Been away for a year, missed the news, saw your comment, read the articles, broke down crying. There is no overstating the impact he had on me coming out of highschool.
Leeroy Jenkins Totally. Especially the sudden movements and constant smiling. With the description and the artwork, anytime he's in a serious situation you just feel like he might suddenly snap (which i hope at some point he does).
surely you know geoff played in the first rollplay show and has been a near constant regular of at least one show on rollplay since then right? he only played once on west marches because he was still playing swan song every week.
All these people are amazing. Geoff's freakshow act to Zeke's art-admiring brute to Anne's suspicious druggie to Wheat's Piani I mean Phrix I mean Bonbon I mean... right, Cattaby.
I cant wait for the inevitable moment Firm asks someone to shake his hand and a person slaps it away. I can imagine the eye twitching that will occur followed by the sounds of slicing and breaking.
This was amazing, so hype for this show! Incontrol is a pretty damn awsome RPer & OMFG Zeke that was amazing! Think this might be my favorite show so far. This 4 man group will be epic!
it's really hard for me to read this dark writing on dark overlay. the overlay itself is really cool but i think it would be better if the writing was a slightly lighter color.
Wow. i'm actually blown away by Zeke's accent. he really nails it imo. (not saying it's realistic, but it's entertaining!) Also i enjoy seeing Geoff playing a character at least slightly different from his usual, though the core still shines through. :D Big Thanks to the cast! Especially John for writing Blades and DMing this.
pretty sure Wheats character is just alternate universe piani.. actually at this point I'm pretty sure every one of Wheats characters is this an alternate universe version of piani
En Taro Incontrol. Was looking for blades in the dark actual plays and someone recommended this series to me. Wasn't expecting to see him off of that link.
PART TWO? I love this show already. I am not sure why, but I am definitely connecting with this RollPlay more than the others I watched the intros for.
I've been watching Swan Song and at first, I was unsure of Geoff. He sometimes seemed like a bit of a dick. But after watching weeks of it and seeing him on other RP shows, I've changed my opinion completely. He now seems like a pretty dope guy and his chemistry with djWHEAT is top notch.
Yeah. It also has to do with personal growth. Geoff used to be kind of a difficult player, back in the original RollPlay. But if you look at his characters like Mr S, Alphariusand Carriless, you can tell that he's made a concious effert to change that. And it really shows too! Especially if you look at the reception he gets from most people these days. I really respect him for it. Plus it's kind of awesome to see him finally properly break his stoick warrior routine. He did something similar with Speck Person the III. But he molded the concept, so that it fits the setting and theme of the current show. And it turned out so goooood!
Wow. this is really a good start. Was really dissapointed by the dogs in the vinyard oneshot. But Ezekiel and Geoff really acted as a good kickstarter for this show.
anyone else think it was a lost opportunity for carriless' last lame to be some sort of permutation or similar sounding word to whisper... maybe esper?
HiGenome Gamer Oh, well that's kinda funny. I read through the comments before I posted to make sure I didn't double joke. Still, thanks for letting me in on the overall joke in twitch chat. :)
In 2021, after the release of Resident Evil: Village, Vana's "you see that she is the tallest woman that you've ever seen" had a pretty specific image in my mind.
I'm seeing a lot of people talking about how much they love Geoff in the comments which is nice cause I just came off watching Swan Song and seeing everybody talking about how much they hate him.
Wheat didn't mention Phrix Pilgrim when he talked about which characters he perviously played! How could you Wheat?! Have you too forsaken RollPlay Dark Heresy?! Isn't it enough that I've been waiting for years for the next episode? That JP constantly torments us with callous remarks? Now you too have abondaond- Nay, BETRAYED such a major part of RolePlay history?! I bite my thumb at thee! May your fields be salted and your lambs be born two headed!
djWHEAT Hey dude it's all good! I was beeing intentionally overdramtic in hopes of beeing funny. I'd never use "may your fields be salted" if I was in anyway serious. I realize stuff like sarcasm and tone aren't always appearant when they're in writing. So I apologize if I was beeing an arse (I'm really flusteredbecause of it D:). It's a show that happend like 2-3 years ago and only ran for 10 Episodes. The relevance next to Piani Pick doesn't even compare. It's more than understandable that you don't list everyone!
RIP Geoff. So glad we have this archive of your gifts. So many smiles and laughs in this. Thank you.
Cant wait to re-watch this show for the holidays.
@@NoInfoAvail Re-watching during the quarantine
Wait wut happened?
Been away for a year, missed the news, saw your comment, read the articles, broke down crying. There is no overstating the impact he had on me coming out of highschool.
