Great breakdown of the MWC. I enjoy the description of the conferences top teams. New Mexicos dominating win against a tough SDSU was a real eye opener!
I watched that game from start to finish. After a bad start, UNM was absolutely relentless defensively. I've never seen a college team play that well defensively in terms of effort and execution outside of a handful of final 4 games. My god, it was so fun to watch. House and Toppin have insane motors.
It’s about time somebody makes a video on how good the MW is this year. Also don’t sleep on San Jose state or Air Force, they both have a history of pulling lots of upsets in conference
Great Breakdown this MW schedule is going to be a blender for many top teams but if we can at least keep 2 teams in the polls I can see 4 teams going dancing Keep up the great work Luv from Albuquerque NM brotha Go Lobos 🐺❤️
Actually, I see the even competition across the MWC more likely to produce multiple bids. The big problem is that to go deep in the Tournament requires getting a top 32 seed in the tournament and that favors any team that can break out of the pack and establish itself as clearly better than the rest.
Other than last year the MW usually does not do too good in the tournament. It will be interesting to see how they will do if they get 5 or 6 teams in this year.
Posting nearly 2 weeks after this video was published which translates to 3-4 more games, The top 6 is a bloodbath when they play each other. Regardless of standing and ranking, the home team is winning nearly every contest. And, this competitiveness is extending beyond the top 6 mentioned in this video, too. Wyoming was considered part of the bottom 3 or 4 and is crashing the top half of the conference. And, every one of the others including SJSU, Air Force and UNLV are playing really tough, often losing by only a single point or basket to the higher ranked team. Top to bottom, the MWC is really tough this year, and especially for those schools that are at sea level like SDSU, SJSU and Fresno State, it's a real challenge to play road games at high altitude. No other conference presents this kind of physical challenge to member schools.
this conference will just get better when the majority join Oregon State and Washington in the pac 12 while leaving out wyoming and san jose state. could get aac teams like memphis, north texas, utsa, tulane and wichita state on board as well
That's fair. I think with those conferences though it's kind of cyclical. Right now the Mountain West is the best among those, but like 15 years ago the A-10 was getting 3-4 teams in consistently. MWC definitely has the most growth potential moving forward I'd imagine.
What a game last night. Lobos ftw! Just hope that the Lobos can win on the road. With House and Mashburn, healthy. It will be tough for other teams. Their defense has been outstanding against SDSU and Utah St.

Appreciate it! And yeah New Mexico definitely needed that one

I really like UNLV too!
I really like UNLV too!
Glad to see the mountain west flourish as a whole this season. I came across your video and definitely subscribed to your channel.
Go Lobos! 🐺🏀❤️
Thanks so much!
Brutal conference play. Every game is a battle. No gimmies on the schedule and loads of talent in the league.
It's awesome. I'm having so much fun watching it

Great video! Mountain west is going to be one of the best conferences to watch this season!
Appreciate it! Gonna be an exciting season!
If UNM can figure out how to win on the road they'll win the conference. They have a ton of depth everywhere but the 5.
Yeah I think from a pure roster perspective I like them the most.
I heard that House and Mashburn haven't been healthy until a week or two ago. I think it's gonna be their conference to lose from here on out
@@LeviBulgerno it won’t lol, it’ll be sdsu vs usu
@@Roadto134 The two teams that UNM just put a beat down on in back to back games? That SDSU and USU?
@@LeviBulger yup. UNM has tons of road struggles to deal with, 1 game doesn’t define the mw season for sdsu or Utah st

Right it feels like the most promising year from a pure numbers perspective
Great job! Enjoyed your review 👏👏👏👏
Thanks for watching!

It's been awesome to watch yeah
UNLV is really good too tbh
No they aren’t.
UNLV is a top team in the conference. Their record just doesn’t show that. Beat UNM, Boise, and basically beat Utah state.
UNLV is the most underrated team in the conference. I am an Aztecs fan and I think that UNLV can compete with any team in the MWC.
They just started being good
Yeah UNLV is very solid. Just don't have the resume (barring some crazy MW run) to compete for an at-large bid hence why I left them out.
Ian Martinez is him! Doesn't get mentioned enough
Good catch! He's been awesome for USU!
Ian Martinez has been a game changer for sure

Yeah I think merging with Oregon State and Washington State needs to be priority #1.
My only complaint is calling the league a mid major. It’s a major conference. Not high major or power, but also not mid like A10 or CUSA or MVC.

Let's go lobos!
They look like the best team in the MWC at the moment
Go Lobos ❤️🤍❤️🤍❤️🤍
Right on
Thanks!
Go Aggies! 16-1!
Yep came out of nowhere!

@@danielkimura6918 lobos played well no doubt. Getting a road win for them will tell us a lot.
Agreed!
