      Charlie and his lawyer apparently never discussed how credibility works in a courtroom. Listening to his calls, it's almost like Charlie thought the trial was supposed to be like a boxing match (i.e., him and Georgia Cappleman duking it out ringside, etc.), and he was aiming with his testimony for a TKO.

      the daughter Wendi is guilty as sin, but they were very clever to have no recording with her when mom and son talked. Donna and her son were very careful as they knew their calls were being monitored soon after the murder, that whenever there was a development in the case, they would call each other and say they need to meet at an outside location and they never said one word more on the call about it. The daughter Wendi was fully aware of everything, but they just don't have any evidence to produce. But mom is running the whole show. She was a tough businesswoman. The weakest link was the girlfriend. The cops knew it, and that is why they came down heavy on her. If she had not broken, the cops would never have got justice on this case. The detectives did go over and beyond for this case. The son is right, if it was not a high profile case it probably would not got all the attention and total number of hours it took to bring this case to trial.

I tested my family at Christmas today, my brother got my nieces boyfriend Bullet Bourbon. I asked if he got the recommend from Wendi….crickets. I asked if they followed the trial, no one knew what I was talking about. Charlie is high profile only in his mind. The majority of us don't even know who you are.

      I completely agree, even one jury I think did say that they vaguely recall the case when it was reported nearly a decade ago that there was a fatal shooting of some professor but it stopped there, and the judged ruled that that level of knowledge and awareness was fine. I’ve also heard from multiple people the same as you - most people would have no idea if you said the Adelson name and would probably be shocked that there is any sort of trial now for a death from all that time ago! They are obsessed with people being obsessed with them when most don’t even have a clue about a what Adelson who? 😂

    • @machineofadream
      @machineofadream 11 місяців тому +10

      Absolutely. The case is relatively well known, but most people still don't know about it. It doesn't affect people's everyday lives. The murder happened years ago. People may have heard about it in passing, but won't know details unless they care to listen. Many people don't watch the news regularly. Getting a jury who doesn't have a bias shouldn't be that hard.

      No I don't believe they have shame..... You saw it on Donna's face during her preliminary where she showed such arrogance and like she couldn't believe that she's actually being treated this way😮

    He really thinks he had a good performance on the stand. That’s the difference between doctors and professionals at the corporate and institutional level with investment banking or enterprise sales. He has no clue what a solid performance is. Picking teeth all day and convincing people for a living are vastly different.

    There's no difference between the Adelson's clan and the Wagner Clan in Pike County; both are trashy. I wonder if Donna and Charlie can make inmate to inmate calls😅. I wonder how their Holidays without sunshine is going.

    11:21 Charlie is speaking on his ex wife being 24 & 17 when he met her, Donna *gasps* loudly & Charlie says "WHAT IS IT?!?" Donna says..."oh...nothing" & then Charlie seems to catch himself & fix his exes age, "25, I mean she's 25 not 24". What's up there? Something.

      You’ll never hear calls between inmates so don’t get your hopes up because they’re not allowed to make calls to each other number two of their cod defendants so they’re not allowed to have any contact whatsoever in anyway

      The fact that people try to commit crimes like this in this day and age already shocks me. Ok his mom is old so she may not realize how far things have come since the 1970's but her kids do. Even one of them is a lawyer... the fact so many brains here and nobody tanked this idea as insane, is baffling

      LMFAO !
