I’m an Architect but would like to pursue a Graduate program in business as I would like to put up my own Architectural firm. Whether I work in US, or Canada or I go back to my own country to work is not an issue because there are many opportunities in any of these countries. But where do you think it’s better to take such graduate course?
If the funding of your studies is important to you, I would recommend Canada. US business schools are just way overpriced in my opinion, and unlike US graduate programs in STEM fields, you don't get the same juicy financial assistance with US graduate programs in business. So Canada takes the Win!
Though I agree with your practical and wise assessment on this issue, I have a much easier way for a student to gauge which country is better to peruse an education and eventually immigrate to. People are willing to risk death to get into America for the simple fact of the most opportunities on Earth. People are far less likely to risk their lives to immigrate to Canada. In fact, 22% of newly immigrated Canadians use that country as a stepping stone to immigrate to the US. Canada struggles to maintain ‘brain wealth’. The reasons are many but Canadians don’t seem to listen to Americans....they just judge us based on “Tall Poppy Syndrome”. America has its problems and we admit it. Canada has the same problems but lives in a state of denial and delusion. I studied in both countries. The US is much more diverse in education. Period.
Yeah but there's also a huge huge huge population from US that tries to come to Canada each year Some people think that the american dream doesn't exist anymore, now it's the Canadian dream. I'm proud of my Canadian nationality and i'll never take the us one. And we are so many in my case 😉
