    I totally agree with you. Use the price difference towards subwoofer and rear channel speakers, instead of trying to get it all out of one box.
    I've ended up with HT-A5000 with the SW5 subwoofer and new Sony SA-RS5 Dolby Atmos rear speakers.
    That set-up saves you some money and creates a truly immersive sound with up firing speakers in a front and rear with a deep cinematic bass!
    The sound quality with a proper Atmos content is excellent!

    Went with HT-A5000 with the SW5 subwoofer (renewed w/ 90 day return and no visible marks as close as 12”) and new RS5 rear surround speakers versus HT-A7000 new with one other item I did not decide on. $1,900 for all seemed like a good deal. I have had great luck with renewed items so far. No issues versus new.

    I like 5000 more because it’s not glossy at the top. I’m afraid it will reflect movies while I watch….

    I purchased the hta5000 about a month ago as I'm slowly updating my setup. Originally I wanted upgrade my tv first as it's a 10 year old Vizio. The vizio only supports dolby digital plus so I can't speak on the full performance of this sound bar but what I can tell you is wow! Coming from an old pioneer 5.1 system that thing can't hold a candle to the Sony. I'm very impressed. I'd consider my living room to be small but its tied to the kitchen in a kinda open layout so maybe medium. Fills the room nicely. Music from tidal sounds good no distortion. Movies are amazing from very light soft sounding sounds to loud chest pumping bass. No it won't shake your windows but I think the average listener will be surprised that is doesn't come with a dedicated sub. I plan on adding the sw5 soon along with the rs5 rears. It does manage to get my crystal chess board setup to rattle at times and it sits about 12 inches away from the bar. I'd say if you live in an apartment and don't want to disturb your neighbors it's perfect. Lastly, I found this open box at BB for $402 tax included. Had to purchase a $15 remote from Amazon and spend a hour on the phone with Sony trying to get it out of demo mode but well worth it. It has a small dent in the far left bottom corner that is not visible when seated only when physically handling the bar. Worth the steal. Buy this if you have an ear for audio but your wallet is holding you back or you just dont have the space for a full 7.1.4 setup. The tv I'm gonna settle with is the x90l. I was deadset on the a80l when I first sat out looking but the a80l just wasnt cutting it for me in person and the only other tv's I liked was the a95l and the x93l and I kinda liked the x90l. The problem is that they are all next to each other so you can pick them apart. When I picked up this soundbar they only had the x90l on display and again wow! If I didn't know what I was missing I wouldn't miss it and again it never hurts to save a few bucks. It's leap years ahead of my Vizio in terms of picture quality and it supports all of the current audio codecs. I can't wait! A few more weeks of saving and it'll all be mine! I don't see myself going out to the movies anytime soon afterwards. Again, if you can find these products open box I strongly recommend it. I've been buying BB open box for years and never have a problem. Ballin on a budget!

    sony to be released to round out the system

    I just bought a new Sony 65A80J tv. which would you recommend: Sony HTA5000 with SA-SW5 subwoofer or Sono's Arc with Sono's gen 3 subwoofer or Sono's beam gen 2 with Sono's gen 3 subwoofer? I will add rear speakers later once Sony and Sono's comes out with there updated speakers. 50/50 movies and music use.

    • @abtelectronics
      @abtelectronics  2 роки тому +1

      @Sky. Those are all great options! The HTA5000 and SASW5 are going to integrate with the TV the best as far as control goes. That being said, if you already have other Sonos speakers in your home, adding the Arc and the Gen 3 sub would sound amazing as well, and they'd be simple to add to your existing Sonos ecosystem. The Beam gen 2 is great, but the HTA5000 and Arc sound far better and you get those true Atmos effects with their upward firing speakers. If you're still undecided, be sure to contact our experts here: www.abt.com/help/contact-us We're always happy to help. Thanks for watching!

    I went for the A7000 with the Premium Sub and Surrounds which gives my living room come alive watching movies with car chases with guns firing and helicopters xD
    I watched San Andreas and the rumble when the earthquakes shook and the sounds or cracking windows and debris was insane :D
    It’s a much better soundbar than the Samsung Q960A I had a few months before returning it and getting the Sony

    • @NS416
      @NS416 2 роки тому

      I had the SW3 before returning it for the SW5. It’s okay, if your in a small room it’ll get the job done. It’s just really underwhelming for its price. I would personally save money, and not get the SW3. Unless you really want bass.

    • @abtelectronics

    I’m trying to decide if it’s better for me to buy the 5000 and used the money saved to get the top surrounds and sub. I don’t need a large soundstage since I almost always watch movies alone or just GF and my room is medium sized.
    Btw this is only happening because I’m returning the Samsung 990b due to the horrendous connection issues with its surround speakers.. it’s absolutely outrageous Samsung would put out a faulty product like that with their flagship. It’s also too bad because the sound system sounded amazing WHEN working properly… buyers beware , the drop out issues aren’t just internet hype, mine cut out every 20 minutes at times. I also went through great pains to get rid of any possible interference in my movie room…

      The only change I would make is I would get the surround speakers rather than the subwoofer because the soundbar itself does produce a reasonable amount of bass and having surround sound rear speakers gives you a three-dimensional sound as opposed to just coming from the front.

      @jimv1983 Рік тому

      @@petermaz701 I got the A7000 and SW3 sub. I didn't get the surround speakers but I might add them. My couch is right up against the wall so I'm not sure how good the positioning would be.

      @@jimv1983 my sofa is also against the wall in the living room but if you have end tables on the side just place them on the end tables you don’t even have to buy anything to hold them.

    The material they used like a fabric on top of the 7000 firing up speakers 🔊 is kinda fragile if you have kids. If children discover that, it might be a problem and the same for the subwoofer too the big one. that’s the only thing it makes me think 🤔 twice to get it. Now, the 5000 is better built on top.
