Nice! lol. Exactly what I thought this summer when out cutting and splitting wood: " Well, at least it's screaming hot and muggy- that makes it SO much more fun!!" I just LOVE being out in the clearing, with the sun boiling my brains, while working hard.
Where I'm at, it's White Ash trees that are found dead standing in abundance. Whole groves of dozens of them between 8-14" or so at the base. Strait and tall with little brush. All courtesy of that goddamned beetle... Most of it is seasoned and ready to burn as soon as it's cut- and dried rock hard. Rough on a chain, but great firewood! And free!!!***

Pretty nice ATV trailer, nice for weaving around crowded trees. Bow bar w/thumb would be just the ticket for cuttin up that small stuff.
Thanks Dan. My neighbor gave me the trailer a few years back. It's the perfect size for the 4 wheeler.
My son Evan was out bowhunting tonight. Love the look of your woods. We unfortunately in Illinois have woods that have been taken over by bush honeysuckle. Great for deer to hide in🤣 Looks like y’all are set up with heat for the season. Good luck fellas👊🏻
Thanks Todd. We have a lot of fairly mature timber on our property. Not too much under brush. Not many deer either 😆😆

Here's a question for you: as you load up this shed with split wood, the driest and oldest pieces will always be in the rear - the first ones to be loaded. Once the entire shed is filled to the rafters, how does one ever get to the really seasoned wood in the back without removing the first several layers from the front - unless you have a rear entrance to the shed?
Ay some point we will have to rotate stock so to speak. We haven't burned a whole shed in a season yet. The back row was green last year that's why I didn't move it to the front this year. Thanks for watching
You're gonna stay warm at deer camp. Just slightly too warm for me to be splitting wood. Won't be long before camp
