    I have the hta7000, I really wanted Bose for their signature sound and to compliment all the rest of the Bose speakers we have in each room, but we went for the ht, and recently found the setting on how to adjust literally every single speaker on the sound bar, rear and even make the sub louder. I fine tuned it probably 20 times and it now sounds even better then Bose or Sonos, I’ve tinker with my friends Sonos. And it the ht7000 is way better. I definitely advise discovering the adjustments for all speaker levels and adjust them all manually for best sound. I’m blown away by this greyed out feature I found 2 years later. I definitely advice also streaming hifi for music but anything below hifi sounds like garbage in general with any system. Don’t buy nice sound systems if you’ll plan to stream low quality audio and not hifi.

    Went to see samsung q990c and sony ht a7000 today . Although q990c was very loud but its sound signature was utter shit. It use to supress voice with background sound. While sony a7000 was very balanced and clear. Almost everywhere site says q990c is best. But i did nt find it to be. Acc to me a7000 was much better than any sound bar i have seen . Only i havent been able to experience to sonos because in my country it is limited to few cities . But a7000 was best compared to q990c and bose 900

      Don't know why everyone says the Q990C is so great... I'm returning it. But I'm worried about going with the A7000 in case it sounds similarly bland at normal (still loud) listening levels. Cranked up, the Q990C sounded better with more punch/excitement, but way too loud for comfort. Is the A7000 more impactful at normal volumes?

      @@sumitchaudhary343 Thanks. The day after I put in my order for the A7000, Samsung released a FW update for the Q990c and it improved the soundbar a lot. I still need to do more side-by-side comparisons to decide which one comes out on top... but now, I'm more happy with the Q990c and leaning towards that. I purchased the SW3 subwoofer along with the A7000. Sony's is also up to volume 44-50 for some reason with me as well.

      I have tested it for 2 today's.
      And there's just no base.
      If you buy a good quality t v, the speakers will be the same as the Samsung Top and Soundbar!
      Lot of people saying it's software update. You have to do.

      But it's not.

    After various views on UA-cam, I sold my amazing Samsung Q950A and bought this one with a Sony SW5. I was sure that sound of the Sony will be really great and unrepetable. But I can't say that this soundbar sounds much better. Noothing special after one week together. I'm still waiting for the SA-RS3S rear speakers and hope to finally get a good picture

      @@GingaBishounen122 Hi mate! I received rear speakers SA-RS3S finally and I can say now that this makes sence. I see now that Sony is a different class. It sounds much more realistic compare to samsung. Subwoofer is more powerfull. WE got now really what I even did not expect from soundbar. And one more important thing - I do not have any idea how they did it, but we can get real picture of 360 sound even if our income content is stereo(we have here alot of good films with such sound - 2.0). This soundbar does it possible and we are again inside of the picture. i made review and you can find it here ua-cam.com/video/c0r1lCW5BMg/v-deo.html. I mod a Sony Facebook group in addition to a general sounbar group and while I'm usually extremely critical of the UA-cam review space I just wanted to say this was a spot on and thorough review.
    As an owner of the exact system on review, I can at least say on a personal level I'm in agreement with everything you've had to say about both the positives and negatives with this system.
    Especially appreciate your advise on holding off for the better surrounds and I've offered the same advice to members. All the components are very good, but I feel the surrounds are definitely the weakest part of the hardware chain.

    • @evaloutionofman
      @evaloutionofman 2 роки тому

      @Infinite Night1 you definitely were not using the right settings or not listening to the whole setup. Was this at a Best Buy or in a normal room meant for cinema watching? This is a far far better overall system than the q950a. I have people in my group that have owned both.

    • @evaloutionofman
      @evaloutionofman 2 роки тому +1

      @Infinite Night1 I just watched Ford vs Ferrari on apple TV (not even my ub420 with losesless ) and one the most impressive parts was how good the dialogue was no matter what other noises were in the background.

    • @evaloutionofman
      @evaloutionofman 2 роки тому +1

      The only big issue with Sony is you have to have the settings right. Even not having auto volume on will tank the sound. They also can't calibrate it in a best buy, it has built in mics that need to bounce and measure the signals on walls and ceilings to adjust the proper volume of the components.

