My father was a Taurus with a scorpio moon. We will never know his rising sign because he was born in Poland in 1922. But, he spent his life creating and building physical structures. He was a true Bull with the biggest balls anyone could imagine. Nothing stopped him. I suppose I should be grateful because this indomitable spirit helped him to survive the holocaust, Yet the scorpio moon meant he could also be very dark and mean and controlling….he loved beauty, art. He stood for what he believed in. But he was an immovable force.
I think another beautiful thing about the simple pleasures and earthy beauty of Taurus is that they are the joys of life that are open to all of mankind. The regularity of the seasons, our five senses, visual beauty, our simple comforts. The opposite being Scorpio, the complex, darker realities of life we all can’t avoid forever. Opposite facets of life that create the vital necessity of each other.
I'm a Taurus Sun and I think a rodeo is a good analogy to understand the undercurrents of this energy. It takes a certain level of audacity to immerse yourself in a battle to assert your will over nature, even if it only lasts a few seconds. But true power isn't in dominance, it's in collaboration. We learn to pick our battles as we get to know ourselves, which helps streamline our focus on what we really want. So, the external appearances of tranquility, steadiness, and simplicity aren't just traits we inherit, they are things we earn.
This was so great... I'm a Taurus Sun with all personal planets in Taurus... simple is the last word I would describe myself or any Sun Taurus person I know... endurance under hard circumstances... and yes, we truly are so much more than meets the eye... most of the time people perceive me so differently, than I perceive myself, not because I try to portray a different version of myself, but because I think no one would truly understand the depth of my feelings and thoughts... being 'simple' on the outside is sometimes the only way people can connect to you... thank you for this!
Persistence is an incredible Taurean trait. My boyfriend has Sun there and his Venus on the anaretic degree. He is the most incredibly persistent person I’ve ever known, so driven. He’s accomplished more at 27 than any other adult I’ve met. Once he sets a goal, he is not letting it go lol 🙂 and yeah, I think “still waters run deep” is so often true of Taurus. Yet their motivation is stability, and that fosters such fortitude and creativity.
Taurus tenth house with Venus at 26° and and the moon at 9°. Peace and Stability in all things is what I seek. But being Aries sun and Leo rising I get bored easily and am quite changeable. I’ve had the same employer for 23 years but have held 7 different positions in that time. I’m comforted by the concept of Taurus moving toward the future achievement of abundance
@@leotheliann7621 I’m also a Leo rising, but with a stellium of the Sun, Mars, Venus and Mercury in my 10th house of Taurus, I can’t but identify as a Torean type of person, especially since the Sun is my chart ruler and it’s in Taurus… so basically all roads lead to my 10th house… I just wish I wasn’t so fixed signed because my life would have been so much easier and I would have embraced change instead of letting them destroy me… but I guess one thing is true about Tauruses, all things come to us, but very slowly, it takes a long time, but they come when the time is right 🙂 just let us do our thing and don’t push us 😉
My son is a Taurus sun, Venus in Taurus...the part that hit home....we always joke in the family, he’s so slow to do everything. Slow does not equal dumb or dim witted...
Taurus moon here and yeah I love luxurious soft comforting items. Faux fur, leather and cotton all over my home. If it doesn’t feel good against my skin, I can’t live with it.🤣
I loved this! I have a taurus sun and I def can relate to the obsessive characteristic, especially when it pertains to goals or views of the future. It doesn't mean I'm not flexible or that it is just one vision, it just means I go towards that which is calling me.
As an air dominant, this really really helped me understand my Taurean mother whose motivations have always been a bit of an enigma to me. Thank you 💕
As a Taurus, this resonates. I’m simple , Earthy, musical, physical and spiritual. I think of my body as an instrument. I don’t really like to talk but a stellium in both Taurus and Gemini in the 11th house I love to love, to learn, study and lovvvvvve Astrology. Love this. Taurus sun and Venus and I feel misunderstood a lot. We love creature comforts because they represent security, which is priority No. 1 for Taurus. but we will work hard for them. And peace represents security -- it's in our interest for things to stay peaceful. Leave war to Mars. And people seem to forget that Taurus is the flip side of Scorpio and is equally intense and control-oriented, just in a different way.
And can I add a fourth thing to your list? The food obsession. Every Taurus meme is about food. lol

You mentioned the Dallas Cowboys. Their helmet decoration is, of course, the 5 pointed star. Taurus corresponds to the Heirophant card in the tarot, which is numbered V.
Peaceful easy feelings are made possible because civilization allows them to be. Great power needs to be expended to convert small groups of humans in the wild into a civilization.
Earth power: earthquakes, volcanoes, enduring mountains.
That was great. I've known several Tauruses that are very experimental-driven characters, like experimental filmmakers and photographers that make bold choices and, if they wish to, stay outside the comfort zone and enjoying their craft, so the idea of "bold imagination" is true.

