You Yooper start fires by rubbing sticks together don’t you , are them UP sneakers ? Love the camp and need to make a trip one of these years. Plus we spent a couple $$ at Chuck’s watching the Lions game Great video as always
@CharleyThePlumber Thanks Charley. And yes you need to stop by during the season!!!
Got a 500XPG. If you ever get another consider the G. The heated grips are nice!
@@katesback My next new saw will definitely have heated grips!
Mine is so slow

A couple of nice bucks! Weather was just too mild for everyone to get one! LOL!
@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors How did you do?
Yes sir couple on the pole👍👍 looks like a good time was had. Yes snow makes a big difference we had are share of it. Closed camp up this morning.
@whitetailwarriorsdeercamp88 We didn't get snow until the very end of season. Time to get the muzzle loader out!
Having camp so close to home has to be nice. I would take the 5 minute walk daily to take a nice hot shower.
@@User-nx7rs It definitely has its advantages.
@Lifeinthe906 get the mail, greet the dog, shower change clothes and go back.
Really enjoyed the video Mike! Congrats to your camp on two nice bucks. When someone scores in camp the whole camp scores! After seeing your food I realized I forgot the Cheez its this year. Love venison sausage and Cheez its! Happy Holidays! Looking forward to part two!
@markpro96 Thanks Mark.Hope your Wisconsin firearm season went well. Looking forward to the video.
Small trees. Just put your shoulder on the tree and squat...
@Plizi Yep that works!
Love watching your deer camp videos. Always a good time when you go! Thanks for sharing Mike.

Jeez, you guys get enough salad? It's supposed to be deer camp not weight watchers. Splurge on some snack foods next year, eh? 😅
@NinePillar Yeah we definitely need more junk food. Always pack on a few lbs at deer camp!!
300 bux of food? not as much as 4 yrs ago? Thanks Brandon!!

Thanks Mike. I am working on building a bear/bow deer camp. Getting too old to be hunting by myself and most of my buddies don't hunt anymore. But say they worry when I go solo bear hunting.
@@eliinthewolverinestate6729 That sounds awesome. I'll hunt until I physically can't get to the woods anymore. Thanks for watching

Thanks for the detailed video. I just got a 550 XP and I consider ripping logs (of walnut which is rather hard wood) with a 24" bar and chain. Did you try it yet ? I saw a video about that with a ported saw and muffler modification but I'm reluctant to do that.
@jgandiol I have not tried ripping logs with it. We have a sawmill so ripping logs is not something I would need to do.
Im way late seeing this, but opening day is today througha sunday and another weekend in Dec 3-5. Nice zhob with the firewood!