    • @evaloutionofman
      @evaloutionofman 2 роки тому

      Also I love my setup, but you're getting into a dedicated home stereo price range. I'd recommend waiting for the much better rears coming out in a month or two , but you're approaching 3 grand at that point. You can do a lot with that if you don't mind setting it up.

    • @evaloutionofman
      @evaloutionofman 2 роки тому

      I was considering the Ambeo as well. I'm definitely getting the new rears, it's a bit annoying as I already have the original ones... But with what I've already invested I want the best possible setup.
      I'd just keep in mind none of these sound bar setups are going to match a dedicated AV setup(as I'm sure you know) part of the money you're paying is space saving and ease of use.
      I do think overall this is already the best product of it's type you can get(as you said Ambeo just doesn't have the add ons). It can only get better with the new additions you mentioned coming in a couple months

  • @johndoe-vb9sm

    I bought both. The Sony HTA7000 and Sennheiser Ambeo to try back to back for a week. The Sony is good, but not $1400 good. The Sennheiser is clear winner for me and my room. Sennheiser waa waaay more spacious sounding and bass is way better as well. The Sennheiser made the Sony sound like a clock radio, huge difference. I dont understand all the reviews on the Sony HTA7000? Everyone praised it. So I got it.....and promptly returned it and kept the Sennheiser. Anyone else have this experience? All my gear is Atmos ready. So I guess maybe the Sony has to really really on a sub and rears maybe. Not the point for a stand alone bar, which is how I tested. Good info NE, Im still always watching. My 2cents and experience. Thanks yall

      I do realize this yes, but its on sale for$2000 now. Sony is cheaper, but the sound from the Sony is just.....blah. You need to hear it. Only reason I just had to try the Sony to make sure I wasnt making a mistake spending so much on the Ambeo was from all the good reviews of the Sony. Im only sayn its not worth $1400. Im glad I tried both. The Ambeo given its age is just amazing. Hope you can or maybe have the chance to hear either one. Its truly night and day to me. Thanks

    • @davidgodal98
      @davidgodal98 2 роки тому +1

      The Sony will probably go on sale in couple of months, would you say it isn't event worth 1000-1200$ ? Ofcourse i would love to own the ambeo, it's the dream Soundbar but it's just to expensive and kinda limited since it doesn't support rear speaker for future upgrading
      Right now I'm just really in need of a good standalone Soundbar with multiple hdmi inputs, don't you think the Sony would do the trick?

    • @johndoe-vb9sm
      @johndoe-vb9sm 2 роки тому +2

      Yeah.. the Sont will do the trick for sure. And you are right, you can add speakers to it whenever you are ready. That is the biggest downfall of the Ambeo. Can only add a sub to it, albeit any kind you want. If they sale it for a $1000 or so, that would be ok. Im not doing any rears and souly relying on soundbar alone. And from what ive heard given its age is really really good by itself. It does have a tooon of bass for what it is. Im ditching my old 5.1 standalone setup. Its that large sounding. Well if you get the chance to try multiple....please do. It can help you figure it out. I really thought tje Sony was gonna be awesome given all the UA-camr reviews. Nope. The Sony was so off compared to the Ambeo....I started thinking the reviewers were being paid lol. The best Atmos.....bubble I heard from the Sony was during the calibration. Afer that....mah. Ambeo is alot of cash....but that thing bangs on movies. Alot more settinga to adjust sound too compared to Sony. Try both or Bose as well. Dont wanna be stuck with a piece if you know waht I mean. Nice talkn to ya. Good luck!

    Just got it in my possession. Very good for sure! One thing though. I'd wish there was a spec wise (about) identical but only 90 cm (preferably) or at max 100 cm long. 130 cm is a tad on the large side.
    I'd keep an eye out for the SA-RS3 or 5 this Black Friday. So far they haven't dropped locally. The A7000 has (black week, a horrible inflation of black friday) and with price guarantee that's why I pulled the trigger. It was a nobrainer and before risk of getting sold out when friday is near. But the RS3 seems to pop up 2nd hand from time to time so worst case I'll try those but if going for new then I'd prefer the RS5 with upfiring speakers.
    Not sure about the sub. So far I haven't missed it - the bar itself is more than loud enough (for me at least) without sacrifising bass.

