- Today I'm continuing a 12-part series on the misconceptions of the Zodiac, with the sign of Pisces. I'm going to be going through all 12 signs and talking about three common misconceptions that people have about the 12 signs, and offer some deeper context and understanding about all the signs of the Zodiac.

Pisces rising. There is this thing in a river called a hydraulic. A hole. Where you keep recycling in the current. Pushed under and as you break the surface the current draws you back ward and under again. (Spin cycle). The only way to self rescue and is to dive as deep as you can vs seeking for the light at the surface, and there at the bottom is a small current “washing out”. This is the softest boundary from the powerful recycling water. The darkest deepest part of the river under that thrashing current. You have to go against the grain to seek light and breath, and dive deep in the hopes of washing out down river
My daughter is a Pisces and as a small child was enthralled with Disney movies and Barney. All through school drawing sketches rather than paying attention in class. Always in a fantasy world with her characters and stories. Today as an adult is an independent artist and making good money with her fantasy world of ideas.
Hey me too, I always was drawing Disney characters or cartoon characters and I am now an independent graphic designer/artist/web designer. 😀 Funny how that works out.

Although paradox is found in all the signs in the zodiac it is my experience that Pisces is the most accepting of it...innately comfortable with an uncomfortable orientation of a double bodied sign. In you is another me...I am both and I understand. The work is to anchor the 'I' within the tension of opposites.
I had a cousin that read tarot. She taught me that Pisceans have two paths to choose. They can choose to swim upstream and fight the current or float downstream and go with the flow. It reminded me of Shaquille. He went with the flow. It’s a personal choice, free will. I am very much a fighter swimming upstream. I would love to flow downstream but I’m not built that way. Not sure if this makes sense. The path I chose is a struggle. It would be much easier to go with the flow. People call me out on how hard my life is. How much easier it would be to let go of my responsibilities. They may see me as a martyr or a saint but it isn’t that. It’s commitment grit and honoring challenges you’ve been given. I’d rather suck it up learn the lessons and float on to the next life or, what if I floated a couple lives away and now I have to make up for lost time to fulfill my lessons. Do I make any sense?
These series was pure gold, thank you so much for them! I learned so much as an astrology student! To add to that, I am also a Pisces sun with both Jupiter and Venus in Pisces(Taurus rising, Capricorn moon) and I have always felt the piscean signature the most - super sensitive, lived in fantasy as a child, strong intuition and creative ways, etc. Despite the two earth signs, I have always had a hard time being in the body and doing earthly things. I have found that I need to be very conscious about taking care of my needs and cleansing energetically - if I don't, I start falling into the shadow side of Pisces - addictive tendencies, escapism. The more I relate to the strength side of it - creativity, meditation, the more it helps me ground and stay within clear boundaries.
Awesome insights... It's so strange, I'm a Sag with Pisces Ascendant: always drawn to darkness, to the invisible, to psychology, archaeology, dreams, cinema, aurora borealis, and all these things are essentially a manifestation of searching or creating Light into the Darkness.
I absolutely looove this time of year when I can sense days getting lighter in all senses and look forward to celebrating another life cycle. Sun in Pisces, Rising Taurus. Yeah, Springtime is near, and that comes with letting go (transformation/ death) leaving behind and making room for the new. 🐞🐬🐛🌷🌺

This was a very informative and profound lecture.I am a double Pisces and it helped me see a little clearer into why I am what I am,if that makes sense.
I always liked the idea, that Pieces as the last sign represents death or the destruction of boundaries. Thank you for the content, made me look at the order of the signs/houses closer.

So as a Sag Sun, Pisces Rising and Virgo Moon….this whole pulling apart, emptying out, filling back up really rings true. This dance of faith and understanding, diving deeper each time.

Sun , Mercury, Venus and Saturn in Pisces. Libra rising. Even as an executive, while doing executive things, my staff and colleagues always said I lived on "my own planet". Learning to love myself for just Being and not for how I can help/contribute/change the world!
I'm a Pisces and the only wisdom I have to add is that, you left out the greatest artistic Pisces genius of all time, by not mentioning The Divine Michelangelo Buonarroti. That's all I want to say. Other than that, I liked the lecture.

My mum is a Pisces and doesn't fit the traditional stereotypes at all, but definitely embodies the duality of light/dark and spiritual seeking you described. It’s all in the way we choose to see,,,, for me,,, Light defines the dark. Yet, we can’t have one without the other.
Thank you for this, POF in Pisces. Cancer sun Scorpio ascendant. Letting things go but also trying not to lose myself at the same time, remembering to trust my intuition. Working thru karma and healing karma, remembering that dark and light is a cycle and everything needs to be integrated.
Thank you for not using dust bin or dumpster in our description. Pisces rising with exalted venus conjunct Chiron. Love Stinks should be my theme song. But I am still hopeful. I guess my best Pisces quality is appreciating the differences in everyone and my worst was boundaries. I said “was” because the last two years have been spent figuring out who and what was receiving too much of my attention and energy. I found them.

