Delighted that you have made repair videos for this vehicle, this is the third family car (E46 BMW and Hyundai Elantra being the others) that I have used from your play list, so a big thank you. In the absence of any obvious issues or codes, how many miles do you recommend for changing out the plugs and ignition coils?
Hi AutoRepairGuys. I have a 2013 journey 3.6L 91k miles. idle is a little rough when warm and idles about 600rpm. No check engine light. Would you recommend spark plug replacement and throttle body cleaning?
Can you make a video detailing the way to remove and replace the Bluetooth module from under the drivers side dash in a 2013 dodge journey rt please? 8.4 unconnect radio with navigation , Bluetooth and voice recognition. Much appreciated 🙏
