Thank You very much, used your method for tea sandwiches for 50 members of my hiking club. The lemon zest really set the salmon off. The afternoon was a smash!
I use party rye, spread it with lemon butter, top the salmon with a swirl of cream cheese and a sprig of dill. For Christmas, I cut them with a Christmas tree cookie cutter.
if you go to a bakery for your bread, they will cut the crusts off for you. they will also slice the loaf lengthwise, which is easier to put together if you're feeding a crowd. the bread itself is usually denser as well and can be sliced thinner........ask for the crusts to make croutons later.
This was so wonderful! I love how you made the butter and cream cheese more fluffy. If I were in the kitchen, I would eat up all those crusts with the salmon and butter!!!!
Is it possible to make the cucumber sandwiches the night before and serve them the next day at a brunch? How do I ensure that they don't get soggy? Also, do they have to covered in cling wrap and refrigerated overnight to prevent them from getting dry?
Anita Ramani You can try deseeding the cucumber maybe? Would definitely cling wrap the sandwiches or the smell of the fridge will taint your hard work. All the best Anita!
I’d love to experience authentic afternoon tea (sandwiches and tea go well together & I love scones) but only once or twice per year (I estimate it’s probably at least 2000 calories - without the top layer of desserts). It would be my only meal of the day. I was shocked to hear it’s considered a midday meal between lunch & dinner - I’d be so stuffed. I roll my eyes when I hear ppl talk about the right way to spread this or that, hold the cup, etc. As long as there isn’t any grossness at the table, is it really that serious?
Perhaps it would be worthwhile to invest in the presentation of food in such videos. Serving is half of the deliciousness of the food. Now it looked like a Greek bachelor had put the breads out.
This is my favorite tea sandwiches video on youtube
I've often made finger sandwiches for tea, both salmon and cucumbers. Adding the flavored butter to the smoked salmon is brilliant!
Love your tips
Your recipes are great! Thank you for sharing!
Here from Italy, thank you very much for this recipe, I’m gonna prepare this today in the afternoon, with some buns and tea of course!

You're very welcome! We'll pass on your thanks to Will Torrent - he'll be pleased that you like the video!
If it's about tea and sandwiches I'll subscribe 😂❤️
My father was of Irish, Scotch, Welsh, English and German decent and enjoyed butter on his sandwiches.

Lovely sandwiches, good tips
Good video 👍👌👏😋
With Each whole sandwich is cut into 3 sections, how many whole sandwiches should you make per person? Thank you.
Thank you for showing a cuke Sammie ! I was appalled to see no mention of a cucumber sandwich on another tea sandwich video.
I like to do my smoked salmon tea sandwiches on party rye if I can find it.
This makes me want nothing more than to have a tea time....
Omg I try you recipes and was mind blowing! So delicious!!!
I have found if you make the sandwiches up three layers of semi frozen bread you can get a really clean cut into fingers

Thank you Sir. Zaida Puerto Rico
Hi- When you mentioned “butter” in your book, is it salted or u salted? Thank you!!
So when do you prepare them? In advance or just begore tea?
No more than half hour before to avoid sogginess. That is also why you need butter...to form a layer protecting the bread. Cucumbers are very wet.
hi how many sandwiches these fillings going to make..thanks for sharing
I don't get why you only have 628 subscribers
Can I make these the night before the tea party?
you can, but must cover them tightly as the bread goes stale very
quickly.
This is awesome - great idea for high tea event :)
The recipe says, 'makes 24', is that whole sandwiches or the smaller, cut sandwiches? Either way, the sandwiches look delish.
The recipes makes 24 smaller cut sandwiches but you could easily scale up the recipe to make more if needed! Thanks :)
so where do u find u-zoo : )) sounds wild and hard to find
Me and tea are inseparable :D
TEA and I .........
Do you toast the bread? Do you have a recipe for egg sandwiches? Thanks for shearing
No! Do not toast the bread! Also, it should be very fresh.
I have such a weakness for tea sandwiches. But it's too much bread.
And where do the crust go? Apparently I don’t live in UK , and I would prefer my bread toasted a little bit.
Feed to the birds round here....

Wait...no watercress
Everyone has their own afternoon tea favourites and we think watercress would be a great addition to these tasty recipes from Will Torrent!
Drink when you hear Little.

Most of the time "tea" is just a scone or something like that, I think. This video is more of a special occasion.
Beware the link for willtorrent-leads to spam/possible malware site. Too bad as the recipe and technique are good.
wot no egg and cress? sad

Delish and elegant. And as unhealthy, unfibered and colon-unfriendly as British food usually is.
Champagne is not for afternoon tea
👍👍
Wear gloves
How patronising, how did I manage all my life making tea and sandwiches ??
This is awesome - great idea for high tea event :)
