Both San Diego State (Viejas Arena) and New Mexico (The Pit) are known to be the loudest stadiums on the west coast because they’re built into the ground and the sound doesn’t escape into concourses.
I love Arena auditorium in Laramie. Just like their football stadium, i’m fascinated how they can play basketball at 7220 feet above sea level
My favourite is San Diego State I love that they built it in the old stadiums and some of the stands still there. I really like the Colorado State one too.
That’s my photo at 1:56! Been a fan of this channel for a while, surprised to see that photo in a video 😁
Utah State grad here. I was there during the height of the Aggie basketball years, it was unbelievably loud. The Spectrum remains my favorite sports arena ever.
San Diego State, Boise State and New Mexico arenas have hosted NCAA Tournament Games. In New Mexico's case even hosted a Final Four back in 1983
Thank you for finally doing this. The amount of comments that I have seen to do this is insane.
Can’t leave out how UNLV’s Thomas and Mack center hosts the NBA summer league, along with the next door Cox Pavilion, and I actually went there like 2 days ago and the facilities are amazing and in perfect condition
That place is 💩. Horrible sight lines unless in the lower bowl. The only reason they host is because it’s in Vegas. That said, SDSU has a better record at T&M than any other visiting team
@@Alieh86 dang someone lost to UNLV. im not even a UNLV fan i was just there for NBA. its not terrible
@@qbzeke Compared to Viejas it is. We had to sit in the second tier one year and spent the whole time standing up because you can’t see the court. Viejas’ bench seating is top quality compared. Plus, the food sucks. Viejas has quality food trucks and local eateries all season long. The only thing people buy at the concession stand is beer.
@@Alieh86 San Diego native, UNLV and SDSU alum here. T&M is better. Viejas is boring. Especially these days now that the show is basically gone. Also most SDSU fans as you proved are insufferable and bitter for no reason
@@N1oreo1 trust me. There are ass seats in T&M. Horrible sight lines with railings blocking the view. Viejas is much steeper which means it’s easier to see the court no matter where you sit. Plus, Viejas has WAYYYYYYYYYYYY better food. They bring in great food trucks so you don’t have to eat nasty hotdogs. Getting in is also easier because there is more than one entrance.
The Boise State Bleep totally caught me off guard lol
Could you do the CUSA basketball arenas?
So many good memories of Aggies basketball games. Gets loud for sure in the spectrum.
well now that i think of it the bench seating is weird in the pit but still so many great memories of me and my brother trying to beat each other up on those seats
You finally mentioned hockey!...for five seconds...but still something!
Great episode. I love your sense of humor.
Wow, you are finding all these places no one person knows about, but a few there do! Congrats!
The smith spectrum at Utah State, is legit one of the best crowds I have been in. The students section brings it
@@drewsmith4452 absolutely. The state of Utah as a whole has some great college sports fans honestly
As a Fresno State fan I love our Save Mart Center. But many of us absolutely loved our old Selland Arena in downtown.
You did the AHL and NHL but how about the ECHL?
You should do the MAAC conference. Has some super unique stadiums
You would be hard pressed to convince anyone under the age of 30 that The Pit hosted a Final Four.
it’s true they have a whole entire info board area dedicated to the 1983 ncaa final four
Back when they didn't insist on placing every Final Four in football stadiums.
The Big 12 has 14 teams this year! Do a stadium ranking of them please!!
It's gonna be interesting to see if that conference survives after Oklahoma and Texas leave.
The Smith spectrum has the orange, yellow and brown sears to look like Cache valley, (home of Utah State) in the fall.
A video about stadiums in Oran would be cool
The pit is a top 5 stadium in the country
Thomas & Mack Center is hosting the NBA Summer League, along with the adjacent Cox Pavilion.
"Viejas" can be translated from Spanish as "old ladies". Does it mean that if you're a male and/or below the age of 60 you cannot enter the arena?
hawaii should be in this conference as a full member
If you want to see a blue court, checkout Cal-State Bakersfield, they play on one
please continue doinc college hockey, you should do the nchc confrence because they just got a new team in arizona state
can you do the west coast conference (wcc) arenas
High standard of arena in fhis conference! Some cool gyms for sure
Road to 100k!
Also 100k subs 👀
Small error it 2000 m above sea level not 200 for Wyoming
Very cool Thanks
Save Mart Center go dogs! Love these vids especially when they got my team
What about the American Athletic Conference bball arenas?
gotta love fresno state arena
Congratulations on 100k subs.
The MWC runs through Viejas. I have season tickets and I’ve been to some games where I thought the roof was gonna blow off. There is not a bad seat in the entire arena because of. The design and NCAA likes the venue so much they actually lowered the required capacity of arenas so we could host sub-regionals.
Nevada just announced a new stadium is on its way near the airport off campus
The stadiums of libya please ❤❤❤
God those utah state seats look every second of 1970. Bet they have 53 years of farts in them
ExtraMile Arena formerly Taco Bell Arena in Boise is my fav, even without a blue court.
Quirino Province Inter-barangay Basketball League arenas please
@TheWideWorldofStadiums New Video idea, Top 15 college American football stadiums.
Mountain Best
Memphis does have a blue court. And it does look like crap.
the pit 👌🏽
The Pit does have chair backs on the eastern side of the arena and in the balcony. It used to hold 18,000 and was the absolute loudest, most intense place to play until a series of greedy carpetbagging athletic directors with no sense of tradition moved the student section to the end zone and sold the seats close to the court to old people with $$$ who sit on their hands the whole game. The large crowds made up of regular folks stopped coming, the team got crappy and they had to reduce the seating. Then those ADs retired and put their fat asses on a beach somewhere while the locals had to live with their mess.
Held 18018 before the renovation. They took seats out to make a bigger less crowded upper concourse. The Pit is still the loudest arena (high decibel) in the MW Conference.
Let's go mountain west 😊
#BasketballCraziness!
The PIT 😤
U! N! L! V! U-N-L-V, go, fight win
would be cool to see the running rebs return to prominence and draw huge crowds to the thomas and mack again
Everyone's a lobo!!!!!! Woof woof woof
100k🥳
Hilarious talking about a blue court. Have you done American Athletic Conference Basketball Arenas yet because Memphis at one point and still might play on a blue court
SpongeBob square pants
Tyler Mac we are the west
Day 2 of asking for NPL Victoria
What happened to Hawaii
Woooo another wide world of stadiums video 🔥