    • @michael-4k4000

      If you don’t miss the start sub then you don’t need it. I like a dedicated sub, but for most (not large rooms) you are fine without the sub. I would recommend picking up the Sony SA-RS5 for the surround effects. What tv do u currently have? Have an LG C2 and the stand is very low and any sound bar would block the bottom of the screen a bit! The Dragon would block have my 83” screen lol!

    Sound bars are excellent for easy setup over TV sound. I have heard many and this one and they all sound thin. While my ZVOX 580 does not do surround and such, it sounds much fuller than the Sony, Samsungs, and LG I have heard. PLUS the ZVOX has subout so I can connect my Martin Logan Depth-i Sub which outputs to other smaller subs placed around my family room. These brands will not use sub out because they want to lock you into their subs, the ONLY sound bar I would consider is the AMBIO series dues to having sub out.

The 900 I bought stopped working after only 5 months of use, but it was replaced with a new one in less than a week. The main problem with the 900 is the interference issue that can only be resolved by plugging the bass module directly into the soundbar. Plus there is the fact that Sony and Samsung are light-years past Bose regarding innovations in their products. Bose is content to sit back and rely on their brand recognition to produce sales and in today's market that is not a positive business model. A business has to be the leader in innovation, technology, and quality in order to succeed and Bose is not doing that. The only positive aspect of the 900 is that it is powerful and that is all. Hi Daniel, great job as usual💪. I always thought that ambeo will be my next but now i'm really considering buying A7000. I have a few questions to you about this: 1) the rear speakers will be put on the wall behind me 3 meters and 7 meters from soundbar, you think that bluetooth connection will be stable? 2) Is there no problem with light reflection due to the piano finish at the top? We have now the bonus and the soobwoofer SW5 and the speakers RS5 are 50%. Thanks 😀

When I turn on the soundbar, the subwoofer turns on automatically, but unfortunately, the speakers don't. Do I need to manually turn them on each time, or did I miss a setting? Can someone help, please? How can I make the speakers turn on automatically when I turn on the soundbar?

      If you are seeking spatial effects or wanting to plug directly into the bar go Sony. You’ll want to eventually get the sub. I have a bunch of Sonos products and they sound great but if I were to choose a system just for my dedicated home theater (in the basement) - I would choose Sony over Sonos here. But I would also get the sub at some point. If you really value strong bass and will not be getting here Sony sub then you might want to go with Sonos full setup

I'm struggling to decide. I like to stay with Sony but the reviews on the Samsung are outstanding, even better than the Sony. And I don't know how compatibility will be with the Samsung soundbar.

      I‘ve also an HT-Z9R, including rears and just bought q995gc (German version of q990c) and very disappointed with this. The sound especially voices on normal tv program sounds really bad, like normal tv speaker. You can adjust a little bit via app or with remote control which is not very comfortable like what we known from Sony remote control. Movies with Atmos are great but music is not.
      For my ears the ht-Z9R is still great and is for me much, much better on my ears (also for my wife) than Samsung. Movies with the rears of q990c are better but only a little bit. But bass of the Sony feels warmer.
      I‘ll return the q990c and go with Sony A7000, SW5 and the normal rear RS3 even I think that RS5 will have a better sound but the more than 400,- more expensive. The main reason for me - that apparently the speakers have to be turned on by hand every time (have read this on comments, so maybe I‘m wrong).
      On bottom line the Z9R is still great and I really can’t understand that the q99x is so over rated around the world.

      I've had several soundbars and a surround sound package but it was only when I purchased an budget AVR and a pair of budget stereo speakers that I realised what I had been missing (stereo imaging, thumping base) besides going down this route one can always add to it overtime! subwoofer, surround speakers you could even get height speakers to get the full 'non-virtual' Dolby Atmos experience. Nowadays AVRs are so simple to setup, they even walk you through the process!

    if you have a Bravia XR-77A80K you don't need something like that, it's a shame about the money

    waste of money. you wanna hear good sound go to theatre. because this Atmos will also be legacy in couple of years. you will enjoy the music and sound when you hear them occasionally like in theatre once a month or two. if you listen them every day you will stop liking it in few days

      @@neverenoughtech My old Bravia as center channel paired with Sony BD sounded better. With this system, I had to purchase the SW in order to get equivalent bass. Then, I had to purchase RS to get full surround. For the price, you would be better off buying a separate AV system. I ran it through an RTA with a TELARC disc, and it failed miserably. It's just an overpriced cinema audio package. That's all. 😳
