Hi! Thanks for useful information. I will be studying masters with duration of 2 years in US. My studies are entirely funded by my home country. I am planning to come with mu husband, and hope he will be able to work legally. So i am considering j1-j1 visas. My questions is am i allowed to apply for j1 as a full time masters student? And another question is can i continue my PhD in UK for example, but not return exactly to my home country for 2 years (my country is Kazakhstan). Will be glad if you could help) thanks!

Hello please I am coming for a cultural exchange program but after I got my visa my place of intern said they weren’t going to continue with me doing my exchange program with them because of the expenses that comes with it so my program sponsor got me a new place for my exchange program with a new offer and training plan but I still have the previous Ds2019 and servis receipt I used to get my visa please Is that going to be an issue for me and also my program is for 1year please will I need a return ticket when booking my ticket…please an answer will be really appreciated

Instead it says "if you donot see your receipt number listed above, you should file for premium processing on the paper form I-907" Why is that ? Background: My stem opt receipt date is April 5th, currently April 11th dates are getting approval. I dont know why i havent received a decision yet. Please respond and help.

Hello Sojourning Scholar, I would appreciate your help and suggestions in my case. To provide context, I graduated recently with a master's degree and applied for my EAD card on March 12, 2024. My OPT start date was June 17, 2024, and my case was approved on March 31, 2024. The card was produced on June 14, 2024, three days before the OPT start date. However, I have not yet received the physical EAD card via USPS, even though it has been one month and fifteen days since its production. I have contacted both USCIS and USPS and raised an E-enquiry on the USCIS portal regarding the missing EAD card, but I have not received any substantial information. I am concerned about the unemployment days accumulating since June 17, 2024, as F1 OPT students have a 60-90 day unemployment limit. Can you please help me out?

According to 8 CFR 214.2(f)(10)(ii)(A)(3) "Continued enrollment, for the school's administrative purposes, after all requirements for the degree have been met does not preclude eligibility for optional practical training." - does this imply I can continue enrolling for courses in my original degree program for the purpose of for example completing a thesis/dissertation? I really need to know this as my DSO has not provided any clear guidance for months now.
