    Thanks for posting this video. I was cleaning my throttle body and in an idiotic moment, I blasted the straw off the can, past the throttle body and into the intake. Your video helped me to remove the intake so that I could fish the straw out. Thank you!

    Great video, just a couple notes for people who try to do this.
    1. You do not need to conpletely remove the front brackets, loosen the studs just enough to move them out if the way
    2. You do not need seperate the intakes, getting that back together will be the most frustrating part of this. Just pull it off of the air box is enough.
    3. Buy a torque wrench, they are cheap.
    4. There is a certain order that the intake manifold bolts need to be torqued, a quick google search will show you it.
    5. If you are mossing a grommet, try to replace it.

    • @dgoddard
      @dgoddard 4 місяці тому

      #1 on this list is the main reason I wish I would have read the comments instead of going ahead and tackling this. That bottom stud on the left/front bracket (13MM) was an absolute nightmare to get back in place.
      Kudos to Satan's children (AKA Dodge engineers) for making the repair path so difficult on something that could have been so easy.

      @@dgoddard it's worse on the Durango with the same engine, it's tuned so the belt is forward, so changing belts are stupid easy, getting this off not so much.

      @dgoddard 3 місяці тому

      @@darrellyarborough3934 I think he meant you don't have to take off the intake. And you really don't. But it will get in the way of changing the back side bank (bank 1) if you don't. But it is doable.

      I have been hoarding all the parts / gaskets / etc. to do the coil packs, plugs, throttle body and all the sensors all at the same time. This isn't a difficult process but it's a PITA to have to tear this all down to do the jobs one at a time. Totally agree.

      This looks like two hours tops. Any tech charging over a grand for this is too damn expensive. That is not a logical amount of money, even at a modern labor rate, for the amount of time this takes.
