To some extent, this is true. I said this because he is not the only one with good intentions for everyone to succeed. Others, such as Kingsford Onyina also have good intentions for everyone to succeed, just like almighty Fred.❤❤❤
Wow! Loaded. Best video I've seen so far on US/Canada study comparison. Thank you Fred, for putting this out here; more grace. You asked the right questions. This video has helped my choice decision. Thank you, Ayisha for sharing your US/Canada experience.
Thanks for the video, it’s so accurate, As a US citizen having stroll both countries, I recommend Canada 🇨🇦 for international students because they can give u documents to stay after school. US won’t 😂 da forgerrit if that’s ur hope. As for the accent I don’t side with her koraa, even after 10yrs koraa most of us won’t change, Gh accent will always dominate. I recently drove to Canada Vancouver to see my friends studying there, they have great offer, the allowance for their kids, cheap medical etc. Except the rent which is too high. One lady in a shared 3 bedroom house pays Ca $ 950 each.
In Canada, international students can work up to 20 hr/week while studying provided that they are studying fulltime in a DLI and their student permit allows it. During summer months (not studying), they can work fulltime. Temporarily, Canada allows those international students who were in Canada (with student permit allowing to work) on 7th Oct 2022 to work full time during the period from 15th Nov 2022 to 31st Dec 2023.
@@nsanzimanajanvier8325 Here are some steps: 1) IELTS exam; 2) Funding 3) Look for school & major based on your budget 4) Apply to school; 5) Pay tuition and receive Letter of Acceptance; 6) Apply via IRCC Portal (with Statement of Purpose); pay $150 CAD; 7) Receive email for Biometric; 8) Interview.
In USA, student with F-1 visa are not allowed to work off-campus, except for CPT (Curricular Practical Training) and OPT (Optional Practical Training). Students can work 20 hrs on-campus, serving fellow students. During summer months when they are not studying, students can work fulltime except that most campus cafeterias and bookstores are either closed or operating in reduced hours.
Fred, this video contains much more information and give me a solid guideline to take the decision of my destination. If I say thanks a lot both of you, it will be little, I just say Almighty bless all of you and please keep it up for us..............💯❤❤ ❤
For those who are fluent in French (such as those from West Africa), starting in Fall 2023, if you study in French at a DLI outside of greater Montreal area in Quebec, you will be paying the same tuition as local residents (about $3000 CAD/yr). This is for the entire diploma or degree. Eligible fields are IT, engineering, social and health services, and education (including early childhood education). International students can work 20 hr/week while studying.
@@bobiwongritarita8699 Look for "Exemption from differential tuition fees depending on the program of studies and the region". Quebec made eligible colleges and universities as gatekeepers; they will decide who to admit for the program.
It would have been great if she highlighted how it is easier to get admission in the United States. Most programs Canada requires you to secure a supervisor before you apply to the university while most programs in USA only needs you to align your research interest(s) with professors in the department.
I have few questions I would want to ask you Fred. I completed UCC distance education with GPA 2.6. I did Diploma in Basic Education. Is there a way for me please? And if so, is it undergraduate program or graduate?
The holding of door and thank you “thing” are both very common here in North Carolina too . Was pleasantly surprised to notice that . Her specific experiences can’t be used as a generalization. mThere’re Ghana shops littered all over NC and yes there’s kenkey . 😂
@@The_Fred_Effect I remember hearing her say it depended on which part of the US you find yourself. And she used Athens and Columbus as examples because that’s where she lived.
I think her deficit in Ohio University depended on the kind of scholarship she got. Maybe she got GRS when she was in Ohio University. I’m studying in Ohio University currently for a masters programs and my scholarship is 97%. I have a GA. Therefore my deficit per session is less than $500
Is it possible to gain admission to University in either Canada or USA as an undergraduate student without having my secondary transcripts available for now. But I have my WAEC and NECO final Certificate
It is easier to get PR in Canada than USA. I want to point out to you that, for Canadians, there are 63 occupations that qualify for TN-1 visa under USMCA agreement. TN-1 visa allows Canadians to work temporarily in USA; it is a 3-yr non-immigration, renewable visa that can be obtained for $60 at US-Canada border. Therefore, pick your major carefully in university. You can have both Canadian and USA job markets opened up for you.
@@kennykentoh3475 Study something that you like and where you are strong. Develop on your strength and you will become great. Develop on your weakness, you will become mediocre. If you are strong in Math and Science, I recommend engineering. In North America, they outsource computer programming work overseas; it may be fine when you are young but definitely won't bring you to retirement.

What if you speak French but not fluently?
@@freddyjafar1490 The main thing is that you need to understand the teachers and textbooks. Quebecois French sounds different as well.
