yummy
I have been looking for a recipe that doesn’t have much unhealthy ingredients. This was perfect! I love it! Subscribed! Check!
I’ve done blueberry muffins 3 different ways this week. This by far tops them all! I’m sticking to this recipe forever😊I only included the lemon zest, light brown sugar (it was the only sugar I had) and used extra virgin olive oil instead (the one thats for baking Filippo Berio brand)
Awesome recipe, I used frozen blueberries and these worked fine too (just washed & dried them first to avoid discolouring batter too much)
I made this with dried blueberries it tasted even better
I made them today and they are delicious!
Thanks Kendall, glad you liked them.

crumble topping:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
3 tbsp brown sugar pinch lemon zest
4 tbsp butter
Sounds delicious.
I followed this recipe today but I used raspberries instead of blueberries.I can honestly say they have turn out great, there light and Fluffy and its definitely the best I've tried.
Me and my kids love them, thanks
Thank you so much Matty we are glad to hear that you and the kids loved them!❤️
These where fantastic! One other thing I did was ad 1/2 cup mashed blueberrys and I also took them out 15 min into baking and sprinkled extra sugar then let them bake for 10 more minutes ❤
Sounds delicious!
Honestly your channel deserves more attention like tasty
Thank you kindly!!
@@SoTastylicious welcome u are the best
Ur a pro
Thank you so much 😀
These look so good!!! Can I use frozen blueberries?
Yes you can, coat them in a little bit of flour and you may have to bake them for a few ( up to 5 ) minutes longer.
I made these today, they came out very well. I usually dislike cooking/ baking but this recipe was extremely easy and understandable (even for beginners). Thank you for the clear presentation! I wonder if replacing the blueberries for chocolate chips would need readjusting certain ingredients (eg the sugar) or steps (eg coating the chocolate chips in flour).
I made these with chocolate chips an still coated them in flour, it seems to stop them from sinking to the bottom of the batter. I adjusted the recipe by adding 1/4 tsp of baking powder and 1/4 less baking soda.
@@Bunny-ei1wx thanks! I'll also coat them but more lightly because I hope they melt inside the muffin.
You've definitely got me as a subscriber. I just did.
I'm thinking that it would very easy to modify this recipe to almost any fruit. Larger fruit could be chopped up into blueberry sized chunks. Trying this recipe with chocolate chips and bits of strawberry could get really interesting & tasty. Oranges could be something of a challenge, but your flour trick would probably make it turn out alright.
Thank you so much for subscribing. You can absolutely modify the recipe using other fruits, nuts, chocolate chips, etc. We would love to hear how it turns out.
@@SoTastylicious I'll let you know.
So good. Why do you coat the blueberries in flour? Never seen it done like that does that help them stay whole while cooking?
It absorbs some of the liquid from the blueberries and keeps them from sinking to the bottom of the muffin.
Tastylicious ah cool! Great hack! Thank you for answering
You’re welcome 😀
It keeps them from sinking.
Thxs. Simple recipe 😊
Just wish the ingredients/ w/amount needed were listed in the description
The full recipe with ingredients is listed under the video in the description.
Hey, I Am Just Curious & I Love Learning New Things! What Does Coating Thee Blueberries With Flour Help With ? I Will Be Making This Recipe Tomorrow😊
Thanks for the question. The answer is that It absorbs some of the liquid from the blueberries and keeps them from sinking to the bottom of the muffin. Let us know how it turns out for you!!
Thee Muffins Are Delicious🙌🏽 !!!
This looks delicious i can’t wait to try it 😋 quick question : can i use coconut oil instead of vegetable oil ? or would that change the texture ? Thank you!
Absolutely. Use the same amount of melted coconut oil in place of the vegetable oil. Texture will be very similar, flavor maybe slightly different.
@@SoTastylicious Thanks for being so helpful 🥰 I’m definitely subscribing to your channel
Thank you so much Meriem, let us know how it turns out .
Can this be made for cakes as well?
Never tried it as a cake, I would think yes, let us know how it turns out.
My muffins turned out way better than some of the bakeries in my town! 😊
Do I add some baking soda? Coz my muffins wont rise much
Make sure baking powder is fresh, if you add baking soda it’s 1/4 teaspoon per 1 cup of flour.
Can I make these in a cake tray because I don't have a cupcake tray
Sure. Just watch bake time.May be different.
Can you also put chocolate chips in the muffins as well?
Instead of blueberries? Sure.
Ok thank you 🙃
Happy to help.
