Everyone wants to go out and find treasure. Who wouldn't? Some days are better than others. From all the junk you find, you can tell that you put in a lot of hours for your hobby. Time that is spent away from your family and to see that there are days that you just find junk makes these videos even better. :)
I didn't understand the excitement surrounding digging coins until I started watching this channel and the half dime is just another example of what I was missing out on my entire first year digging. That thing was in amazing shape.
Omg I want a Hoover Boys shirt! 😃. And that half dime.....absolutely gorgeous. I would FREAK if I found that. I had to purchase all mine. Lol. Finding something is completely different than buying it. I get excited over finding clad coinage. 😄
Great half dime Kurt! Every Wednesday I come home after driving 700 miles (I'm a truck driver) and your videos help me un-wind. Thanks for all you do!!!
Great episode and very educational! This episode shows that in relic hunting not all days are great days. We are all adrenaline junkies looking for the next great thing to pop up. Congrats on the Capped Bust! That is sweet!
i would give all my half dollars up to dig a cape bust just one time lol. Congrats Kurt my brother. Great finds to all you brothers. Loved the video As always. You all are the best im glad i got to meet Bob, Leo, Bill this year and i always love to see Kurt & Brad. Miss you all.
Beautiful 1953 S Silver Washington Quarter and nice Matron Head Large Cent for Brad😃 Very cool WWII German Pin but the FREAK OUT TIME😲 ...goes to your AWESOME FIRST YEAR ISSUE CAPPED BUST HALF DIME 😲🙌🙌🙌 Big Congrats Kurt..just AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL. Happy Hunting My Friend 🙋
Thanks for letting us see that you guys are mortal humans and don't find amazing treasure every hunt. It's great to know your videos are coming each week. We all know the work that goes into that. Thanks a bunch!
What a sweet looking half dime!!!! May have not been a lot of good stuff that day to make a full vid but one coin sure can do a lot to make a great day!! Congrats! Take care Kurt and GL&HH
Beautiful Capped Bust half dime Kurt! Great vid, a lot of fun as always! Playing catch up, got behind on YT over the Holidays! HH and thanks for sharing...
Nice finds. Kurt, your right about it never getting old. It's like being a kid again on Christmas morning, wondering what the next present will be. You never know what you will get next. Keep up the killer finds. H/H.
I dont mind the video dumps at all. It shows the real side to metal detecting and also sort of explains why we get so excited to find a sweet coin/relic.
great video thanks ,,, it must make you feel great to think that such a young person looks up to you for something you do for fun,,, hopefully your son and daughter grow up with the same thoughts
Four ring bullets are post war. I can't believe you found another one of those half dimes!! Awesome fork, pretty sure its silver the marks would help but I can't read them. That horse was hilarious! Great job, keep @ it and HH !!
Awesome half dime. Another great video. Glad you like the fork I sent. I picked up a hand full of flat ware at a thrift store and that bad boy was in there, I talked with Brad about it and he ran the marks and says it should be .800 silver. After looking closer at it I noticed your name on it. I couldn't keep. So I had to send it your way. HH and looking forward to next week.
Thank you for the story behind it. I absolutely love it! When I saw my name on it I did a double take. Looks like she has some nice age on it too. Awesome gift. Thank you! Best of luck
Awesome as always....Beautiful Half Dime.....over the years I have bought a few of those, and NONE is in that good a shape! Great video as always....Thanks for sharing! Good luck on your next one!!
Great job guys. You guys always have a great time no matter what the outcome. Love that. You're probably lucky that the horse had its mouth covered, otherwise he probably would've nibbled on Hoover. Thanks Kurt.
That half dime is phenomenal!! It was a good idea doing a video dump, people who don't detect or are frustrated with the hobby can sorta see that it's not always a "good" day. Thanks for sharing and stay safe. HH
Awesome video man. I had to watch twice. The half dime was SWEET. All the random clips were great. I never said this to anyone, but Nice Dump. LOL. Good luck to you and the gang. Mike
What a beautiful coin that 5c piece and what a condition........, congrats! Must have hurt Brad a bit...taking a school yard over that, haha ;) GL & HH Lars

Wow! Nice early half dime and to boot it's your oldest US silver. Awesome score!!! I just recently dug my oldest silver coin but it's not American. I enjoyed the video as always. GL and HH
I just ordered my first metal detector yesterday, and I can't wait until it gets here--probably this coming Monday. I can't wait to get started with it.