So I havent known this that Geoff have passed away but was that the reason the game ended I didnt know
Fuckin hell, I absolutely love Geoff's character.
watchthis8O I get the "twisted circus ringleader" vibe from him
Leeroy Jenkins Totally. Especially the sudden movements and constant smiling. With the description and the artwork, anytime he's in a serious situation you just feel like he might suddenly snap (which i hope at some point he does).
Geoff has become a GREAT rollplayer, I remember when he started in West Marches and rollplaying and compared to now he is far superior.
surely you know geoff played in the first rollplay show and has been a near constant regular of at least one show on rollplay since then right? he only played once on west marches because he was still playing swan song every week.
Malekariel Yeah I meant whatever the first RP show with neil was, I forgot its name already.
All these people are amazing. Geoff's freakshow act to Zeke's art-admiring brute to Anne's suspicious druggie to Wheat's Piani I mean Phrix I mean Bonbon I mean... right, Cattaby.
Man I miss Geoff so much. He definitely filled a spot in my heart that I didn't know I needed, and now it just feels void. RIP dude
I am just loving Geoffs character it is positively amazing
his character would be an amazing villain in a movie
Geoffs Characters are mostly awesome. He is just such a good Roleplayer. I love his playstyle.
I keep coming back to this. I love it so much.
RIP Geoff 💚
That was the best start to a game on Rollplay that I've seen, and that's saying a lot. Props to all the players and the GM.
Just restarted the series cause I missed it.
Miss you Geoff. You're the best.
GEOFF HYPE! I haven't watched Rollplay regularly in a year but I might just start with this, the GM and cast are awesome.
I cant wait for the inevitable moment Firm asks someone to shake his hand and a person slaps it away.
I can imagine the eye twitching that will occur followed by the sounds of slicing and breaking.
This is one of the best first hours of any show you guys have ever done. I absolutely love it!
Zeek is a fucking legend.
This was amazing, so hype for this show!
Incontrol is a pretty damn awsome RPer & OMFG Zeke that was amazing! Think this might be my favorite show so far.
This 4 man group will be epic!
Wow, these characters are all so good!
This is fantastic....great cast, characters and setting!
Blades is so great, nice to see it here getting more exposure. You're the man John!
I can already tell this RP will be one of my favorites!
Great players and character. I'm so excited to watch this story unfold.
I've just gotten to the introduction of Zeke's character. This is the best Rollplay show since Swan Song.
Full on charismatic Geoff is a sight to behold. Looking forward to more, this is awesome!
Yessss, the Wheat Iriscottispeechimpenglish accent returns once more. I've missed it and the mirth it brings me.
Starting this really late but that Geoff and Anne opening was brilliant!
it's really hard for me to read this dark writing on dark overlay. the overlay itself is really cool but i think it would be better if the writing was a slightly lighter color.
The boys are back in town, the boys are baaaaacccckkkk
Wow, what a great start to a series. Probably takes #1 for me right now in Rollplay.
I can already tell I'm going to love this series...
Carriless scares the fuck out of me
...this is going to be AWESOME! :O
Wow. i'm actually blown away by Zeke's accent. he really nails it imo. (not saying it's realistic, but it's entertaining!)

Big Thanks to the cast! Especially John for writing Blades and DMing this.
DJ Wheat, Anne, Zeke and InControl? This is gonna be good.
Goddamn, Anne's hair game is on point.
mankilaba Anne is on point lol
soo geoff is putting together The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, i like it
Candlelight with Cookies, the Ezekiel story.
wheats Irish accent takes me back lol and I'm loving geoffs character
Ezekiel will forever be my favorite roleplayer.
pretty sure Wheats character is just alternate universe piani.. actually at this point I'm pretty sure every one of Wheats characters is this an alternate universe version of piani
It all ties together in the end O.o, the explosion the multiverses everything....
Don't know how Piani could get so fat in Dark Heresy.
I'm glad we're finally getting someone other than Adam as the GM.
En Taro Incontrol. Was looking for blades in the dark actual plays and someone recommended this series to me. Wasn't expecting to see him off of that link.
geoff is so good at roleplaying. he is also good at carrying others who suck.
This Show is going to be Amazing! Love you guys so much thank you, and thank you John Harper for making such a great game!
PART TWO?

Adustlandfaerytale dude, you should check out Geoff on the original series and solum. He's the strongest RPer of the group in those.
And that one scene where Mr. S dismantled that entire space ship full of goons was the coolest goddamned thing in the world.
So excited to see John Harper GMing something.
Amazing first episode, can't wait for the rest!
Incontrols characters are always *SO* good.
Best Rollplay show yet.
Man why does Geoff make such awesome characters? Super excited for the next episode already.
Rewatching this series makes me tear up. Hard to believe Geoff isn’t coming back. RIP
This first hour has been fucking amazing.
Aldo's voice is spot-on.
