I don't personally have a lot of time for the Apple ecosystem, what with their approach towards product repair but, even so, I don't think I would be climbing under a car while wearing my Apple Watch :)
Did you determine if the fuel pump caused the burnt wire, or was it poor connection, pump ok. I think I'd check amp draw vs new motor rated amps to be on the safe side. And relay contacts and wire size also rated for new pump. Love your car, DC is so unforgiving. Lots of cars burn from no fuse protection, wire size, and poor connections. Sorry, don't mean to preach, love your car.
I have a 1969 Camaro and plan follow your build closely. At least to the present we are on the same track, keep up the good work and I'm glad we aren't watching your car go up in flames.
hopefully you won't have anymore tank related fuel issues, full tanks aren't fun to deal with, suddenly you need three 5 gallon cans to transfer fuel into.
Spade connectors in a fuel tank is a explosion waiting to happen. Did not see how you connected your new pump but all open connections must be on the outside of the tank!
@@ClassicOctane Thanks They say you need to run it above the top of the filler neck(highest point in the system) which is pretty tough to do Appreciate your help
Definitely would love to see a review of the vintage air. I have always thought about it on my 72 chevelle but hesitant because I have not see lot of them. Looking forward to an honest review of it.
Love the car man and would definitely like to see more of it on the channel. The exhaust sounds great. Any plans to add the full tail pipes out the back? I think it would sound even better plus have way less droning inside the car.
I’m about to install same tank and pump in 67 This has me a little nervous Please let us know if you ever figure out the culprit for the burnt ground Thanks
The bad ground was the connection at the pump , the electrons trying to pass thru the higher resistance at the pump caused the excessive heat , i have seen this before on fuel pumps working as a tech for close to 30 years now , the redundant ground is a great idea but likely not the cause. Can't stress the need for load appropriate wires , good clean tight connection and good grounds in any situation.
Yes, more Camaro content!!
Scary finding that melted ground! Glad you sorted it. That car sounds really good

i should speak last about draining the tank..... took my bikes tank off (3/4's full) to swap out the plugs, i had a headache for days from the fumes

Right on, putting my 69 together right now following some of your lead. Keep it up!
Lol it has to happen right after you fill the tank to make it that much more difficult.
My 69 copo camaro has been in storage for over 25 years, sir... you're very inspiring
Let me know if you want me to take it off your hands :-). Thanks for watching
I hate changing fuel pumps that you have to drop the tank
That could have been dangerous
How about you do some pulls !!!!
More Camaro content please!

The new pump had integrated wiring so no spade connectors. Not sure why Walbro would have those on the old pump.
Car sounds amazing.😁
Im Jelly! Man, My wife totaled my 2014 Challenger... Aaaarrgghh! Ended up buying a pickup truck... I miss that fun ride!
Can wait for the new content on this
Beautiful car.
Nice one 👍
Can I ask where you ran your vent line to?
Trying to figure out the best place to vent mine
Thanks
I ran it to the top of the tank strap. It put's the vent just higher than the top of the tank. Seems to work well.
@@ClassicOctane Thanks

Sweet!!
You definitely have the best musical sound tracks of all my podcasts. Only to be exceeded by the sound of your Camaro's exhaust.
Great car and video. Lucky the tank didn't blow!! Sounds awesome now. Later dude :)
YAAAAS more Camaro content!! Let's see the vintage air install.