Thanks, I am really super excited. And watching metal detecting videos actually feels different now that I have my own machine on its way. I cannot explain exactly why it feels different...but maybe it has something to do with the fact that I will soon actually be a beginning metal detector instead of just a spectator.
A few tips. Location is everything. Don't let the trash discourage you. It's part of the game. We all dig tons of it. Talk yourself into digging signals not out of digging. The more signals you investigate the more chances you give yourself to finds something great. It will take some time to learn your machine. Watch plenty of videos on your model to jump start the learning curve. When you get it. Put some targets on the ground. Beep over them. Look and listen to what the machine tells you. You get better the more and more you go digging. Learn how to cut a neat plug. Practice in your own yard first. Leave a place as nice as you found it. Never leave trash behind. Most important have fun! That's what it's all about. Best of luck
I have been watching tons of videos for months, for the exact purpose you mentioned above..to give myself a jump start on my learning curve. But, I know that I will have to also get to know my machine and practice listening to the different sounds it makes when it encounters different metals. I plan to do my first practicing in the yard where I am staying, and do some experimenting. That is a good idea about putting down some different coins and listening to the different tones it makes. Thanks for your response. This is one of the main reasons why I greatly prefer the internet over network TV, and no longer even watch TV. Internet is an interactive community, and TV is too one sided
Yes Kurt i enjoyed your video. Congrats for the capped bust half dime. I also like the CW carpet bag piece dug by Bob and the Taft key. Funny to watch the pony kick Hoover, hopefully he is safe...Hahaha. Great package time specialy with the signed Hoover boys tee-shirt ( i am not sure but i think to have read in USA Today article than the first Hoover factory was built in Ohio. All the best.
Fun video. The ironic part is you got your oldest US silver the same day I got mine. However you beat me by one year and I beat you in size. You got an 1829 half dime and I got an 1830 Capped Bust dime. How cool is that? Going to try to eyeball my permission this weekend but last weekend it was still bean-y. Going to hit somewhere to try out my new Hoover-licious Cors Cannon coil. Keep going and we'll get together very soon.
kurt i was wondering if you ever thought of getting a piece of oak or hickory and making a little wood shovel or chisel to help you safely dig out some of you finds.it would keep from scratching the metal.
Hey Kurt, love your vids! You guys sure have a lot of fun and dig some really cool stuff! You really have some history over there! Myself I've just taken up this hobby and loving it, digging lots of ringpulls atm, hence the name, but getting some coins to. I'm over the pond, in Australia, we don't get old coins like you guys do, but I love the mystery of each hole! Never know what your going to get. Keep up the good work, say Gidday to all the guys for me. Cheers!!
That was not very nice of Frederica, kickin' Hoover like that. Great video dump Kurt. That was awesome of Mass Hogger. Sweet 1/2 dime too. LFOD & Eat Your Lunch
Kurt, that half dime is in amazing condition, my favorite coin is the cap bust half , haven't found any but purchased a few. By the way, what did that half dime ring up as ( number ) thanks...
Another amazing find! Congrats on the Capped Bust!! Earlier this year I found a 1855 Seated Half Dime, but unfortunately it was as smooth as Brad's butt after a waxing. GL & HH.
Everyone wants to go out and find treasure. Who wouldn't? Some days are better than others. From all the junk you find, you can tell that you put in a lot of hours for your hobby. Time that is spent away from your family and to see that there are days that you just find junk makes these videos even better. :)

Omg I want a Hoover Boys shirt! 😃. And that half dime.....absolutely gorgeous. I would FREAK if I found that. I had to purchase all mine. Lol. Finding something is completely different than buying it. I get excited over finding clad coinage. 😄
