ohmygawwd! you are so freakin right! making these pouches are like an addiction! I LOVE MAKING THEM! I JUST FINISHED ONE AND I WANT TO MAKE ANOTHER ONE! now i tell you i just gotten into working with zippers and i also ordered some zippers from Amazon and yeah, they were a challenge to work with but with patience (and prayer) i got the hang of it!
My first one is finished and I love the results! All your instructions were excellent! I did interface each pocket exterior. Also I left the top of the small pocket open to form a slip pocket. I’m ready to start Bag #2!
Sounds wonderful!! Slip pockets are definitely one of my favorites to add.. so convenient and easy to add!! Yay thank you for the compliment on my instructions! Happy sewing!
Hi this is the first time that I have come across one of your tutorials and I absolutely loved this. I have already subscribed and waiting for your next tutorial. I also am trying to figure out how I could make this into a crossbody bag with a removable strap so that I could either use it as a wristlet or crossbody. You did a wonderful job of explaining this and it turned out so neat and tidy. Have you ever made this with cork or vinyl?
Awesome! Thank you for subscribing! I will definately be creating one with the suggested crossbody/wristlet option, I love that! I don't think it would work with cork or vinyl unless at the end, instead of turning wrongside out and doing the french seam you cover it with binding on the rightside. That would be nice too!
Love this double zip pouch! I love french seams also. Next time I do french seams, I am following your lead and trimming the first SA down to 1/8 inch. These bags look great even without interfacing - economical and time saving! You teach well! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I’m glad I was able to share a new tip, I love picking up new ideas to better the things I make as well! Indeed economical and I know a lot of crafters may not have interfacing on hand, so it’s so convenient that it doesn’t need any.
Thank you! Good question! It would take a little more change to make that happen but you sure could make a slip pocket there. You would want to sew the small pieces wrong sides together if not using a zipper and add a snap of sorts to keep the pocket closed.
@ okayestfamilytravels I did everything the same on the small pocket, including the zipper. Then I just omitted the sewing of the small pocket top to the large pocket. It worked great!
Hey Melissa. Thanks for this video. Love this pouch. I made one a little smaller and it came out great. It took me 3 hours, though! 😂. Is there any way you can do a video on making this pouch as a wristlet? Thanks.
Thank you!! Costs vary so much so it’s hard to say. It is also hard to say what they would retail for, that depends on fabrics used, and the location of sale. See you next week! 🌺
Omg when I seen this video! I thought hell no I can make this. But I continue to watch the video. And I said I can make this. So please tell me zipper tape. Is that different to a normal zipper? Love your videos thank you for sharing a subscribe member for life
You go girl!!! Make one! Or ten!! Zipper tape is basically zipper by the yard and then you buy zipper pulls to make multiple zippers out of the yardage. Same function as regular zippers but so many more options and colors to choose from! Thank you for subscribing!! Yay!

You do nice work!

Love this project! Could you not stitch the top of the paisley part down and make it a slip pocket?

Yay!! Yeah the more you do the easier they get. That’s a great idea, I will add wristlet to my “to do” video list. I love wristlets.. ❤️
Good directions! I would appreciate knowing your cost of materials and a.recommended price for items you sell. Please do more videos!!

Do you have fabric cut/zipper measurements/sizing for the same design but a bit smaller? Maybe a finished 7.5w x 9h and with French seams.
I don’t, but will keep this in mind for future posts!

@@MelissaRenaeMade thank you for replying so quickly. How long have you been sewing?
@tanyacorey8641 I started in 2012… didn’t even know how to change the bobbin! 😂
@@MelissaRenaeMade wow you have come a long way.
Right!! I went from selling finished products I made in my ETSY shop and in local stores to teaching it!!
You are not in the camera at times… Can’t see your Work.
I’m sorry to hear that! Can you tell me about what part of the video you aren’t seeing my work, I can try to help.
