I’m an Aries rising and moon. My grandmother worried about me when I was young because I didn’t take up for myself. As I’ve grown older, I seem to go overboard with that and can be overbearing. I still grapple with a balance.
Normally I drag far too many books around with me when I travel. When I went to Greece, I forced myself to choose only one book. That book was Liz Greene's "Astrology of Fate." Excellent choice.
Aries Moon here...WHOA! That part about the force that we fight-the force that makes us feel like we aren't allowed to be an individual or independent in some way. 💯 💯 💯

I’m an Aries sun with a cancer moon. Aries North node as well. Though I’ve always been an athlete, I was more passive and people pleasing in many areas of life. However, at age 33 I dated a very Saturnian man and with all the BS and lessons that came from that experience, I’ve really began to step into that fully independent, not being a door mat person who isn’t afraid of confrontation if it means finding balance, fairness and truth within all connections in my life. I’m 35 now and this is really beginning to solidify within my personality

I’m a cancer sun with Aries moon. I find it a tough combination where My ego/identity is at odds with my emotional needs and instincts. How do you find it?

I think the notion of the fallen Saturnian figure against which an Aries acts, develops, and defends, or individuates is so critical! (says the Aries sun with Saturn Rx in her Scorpio 4th house)
I fully understand what you mean. I had an Aries Sun friend with Moon Capricorn, Jupiter rising on Scorpio Ascendant and Mars (Venus, Mercury) in Pisces. Her Father was a vicar, her mother a headmistress. All her life my friend was engaged in rebellion against the intellectual and spiritual authority represented by fallen Saturnian figures like her parents. With her Sun in the 5th house (Placidus) she wanted life to be fun and games and opted out of any professional and social commitment. She was a brilliant astrologer playing around with the planets. She was highly aware of her solipsistic disposition. In retrospect ( our friendship no longer exists) I would say that she had mildly autistic tendencies, which I failed to understand at the time.
Aries ♈️ moon and Rising. I love this view of yours. There is truth to this. I was very shy and timid as a child. Only now coming into my confidence and using my throat chakra well, as I get close to 40.

Traci, I’m an Aries rising too! Also Mars and moon in Aries. I’ve never been good at defending myself or speaking up. Now as I’m older and feel empowered to do so, I feel overbearing and bitchy. I know there’s a balance. 😫
Aries get called out for being selfish yet all the Aries heavy people I know are extremely ride or die loyal. Also goofy and funny. They aren't, however, my first pick for a co-op game like Overcooked.

My Mother was an Aries Asc. My Husband is a Aries Sun and my Niece is a Aries Sun . The Asc. Aries is the worlds Mother I had to share her with every person on the planet that didn’t have a Mother figure in their lives. Everyone called her Mom 👀👈🏻 I was like Hey 😂 she’s my mom btw. She always said that she was afraid of her Mars energy , but she was a Gemini Sun lol they be afraid of their own shadow lol. Then there is my husband and niece the are intense beyond belief the Mars energy often overwhelms them , I see a lot of passive/aggressive behavior it takes a lot for them to reflect on the Hot Anger that they have to learn to control . So as a LEO Sun,Scorpio Asc. With Saturn there I’ve inner practice at disciplining my release of Anger by analyzing my emotions but I can relate to the Mars energy.My Mars is in Pisces in my 5 th house. I get angry when the children have been compromised in any way 5 th house 🤷🏼♀️ I love 💕 the Children Passionately they are so innocent and full of Love 😛 I would hope that all mature adult people take special care over the Children I’m obsessed lmao! @@shantielives I have aries sun parents and my mum used to lead a childrens group in church where we manufactured little things for joy. everyone of the children my age was jealous and wantet that mum and I was ashamed of her sillness sometimes. they called her f´with her first name and she later sometimes blamed me of not being like other children but that in fact it would have been my fault that I named her that like usually because I was never corrected into naming her "mum" when I grew up and she would have referred to get called with her last name. When a classmate told me, she would have liked to have "such a mum". I never understood.
But what I understood was, that my mum was not my mum but everybody elses mum.

Indeed most Aries energy is about self projecting I think it has to do with not having any real self esteem, I think in past lives they may have miss used their Power and self judged therefore becoming disconnected from their source the Soul needed an extra push back into a passion for living hence the drive for service to others in a almost selfish way 😂, my Mother was very playful as well sometimes I was 😊 embarrassed by her adult child both my parents where adult children lol but I need them to lighten up my very serious self. In the end my Mother and I Where the very best of friends. I miss her. Aries people are like the biggest love/hate that you just have to get over 😉

Aries moon with a Libra rising and this entire video is exactly what I’m going through at this moment. A 1981 baby with a Libra stellium as well and I’m always doing what others want for peace. I finally stud up for myself at work and no one likes it. Story of my life. Thank you for this!

