Also I have looked at many of your videos and you use a range of boilers, which is in your opinion the best again for reliability. I notice through looking many use lots of pvc instead of copper and heat exchanger option Ally or Steel. You seem a trustworthy engineer so I value your opinion for 2022 boiler options.

My grandma had a condensate pump fitted on her new boiler. I couldnt live with the noise to be honest. Our boiler is in a airing cupboard in the middle of the house but the plumber managed to get the waste into the bath waste across under the landing floor.
Can i do something to make my private landlord put my a combi boiler in? I have lived in a private rented house since 2012. The old back boiler does not heat the raidiators and to heat the water it takes 6 hours just to luke warm.landlord knows and does nowt. I usually go to bed and put my electric blanket on when its very cold just to keep warm.please advise.thank you
If you don't have an outside wall at the back of the airing cupboard to take the vents, can you run a long pipe into the loft above , then run it horizontally to an outside wall in the roof apex, or would that be too long?
I have 13 year old Viessman Vitodens 100 that had a pin hole leak in one of the black nylon pipes 2 years ago. Sprayed everywhere. Undecided between Viessman Valient or Worcester for next one?
101ventus I would stay with the viessmann boilers, you done well for yours being that old was it reliable enough during that period ? one of mine is 11 years old and has been absolutely brilliant
Salim Khan Hi Salem boiler condensate pipe was was installed wrong which flooded the combustion chamber and that needed changing but it had flooded the main control panel. After that the flapper valve stuck several times and several pipes in the boiler leaked over the years. Recently had numerous fault codes f5 I think and eventually had to have new control panel. Over the last 12 months it has been ok. So not trouble free by any means but I do still sort of like the Viessmann brand
101ventus aaaah ! that sounds like an old WB1A model, it was the first viessmann to be introduced over here I think,that flapper was a nightmare for me! Rest assured the wb1b and newer models were much better and improved I’ve fitted dozens of the newer 100,s & especially the 050 models, they’ve all been bulletproof reliable, the 200 series is the state of the art best boiler u can buy,
Does the condensate pump run all the time or has a flow switch, and just empties when the tank is full, I'm just picking up on the noise issue, mentioned below in the other comments, Cheer,s another brilliant video.
Have viesmann cured the blockage problem with putting in copper pipes over the rubber hoses, or is it a matter of time will tell? Never understood why the old vitodens model blocked even with a system filter.
Where did you get the cold mains feed from into the boiler? I presume you tee'd a connection from the pipe that's going into the loft? Below the floorboards
Hi Allen, great video. I wish I had you to do mine. I had a very big gas company do mine. They flooded my home, I paid for a power flush which I am sure is done properly as all the radiators remained in the shut position throughout the flushing. I had a Valiant eco Tec 24 boiler fitted into my home. I live in a 4 bedroom semi with one bathroom ( soon adding an independent shower) and 12 radiators soon to be 12 when I complete the garage conversion. Would you have used that size boiler?
hi i have the alpha e tec 28 fitted, ive got some knocking and i was wondering if you could help. everytime it starts up it makes some clicking sounds usually 3 or more, but i think thats normal straight after there are 3 knocking noises that can be heard around the house. it also does the 3 knocking sounds everytime it shuts down. many thanks alan.

Personally I’d rather run a gas pipe up the outside of a house than under a floor where someone may well put a nail through it etc. Safety comes way before aesthetics.
I take it that when converting to a Combi from a conventional system you connect the new flow from the Combi to the rad circuit in airing cupboard and the new return pipe to the old cylinder return that would have went back to the old boiler? Then just cap of the old flow and returns from the old boiler?
Allen can say how much you going to charge the customer for a job like this? You dont have to be precise but just roughly...like between 1k and 2k or 3k and 4k some thing like that. Love your hilti pressfit tool.

Terrible customer service i ve explained 12year old vaillant fitted in the same block with no scale reducers are fine. We have over 150 fitted in 3 tower blocks and id say over half have problems with several non fix interpants visits. We are a local authority with buying power hate to think how they would treat the sole trader.
@@UrbanPlumbers all parameters as per mi's and scaled after 3 months, do they need weekly servicing? On clean flushed new rad systems. They are shit! Each to their own. Vaillant all the way i can accept the diverter and lwps f75 problems and thats down to installation usually

Paul W The filling loop that comes with boiler is also designed to fit on the return pipe. My question is why is it fitted on return pipe. I have also seen it fitted on flow, does the same job.
@@ImranAli-oi4jv Nothing more then it A)esthetically looks better B)closest return path for the cold inlet C)stated in most MI's I've seen a few boilers where it's been integrated into the flow. The real key in water regs is back flow prevention.

Hay that's my exact boiler. It's only had 3 bits go wrong in the last two years. It's been in since around 1993.

Pleased you didn’t have to run the gas up the outside wall. Does look unattractive when I see this done but I guess sometimes can’t be avoided.