You made me laugh sooo hard when you summed it up by saying we’ll get “caught up in bull-shit”. (If we try to oversimplify Taurus). I’m a Sag/Taurus /Cap and I’m very risky/experimental with life, but dependable/loyal too. I always thought that it was Scorpio that had the depth/underbelly you describe here so I wondered why I resonated with it so much not having placements there. But now I understand it’s part of Taurus to be in tune too. Also the part about looking towards the future is so true
I want to know if you find Taurus sing. Yep, sing? I know a lot of Taurus and the common theme is singing. Made up songs. Kids songs. Car songs. Shaving song. Dishes song. I see a theme not mentioned.

Thank you for this Acyuta. I'm Taurus Sun, Taurus moon, Venus in Taurus, in 5th house and I never resonated with a lot of the Taurean descriptions. I have been described by a former colleague as fairy floss on a steel pole, sweet but don't cross me. When my son was a teenager he told me I scared men off because I had bigger balls than them 😂 I used to be so much more fixated on things, and definitely tenacious. Age has mellowed me and now I'm an earth loving Mumma, who will stop and smell the roses, and get awed by sunsets and the beauty of nature. I am happy with the simple things in life and I do love cooking good healthy food.

Thanks for clearing this up for all those stereo-typers. Saturn 29.44 Taurus, plus Sun/Moon midpoint and As/Mc midpoint in Taurus. Security, stable, practical. Many Stones of the Earth live in my home. Saturn makes sure I am always employed and can provide for myself and help others.
The middle path could mean not being for or against anything; no judgment; the middle path. Striving for the highest level of acceptance without judgment. This doesn't discount or eliminate having preferences. Center path; moving toward a higher love based level of consciousness. The higher level of consciousness the higher level of acceptance is one way of viewing the middle path. Buddha consciousness, Christ consciousness, Mahanta consciousness just to mention a few. Taurus sun and Mercury in Taurus and to all the stereo types that I hear of Taurus being stubborn…I say thank goodness there is a sign that can hold the line and be stubborn towards the good.
With Mercury in Taurus it is a gift to really contemplate and think before speaking instead of running rough shot over people.
Being methodical and building is so powerful…being stable and reliable os powerful…now when we’re mad - that’s powerful too, BUT when a Taurus is mad - well that person or situation better stand back because it takes quite a bit to really get the bulls horns 😂
I think of Capricorn rising Bono, with a 5th house Taurus Sun opposing an 11th house Scorpio Moon. He has mixed a hyper sexual image with religion and politics, working to build friendships with world leaders in the hopes of bringing lasting change to the world. Also known and named for his unique voice, Bono Vox. Love him or hate him, he's not a simple creature. My own son, a second house Taurus Sun and Mercury owns a construction company, literally building enduring structures for future generations. My 8th house Taurus Moon sister who works in finance and has long been our family's trusted financial advisor. Hillman's essay speaks so beautifully of the complexity of this sign. I'm really enjoying this series.
Taurus sun here, when going though the thick of my Saturn return this winter my saying was " I may not have joy, I may not have happiness but I have Determination! " there was definitely nothing comfortable or luxurious about it ;)
All my friends have Taurus ♉ moon. Very grounded steady calmness. Love of touch, smell, taste, luxury, sight/beauty. Sensual. Hard worker stubborn ideals.

I very much appreciated your telling of the Buddha's path to enlightenment. As a Taurus Sun opposing Pluto in Scorpio, I deeply resonate with Siddhartha or at least the story. I also have my North node in Taurus as well as Mars at 29 degrees. I loved how you described the simple pleasures of life not being simple at all! Because there is such a deep reverence for those seemingly simple moments- it's not actually simple at all. It's quite profound. And getting to know myself has been like this. Thank you 🙏