You are blessed to work with people (Aries) of higher consciousness. My moon and Jupiter are conjunct my mother’s sun and Saturn in Aries. Some of these deep truths aren’t really misconceptions. They’re the lower expressions of the energy available to us through that sign. I’m certainly not immune to it and having this learning experience with my mother has helped me immensely in recognizing the negative aspects of Aries energy within myself as she expresses this energy through her sun and the other planets she has an Aries which total five. Sun, Mercury, Moon, Venus and Saturn. You probably can’t even imagine the kind of karma we’ve face together.
😆 When I saw the word "fate" I felt the heaviness but when you said "destiny" later, I felt light and springy and an attraction. ✨

Wow, wow, wow. THANK YOU! Lol, I am an Aries with Mars in Aries, my husband is a Cancer Sun. It really hurt when my mother called me selfish as a teenager. I never forgot that and thought that’s what other’s thought about me. I have always wanted to be independent and have found marriage a bit restrictive. My husband’s rising sign is Capricorn and boy does he have rules. I am very generous in so many ways, I may be over compensating at times for my mother’s remarks. But I learned from J. Krishnamurti ‘s teachings to “ make sure your motives are pure”. So I always check myself…why do I do something, is it because I choose to or out of any guilt impressed on me. This is going to be a great series, I am just getting started and am open to whatever prejudices I have about certain signs. You are genius! Brought to tears at the end, thank you.

Love this! As someone with a Mars & Sun dominant chart... this is super informative and has shifted my own perspective about the sign (despite having studied astrology for several years). Looking forward to the next 11 :)
I am an Aries Sun, Mercury and Mars. I really am so excited about this series and specifically appreciative of this video on Aries. As soon as you spoke about our charts showing who we are to become rather than who we were born as, something really clicked for me. As a child, courage and leadership were skills I felt I lacked and I had experienced so much anxiety when it was time to use them. However, it was almost like I would become a natural when it was time to display these qualities. Each time I overcame an obstical that would require these Arian traits, I could feel a significant shift in who I was and my character in life, like I had obtained a power I would be able to continue to nurture. Now, I feel I am much a much more mature Aries. I am a teacher and a coach and have been told I am uniquely natural in my positions, especially since I am still quite young. I had never before thought about the concept of maturing into our chart until this and I can't thank you enough for this perspective. I am excited to see who I continue to grow into. Peace & love! With a Cap moon and Saturn in Aries along with Mercury cazimi, Sun, Venus, and N.Node, I've definitely experienced Saturn's influence and pushed against the traditional, outdated, and patriarchal. Btw- my husband has 4 planets, Sun, and Asc. in Libra. 25 years of mirroring and growing one another; not a calm sea to sail, but a passionate one.

Aries can tend to be dominant (strong personality, non-shrinking violet type), but that isn't synonymous with domineering. Similarly, they are competitive, but generally most competitive with themselves and want to be first. They do represent the first house - of self. And as that first sign, they can be at times self-absorbed. But again, that is not synonymous with selfish. I have found these misperceptions with Aries are quite common. Enjoyed the conversation and looking forward to the series.

Jupiter in Aries conjunct Pisces ascendant. Often “seen” and responded to as being an Aries, which confused the Pisces sense of self,(Scorpio sun). With astrology, self-study and the passage of time I understand this and i differentiate between Mars and Jupiter. Also I refrain from expressing my natural exuberance with strangers who may misinterpret. Many Aries sun people come to me wanting to tussle and Pisces isn’t interested. I appreciate Aries energy though. It’s a great placement for teaching yoga!

My friend has an Aries Sun, conjunct MC, square Mars in Cancer, a Leo rising, and a Moon in the first house in Leo. She also has Mercury, Venus, and Chiron in Aires. She is quite a powerhouse. And yes to the difficulty with authority and strong religious figures in the family (wounding), and yes on the turmoil around learning to rebel and assert. All so true for her. And she has a major discipline in martial arts to boot! Thanks for your insights!

But you were right on the nail for my life’s plot line!!! Distaste and aversion to authority figures after many different traumas with various authority figures (dad and cult organization being two of them lol). And at 27 I’m just now realizing that my spiritual growth and (sobriety) well being DEPEND on my belief and respect of a higher power, and authority in the work place!!