WOW love this, I am a Pisces Moon in the 12th. As you were talking about downward/westward towards earth and upwards/eastward toward spirit I remembered a dream I had last night. I was climbing down a cliff towards a great ocean to swim and then I moved back upwards to a great elevator that moved upwards into the sky. I do understand My Pisces nature pretty well Now, but it wasn't always this way...
Growing up, I always thought I was weird and different..
I was well liked in the Younger Years, but I still felt different..
Took to making friends with the Outcasts!
Befriending the New Kid!
Sometimes, I would Challenge them first!
Not in front of the Other Kids, but alone somewhere after School!
Not sure Why I would do that..
When they Would jump up to fight, we'd shuck and jive, and start capping, and Laughing..
N We'd be friends after that...
Other times Kids would be Scared and Cower...
I never pushed it when that happened, I just introduced myself and usually walked them Home...
Just because Someone doesn't want to fight doesn't make them weak..
If pushed into a Corner, it is They Who become the most dangerous!
You never know what they will do...
I never wanted to hurt anyone, it's more like a dance of the Spirit, where You find out what somebody is made of...

This misconceptions series makes my planetary positions in the signs in my birth chart more clear. I'm a Pisces rising with Saturn and Venus in it and Jupiter is in Capricorn. Capricorn and Pisces are dominant in my chart. Both the most 'benific' and most 'malefic' signs by way of exaltation and domicile rulers. Now it makes sense why I'm always on both sides of the extremes 🥲

A Pisces sun square Neptune on the DC pisces moon square Jupiter in my 1st. I often feel that I am the happiest and saddest, contented and divinely discontented person alive...but I would have it no other way because to me, experiencing emotional range is the closest I will get to experiencing God while I'm a human being. I am a Pisces Sun(1st House) and Rising. My Venus is also in Pisces(12th House). Moon in Leo and Mercury in Aries. The struggle is real! Lol
My entire life, I have struggled to stay in the present and mundane. Society feels like a prison, and I long for a life with creative and helpful meaning. My love life can only be described as a series of unfortunate events. My optimism and pessimism are constantly battling for the spotlight, and I am a master at fixing other people's problems just so I can avoid my own. But oddly enough, I end up fixing myself by coming to a multitude of realizations and understanding. I am super empathetic and able to see things from other people's perspectives. And don't even get me started on the roller coaster of emotions that I am working very hard on learning to manage in a more productive way besides bottling things in then randomly bursting into tears. I can't stand letting people see it.
I am about to turn 30, and my Saturn is in Aquarius in my 12th house.

I would say Pisces exaltation of Venus is even more basic as water feeds the Earth of Taurus and the Mind of Libra. the wisdom of Pisces can not be anything less then poetry art and beauty. As nature herself is the master fractal weaver of thought into form, Pisces offers the heavenly thoughts.
It's a 'glamour', all that glitters isn't necessarily gold, 11:44 on the ⏰️, all dichotomies are essentially one, the light needs the dark and vice-versa, the brighter the light the darker its shadow- ♋️ asc., ♓️ 🌞, ♌️ 🌙, all be blessed 🌙💫

I’m extremely creative & empathic. And my business name has the words Healing Arts in it.
It wasn’t really mentioned I don’t think, but I wonder if most Pisces have very vivid imaginations.
This is key to creativity and may be why they get labelled wishy washy or having blurred lines with reality/illusion. I agree we can all struggle with this. Like asking, what is Truth?
I couldn’t help thinking how we have been living in “The Pisces Age” and Jesus and how we are all living the victim/saviour paradigm. He was both victim and saviour dying on the cross of matter. Such a powerful representation of Pisces don’t you think? Was he a Pisces though? He wouldn’t have been if he was born in December 25th. But I often see the symbol of the fish used in Christianity for Jesus?

Haha as someone who has a Pisces stellium in the natal chart (sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Mars and ketu) I most often get mistaken for an Aquarius though but I have only generational planets there
I guess Pisces people are really hard to pin down, I’ve even had people say to me that I do not behave like a “typical” Pisces ( I have a Virgo rising and Mercury in Pisces, and moon in Sagittarius 🙈) I have no idea what they think a typical Pisces should be like … there are many different fishes in the ocean but they are still fish 😂

The reason I wasn't dating the guy I was living with was because 1. He was my ex. And it was complicated 2. It was complicated because i victimized myself and blamed him for the bad timing or whatever excuses i had for not settling for a good man. In reality i knew that he wasnt who i was ment to be with. Two Fish, swimming in opposite directions, Some Say that is instability!
In Reality, it is representing both Yin, and Yang!
They are not swimming around in circles, They are passing Each Other, in a contrasting Pattern..
Actually two circles, one is upside down in one circle, but right side up in the Next!
A pattern not unlike DNA Strands, a sideways figure 8, which is the sign of Unity!