I lost it when Geoff said he truffle shuffled over to Wheat, awesome.
Blades in the Dark finally on Itmejp!!!!!!!
shame on wheat for not mentioning mirrorshades
*in his intro
joel gillette
AND Phrix Pilgrim from Dark Heresy!
was looking for this comment, have a cookie and a thumbs up :)
Shame on Geoff for not mentioning the original series, Warhammer, and solum
You killed that first scene Zeke!
I love aldo so fucking much
Zeke's character accent reminds me of Tom Hardy's character on Peaky Blinders
Finally a Blades in the Dark RollPlay! Holy crap! I got to play Blades at GenCon and it was just about the most fun I had all weekend
I get a delicious Daniel Day-Lewis "Gangs of New York" vibe from Carriless Firm
Oh shit we even got outro music! Well, this is off to a great start, will definitely be watching more!
ive been hype for blades for a while now but after watching the dogs in the vineyard oneshot im even more anxious!!!!
Getting a huge dishonored feel from this and it's awesome!
Oh my god, I don't know why but Zeke's character is like Arthur from Peaky Blinders, awesome.
Zekes character is totally Tom Hardy
Totally Tom Hardy from Peaky Blinders!
/Bronson
I keep seeing vinnie jones when he talk's, easy my fav character on the show too
I thought he's Hendricks, like the Johnny Marcone's bodyguard.
Or Ray Winstone
Carriless is like a salesman when he talks.
Wow. this is really a good start. Was really dissapointed by the dogs in the vinyard oneshot. But Ezekiel and Geoff really acted as a good kickstarter for this show.
I've thought I loved Incontrol's character. But then Zeke's character just blew my expectations :P
I love the fact that there’s more insistent he wants a shake hand the more reluctant he gets
It is a rare fan creation that gets me to buy the product - this is one of them.
carriless knocks it fucking out of the park
Carriless reminds me of Hisoka.
This entire team reminds me of the phantom troupe dawg, so bueno.
Carriless Firm, the Willy Wonka of murder.
Ok John... I've caught up on Bloodletters.. Ready for this next window into the world of blades... Here we go!!!
I can't wait for Carriless Firm to poison and kill everyone else at the end of this series, we all know that's coming and it will be epic.
30 mintues in, already the best Jeff character yet :D
We an'it going to jail transcends all shows
I clicked the Patreon link, but I am unable to sign up to support you. I am really interested in the Session 0 for this.
oh my god, jeff is hilariously creepy and akward. This is gonna be gud.
I'm looking forward to the clash of accents.
anyone else think it was a lost opportunity for carriless' last lame to be some sort of permutation or similar sounding word to whisper... maybe esper?
great start
Starting out the RP with Creepy.
Fuckin loving it so far.
Is this just the story of Piani's life before her time on the SwanSong came about
Aldo is totally giving me Captain Boomerang vibes
does anyone else love geoffs comedy as much as i do?
really cool character art & shirt!
10/10 for the overlay
A meeting of monsters? A-- monster mash?
Trust me, that was spammed during the stream to hell and back. :)
HiGenome Gamer Oh, well that's kinda funny. I read through the comments before I posted to make sure I didn't double joke. Still, thanks for letting me in on the overall joke in twitch chat. :)
I love Geoff roleplaying as a Dixon Ticorosi #2 pencil
"I come from a distant place" You mean a land down under?
In 2021, after the release of Resident Evil: Village, Vana's "you see that she is the tallest woman that you've ever seen" had a pretty specific image in my mind.
I get some Leonardo DiCaprio vibes (from Catch Me If You Can, any other movie where he is somewhat of a bad Guy) from Geoffs character
Why ís Davos Seaworth GM'ing? XD
I thought we were being joined by DM Tim Curry
Cannot unsee.......
Tom Archer not enough English flair but I would watch a real DnD show with him as a DM anyday
Panzer_Z His actor is actually Irish, from Dublin, and has a strong North Dublin accent 😊
Well Geoff I love your character that was fuckin great and awesome in every way
I'm seeing a lot of people talking about how much they love Geoff in the comments which is nice cause I just came off watching Swan Song and seeing everybody talking about how much they hate him.
Zeke's character looks like a darkside version of Dr Jonas Venture.
How do they get their rolls to look like that in roll20?
Oh shit, this isn't a One Shot! Oh that's cool.
Wheat didn't mention Phrix Pilgrim when he talked about which characters he perviously played!
How could you Wheat?! Have you too forsaken RollPlay Dark Heresy?!
Isn't it enough that I've been waiting for years for the next episode? That JP constantly torments us with callous remarks?

wow thats some fabulous roleplaying
so Zeke is playing Wilson Fisk?
Is it just me or is zeke role playing Tom Hardys character from peaky blinders? 😁😁
