I'm a beginner at acrylic painting and priming a canvas so this video was very helpful. I also now know what those wood pieces are for, too! 😄 I'm ready to make some quality art! Let's do this! Thank you, Julie.
I’m a beginner and looking forward to painting with your tips! My first painting is a landscape but I’m practicing blending and it’s not going like it should. 😏😊💕
Please help me. I've just finished a commissioned acrylic painting and need to know if adding Gesso to the back will harm the painting later? Thank you
Hello, i want to use sizing on my pre primed canvas but i am not sure...would you use gac 100 on the back of a pre primed canvas as it is unprimed? And is it ok to use gac 100 on the front of a pre primed canvas? Can't seem to find the answer. Thank you for your video 😊
Awesome !! Yes you can, but I’m always kind of skeptic about the fact that you’ll get some dust from sanding on your painting. So if you do so, I’d put a layer of gesso on top of it, and reaaaally be careful to get out all of the dust and little particules that you sanded off ! 😊
Hi ! I get them from local shops, i live in france so not sure you will have the same ?? :/ the shops: Boesner, Cultura, le géant des beaux arts Sorry if this doesn't help you much :(

Julie, If your surface isn't smooth enogh, can you sand it softly?
Awesome !!

My pleasure 😃
My canvas didn't come with those wood pieces lmao. (Dollar store)
Normally you can buy some in art stores (very cheap) if needed :))
Any substitute for Gesso?
Not really, I now just buy preprimed canvases, so I don't have to necessarily use gesso any more (except if i'm correcting a mistake)