Can we add lemon inside the wet ingredients and how much do I add? and does it work if I added vanilla essence instead of vanilla extract
For Lemon Blueberry Muffins add 2 teaspoons of lemon zest to your sugar and mix until fragrant, add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to your wet ingredients. Vanilla Extract is normally twice as strong as vanilla essence, so increase the amount of vanilla essence.
@@SoTastylicious okk thank u so much ❤
Is it alright if I use canola oil instead of vegetable oil?
Yes, canola oil is a type of vegetable oil so it's ok to substitute, but it may give them a slightly different taste and texture.
Hi I don't have a vegetable oil, can I use olive oil instead?
Absolutely
Just made this today bc I was bored in the rainy weather.
It was great, but here are a few tips:
-Sift all the dry ingredients-- doing so helps prevent clumps
-Use fresh blueberries rather than frozen, as frozen will slowly melt and darken the color of the batter (my mistake, but more of a visual difference than taste)
-I didn't use a full cup of sugar, because that would mean a third of the batter would be sugar, making the muffins too sweet.
-If you use regular-sized cupcake tins, this makes around 16-18 muffins
-Every oven is different, and not everyone has a thermometer, so the toothpick tip is really helpful
-Also I'm not sure why, but my batter was way less watery than it was in the video. I added a bit more oil and milk, but be careful with consistency and adjust accordingly :)
Can I use brown sugar instead of white? It’s what I have in the pantry at the moment.
Yes. Use the same amount. It may change color and texture some though.
This looks good but if I don’t want the muffins to be too sweet is it possible if I can put less sugar in it?
Absolutely.
Can i use self raising flour instead??
Yes
Can i use melted butter instead of vegetable oil?
Yes you can, but we prefer vegetable oil because it’s mild flavor doesn’t compete with the main flavor of the muffin and vegetable oil makes your muffins more moist than butter does.
Can I do this but without the vanilla extract?
Absolutely.
@@SoTastylicious will it taste the same? That’s what I’m really asking
Can I use blueberry filling instead?
And is the temperature in Fahrenheit or Celcius?
I wouldn’t recommend using pie filling it will discolor your batter
Fahrenheit
Can I possibly use frozen blueberries?
Yes
I just made this recipe and it was delicious.. I chose it bc it used less oil and milk …
This is what I did to take this recipe up a notch....
* I browned the butter then cooled it before adding eggs to it ..
* I added 1 lemon zest and half the juice of the lemon
* I used heavy cream instead of milk
* I curdled the cream with the 1/2 of the lemon juice ..
* I added a pinch of cinnamon…
They came out really good. Making burnt/brown butter instead of just oil really made them tasty .. the cream lightened texture up and the lemon zest made the blueberry flavor pop …
is that recipe for 12 muffins? how long can you store unused batter in the fridge?
Yes 12 muffins. You can store unused batter in the fridge for up to 48 hours or freeze for up to 3 months.
Are these mini muffins?
No they are regular size muffins.
Whats the name of the song?
"Just Right", by Generation Lost
Mine is so dry on top and not fluffy. What did i do wrong??
Try adding a little more milk.
Is there no butter in this recipe?
No butter, using oil makes the muffins more moist, but if you prefer butter substitute 5 1/3 tablespoons for the 1/3 cup of oil, melt the butter and then let it cool for a bit before adding it.
Half a cup of milk wasn’t enough for me
Yes i also had to add a little bit more
I accidentally put the blueberries into the dry ingredients, now I think it’s ruined. 😔
If you’re using fresh blueberries just pick them out and continue with the recipe.
It doesn't matter. It will be good.
The temperature 375…. Is it in Fahrenheit or Celsius???
Fahrenheit
Can this be made Eggless???
Sure, replace the eggs with 1/3 cup of applesauce.
Anything else???? I don't know about apple sauce😅
You could also replace the eggs with yogurt or mashed bananas
How much the quantity???
1/3 cup
Did anyone else's batter come out WAY thicker??
Yeah, mine did. What could we have done wrong?
@@nkechiogwuadi5197 did you use frozen blueberries? that could do
These didn’t even last a day!
Thank you
You’re Welcome.
Great recipe... but what's with the hideous music 😮
375° !!?
My oven wouldn't allow me to bake at this temperatur. I sat it to 175° instead.
Ohhh it's 375 F. For me it's 190 C
Had to MUTE THE SOUND. Can't stand that stupid music. Would be better if you had the baker, talking about what she is doing, as she mixes the ingredients!!!
Just appreciate, don’t complain
Gonna make these right now because I’m pregnant and craving sweets !!!!! 😂 thanks 🙏🏽
Hope you and the baby enjoy!!😀
Can I use cake and pastry flour?
Absolutely.
