Me too. I don't watch tv so missed all the big brother stuff but even before her diagnosis when I saw some of it on UA-cam, I was sad to see her like that, she seemed hurt by life, desperate, needy, unhappy. She was a total babe and that's how she should be remembered
If she wasn't a popstar I think Sarah could have been a fashion model. She was beautiful in such a cool and striking way and could pull of those really edgy, high fashion looks. And knew how to *pose* for the camera like a pro.
Nicola's solo during the middle 8 still gives me goosebumps. So understated but so powerful. Definitely the underdog of the group and in my opinion, the best vocalist too
Really sad news about Sarah Harding 😔, thinking of her family and friends at this difficult time. Thank you for your contribution to music with your Girls Aloud family and your at peace now, rip Sarah xx ❤
Don't get me wrong. I am not the biggest Girls Aloud fan in the world. But this is a fantastic pop song. One of the best ever. There is no lead-in, no intro. It starts at a hundred miles an hour & the beat never lets up. Should have been their biggest hit.
Sarah's illness echoed my mum's 10 years ago. Breast cancer which spread to her brain. I know all too well what Sarah and her family were going through in those last few months. Knowing that there is no more suffering does ease things, but at 39, it's still very tragic and her family and friends are going to go through a lot mentally. If there's any light to this news, I hope it spurs on woman of any age to get themselves checked regularly. The idea might be daunting and scary, but it could genuinely save you life. Rest easy now Sarah. I'm not a huge girl/boy group kind of guy, but always had a soft spot for Girls Aloud, and this song in particular was their very best.
I will never understand why Girls Aloud was never promoted to the USA. I heard an excuse that they were “too British” but I just think this was a missed opportunity
Came here to hear Sarah sing what a talent gone but not forgotten her family must be proud of her I loved this song when it came out. Even though I'm a rocker I love great pop songs this is one of them.
I personally met Sarah harding a few years ago she stopped took the time to give me an autograph, I had a photo with her, I can honestly say she was the nicest most pleasant woman you could ever wish to meet, and she's so attractive, she actually spent a couple of minutes chatting it was great meeting her I hope she pulls through god bless her xx
when you guys hit the scene, i was heavily into punk rock, but your musical arrangements and vocal melodies are so utterly divine and timeless it is undeniable, and you make blissful songs. you have made some of the greatest pop music in history, and the absolute finest pop music of the era you came up through. nothing compares.
I love this song. It makes me remember my trip to Kent with some British friends. This was the song Tom, Michael and Sarah were playing in the Car. The year was 2008. RIP, Sarah Harding.
Its an absolute belter this but tinged with the sadness for Sarah. I get so much energy from it so I will convert that energy into love for Sarah, gone way too soon and hope your causing sassy havoc up there with the Big G xxx
I find it sad listening to their songs since Sarah's passing. She was always my favourite member. Beautiful woman. This is a fantastic song - a great slice of British pop from Xenomania and the girls voices enhance this much more.
Call The Shots has one of the most beautiful bridges ever written and sung for a pop song; Nicola’s phrasing is exquisite. It’s so easy to diss a girl group that was put together on a tv show, but out of nowhere, they became a platform for glittering, cutting-edge, pure pop.
The end of the video gives me chills, with Sarah (that part in the album version belongs to Cheryl) and then the view of the sky with the shooting stars ... we will miss you dear Sarah!
02:17 As if this song wasn't already causing enough goosebumps on every single listen, Nicola's angelic voice just pierces the soul like no other. 🙏"Girls Aloud" is truely a gift, thanks to the girls and the UK.
I personally met Sarah she was away from the cameras, she was so down to earth and a genuine Woman I'm sure they all were but Sarah was one of a kind we chatted a good 10 mins she was shopping with her mam, met her on a car park of all places and yes she was so talented and beautiful in real life ❤ her x
She looked beautiful with any haircut. But she said in an interview back then that she regretted this style and compared it to Spock from Star Trek hehe
I have never actually cried over a celebrity's death. I mean I feel saddened, but I have never actually shed tears for someone I didn't know. I've been a fan of them for so long and took in all media I could of them, she was always my favorite of the five. Sarah's passing just hurt on a different level. RIP 🌹🥀
i feel you i came here after i saw Kimberly 's post about Sarah's passing. it looks like that they felt like they have lost a sister to them and we will forever support GA if they come back as a foursome or never come back at all. we always have their songs to look back at the good times. i mean all british bands has felt sadden of Sarah's death even steps made a post and so did Atomic Kitten. it really just goes to show on how big GA were.
@Some One sorry I never seen your comment, middle 8 Is the middle section of a song that changes the melody and is significantly different to the rest of the song and often used to build up to the final chorus :)
My favourite girls aloud song so sad about sarah Harding rest in peace sing i wont cry because ive stumbled through this far too the beautiful angels that surround you thanks for the music 💖
The fact that Sara appears at the end of the video with that iconic sight looking at the camera, and then a star fades in the sky, makes so much sense now. She will be truly missed... RIP.
Girls Aloud were a pop band like no other. Perfect, catchy, often unusual pop songs. You hear a GA song, you know it’s them. They had their very own sound. There will never be another group like them!
RIP Sarah, this is my favorite GA tune (and The Promise) she was the most interesting member of the group by far, very very sad what has happened. Will never be forgotten due to her talent and involvement in superior tunes like this x
It still boggles my mind how, Girls Aloud didn't see the brilliance of this track. They should have released it world wide. It's a shame it wasn't a number one in the Uk, as it's obviously one of the most mature, beautiful and distinct songs ever recorded by a girl group. It's perfection.
I've listened to this song for 12 years now and still haven't gotten tired of it. RIP Sarah Harding 5 Sept, 2021
I love this song ,God rest her restless soul.
for sure
Thanks for the morbid comment
Sarah had a classic vintage look like Dusty Springfield from 2007 onwards
i've seen life flow by like a river...😭
love Nadines voice
Their most sophisticated-sounding (and arguably best) song
I came here soon as I heard the news. I loved Sarah in this video & song. Gosh I feel awful, rest in peace beauty!

This is without a doubt the best song for Girls Aloud. So underrated. It healed me lol.

That's beautiful. X
I wish that the cvd jab didn't cause her passing. Sarah didn't deserve that, god bless

This is my favourite Girls Aloud song. ✨🩷
Very sad Sarah is no longer with us can hardly believe it life is so precious she never got to get old and will remain young forever
These girls wa the best in my opinion, so sad lovely Sara passed so young, life is so short, but she was a great Girl Sara was

@Some One Are you really that incapable of finding the part yourself? People on YT aren't here to serve you.
Joe absolutely. It’s only 3 and a half mins, not 2 hours!
Better than Nadine?
Nadine has the best voice.
Nadine and Sarah are the best vocalists. Nicola is one of the weakest, which is why she rarely starts a song or leads on the chorus.
Takes me back to simpler times. We'll never get these days back. Really makes me shed a tear.
R.I.P Sarah

Greatest pop song of all time? Maybe so.
Toss up between this and Jane Wiedlin's Rush Hour.
This was the best single by far head and shoulders above the rest they released.