I have been watching my husband face that fallen Saturn in himself lately, it's incredible to hear you describe what I'm seeing!
So helpful! My oldest son has Aries sun (and merc), Aquarius moon, and Taurus rising with Mars conjunct the ascendant. As a cancer rising with an exalted Saturn (and Merc) in Libra, I was initially unsure how best to relate to his little (huge?) fighting spirit. I mean…literally, his favorite activity is imaginative battle play. He’s 6. Not taking his words and actions personally has been so key, though, we do have a lot of convos about respect. Astrology has been so helpful in understanding him better. Even though we are quite different, I never want him to lose his fight for the things that matter to him…but if he could do it respectfully and safely, well…that’d be just great. Was married to an aries. Have a significant brother who was an Aries. The hardest thing for me about the Aries in my life has been that they can't stand my insecurities and yet day in day out with them I'm supposed to deal with theirs with love and generosity. Other than that I find them charming fun engaging adventurous. I love all of that. But them being intolerant of other people's insecurities is unbearable to me.

MC Venus and Jupiter in Aries 9th house. Right on Acyuta! Jupiter in Aries (energy) has to be personally successful/secure before being able to successfully take care of others. If this doesn't happen Jupiter will not reward the native.
South node in Aries in 7th/ 8th (no other planets) and most definitely relate to these challenges as my big life lessons in relationships and in general. Needed to find myself through physical connection to my body. Needed to push away connections that seemed to get in the way.

I know you don't use placidus but in that chart, my Aries is intercepted inside my 12th house and my Mars is in Pisces in the 12th house (exactly Conjunct my north node). I've spent So Much Time contemplating where the hell is my Aries /inner warrior, and this last year I've really begun finding it - it seems to be intertwined and accessed through my Pisces. Like my hero's journey is through the realm of consciousness on behalf of the collective. If that's not what I'm moving towards I have basically no fight in me at all. But when we start talking about healing the collective, something inside me comes alive. Thank you so much for this series, I've enjoyed every episode I've watched so far!
My Aries sun dad was quietly determined, not outwardly assertive at all. My Aries mom a bit more aggressive, but not stereotypically so. Mars in Cancer in first house for me - go figure!

Loved this talk. Well probably because I'm an Aries rising and moon. I can see when I was younger how self centered I seemed but was intent and focused. Very very intent and focused about almost everything! I tend to appear that way at a new job when I am trying to do a good job. It is true. Age has changed me. Tempered me I would say. I never realized how much of my Aries was being expressed through the years because I always saw myself as my sun sign Taurus. It's only in retrospect that I am observing it.

Interesting about magnetic quality between Arians and Cancerians. I have an Aries Sun and my Mars is in Cancer so I liked getting that info about the fall.
You are spot on about a Aries and Cancer being drawn to each other and get along well. Me and my Cancer Ex husband are still extremely connected to each other spiritual and romantically even after a decade gap in communication. We are definitely meant to be together, 30 year friendship.

Thank you, I have had some longtime friends who are Aries, and have a son, Sun-Merc Aries 12th h. They are far from selfish, but some of them have had a hard time, as you say around 16min in-> struggle with finding their Souls way. Fun Creative Soft and Loving is my pic of them, as long as one do not take their sometimes bad jokes too personal ;)
I have a strong Mars-position, can this also be applicable for that too?

I have an Aries moon and I find I feel strongly fast but then also forgive or forget as fast. I have been in love many times and often wonder about people who say they have never been in love. I think this is due to my Aries Moon. Sag and Cancer rising as well. I am surprised to see all the other Aries moons here. I don't feel so strange. Thanks.
Aries rising (Mars home), Mars in tenth house in Capricorn (exalted) at the very top of my chart, Saturn in retro at IC in Cancer (fall) together with Moon... Sun in Aquarius (fall) but again it's the home of Saturn! Could I be more contrasting? :)

I'm an Aries sun in the 9th house, with Mars in cancer in my 12th house...
Could that figure relate to an abusive relationship? Starting around 18 and lasting 10 years. I’m an Aries moon and north node and that’s the person that I picture when you talk about someone putting them down or taking power, but not sure if that would be right since in wasn’t in childhood.
I needed this. I have Aries in empty 12th house with a Libra 6th Stellium with exalted Saturn and Mars in it's detriment. My martian energy is suppressed and invisible to me.
Very useful, given that my Progressed Sun is just about to leave Aries. Also, that all my relatives except my mother are Aries. My mother is Capricorn, and my Aries father, in his old age, has been accusing her of dictatorship. He's just become reckless; but it's true I've also had an impossible relationship with my mother...
I'm looking forward to the other signs!