I personally believe that Taurus is about Simplicity, but not the one you would think of directly.
I‘m a Scorpio Sun and Rising so my Descendant is Taurus, so I learned a lot about myself through that sign.
In the Tarot Taurus is symbolized by the Hierophant card, it‘s kind of the card of the guru. But someone only comes to be a Guru when you realize the complexity of the universe, when you take in all of that. But usually after you do, you end up with quite simple answers. The complexity of it all is quite simple in the end (it‘s truly the Taurus Scorpio opposition axis)
I feel like often times we think that everything is so deep and complex only to find out after a while: oh what the answer to my problem was THAT simple?
Our ego‘s are almost somewhat hurt at how simple the answer is or was that we are overwhelmed by simplicity.
Simplicity in our complex universe is actually a beautiful thing and something very hard to achieve, something that takes a lot of hard determination ironically.
For me Taurus represents that. It represents opposing all the complexity and finding simple truths and ways of doing and saying things, grounding us into earth, to simply just remember where we came from : creation
Wow! I have Venus in Taurus in my 2nd house and this really explains some aspects of my desires and motivation.
Taurus Sun here, as well as my Mercury. I definitely always get the stubbornness aspect from others. I have always felt that it wasn't so much stubbornness as it was having a deep connection with some sort of ideal and then taking action to sort of "fulfill" or come close to that ideal. I'm always open to listening to other people's perspectives, but when I feel a driving force towards something then I have to see it through. I would say this is the biggest way I have been misunderstood with this aspect in my chart. Love your explanation, it resonated so much.
wow, this is really fascinating so far. it is true that I am intensely devoted to my goals, and I don't care how long it takes to achieve them. my goals keep me grounded and focused, so there really is no need to rush toward the finish line because then I'll need new goals. 😅
I am definitely doing a lot of thinking, planning, strategizing, and putting things into place. The little steps along the way are probably even MORE important than the outcome.

I'm amazingly creative and always striving for the ideal, with my feet (hooves) on the ground and my head in the heavens and never miss a chance at sensual pleasure!
Taurus sun with a grand trine in fire. Really enjoyed this. Things I have heard about Taurus is that we are stubborn and selfish. I actually relate to using that internal force of nature on moving toward the future. I have always felt that in my life and have used it often to meet goals.

Wow. As an Aries Sun I loved your last “misconceptions” video and now, as a Taurus Rising- I’m just blown away by this one. I always thought my obsession with an idealistic future vision, expressing it through world building in a TV series concept, was due to my natal Venus opposite Uranus but- look at this! It was in my Rising all along. ❤️ I do love pillows though 😂 and I credit my Taurus energy with my urge to garden and make a cozy home as a part of building a safe and loving foundation for my kids. I am really loving this series. It is super helpful to my understanding of the signs. For some reason I am having difficult understanding the meaning of the signs I think because I have to know the underlying reasons for the descriptives in order for it to sink in. I’m also reading The Astrology of Fate but sometimes I have no idea what they are talking about. Mercury in Pisces sextile Saturn needs it in layman speak in order for me to get it! Ha ha. Saturn inTaurus actually so maybe the simple speak is apropos. So your explanations are most helpful. John Wayne’s characters all had a lot of “balls” to go up against the bad guys. He wanted to take control and bring his version of peace to the community after “bad guys” wreaked havoc. Makes sense. I’m just going to keep to listening to your classes from Year 1 and these videos. It will sink in eventually. You are a genius in many ways. Not sucking up. But this idea of these stereotype videos and the #grabbed idea. Love them! 🙏❤️

I'm a Taurus ♉ I'm so glad you're clearing this up for others. Because I'm not lazy. I'm very ambitious and goal oriented. I often get frustrated when things aren't going the way they should. It's frustrating. And maybe that's where the obsessiveness comes from. I want things to be great. That's where bull headiness comes from, the comfort of it all becomes peaceful for me. Oh, yeah, I am sensual with my partner and not everyone. I like pleasing my partner. 😂❤ Yeah, good is wonderful, I guess. I see beauty in mostly everything in life. ☺️

Thank you for clarifying. I thought it was odd to classify Taurus as simple minded or peaceful due to Medusa (star also) that’s her home and also where Lilith resides. These women do not represent peace but chaos derived from rejection from men actually. If I’m recalling this correctly

I am a Taurus Sun and have always felt a little less than when being compared to other more popularized signs. it often has been said to me that Taurus folks have little drive or imagination or depth...don't really mean much as do some of there other signs. Another misconception I hear a lot is that Taureans are stubborn. But I’m gonna dig my heels in on that one…hahaha, just joking. 😊 I’ve not really heard anyone talk about Taurus having a great imagination before. But I sure do. My Taurus Sun is in the 5th house, so I think I’m doubly imaginative and creative. I can look at almost any image and create a whole story around it. And it’s usually very profound. My creativity is my work and my work is my creativity. I agree with the simplicity aspect to. I think that’s the deep earth connection taureans have with nature. 💚

Love them! Clooney definitely exemplifies that 2nd decan of Taurus, while Janet & Lucas certainly display that 3rd decan of Taurus as well.
My brother, my son, and my boyfriend, are all Tauruses… And they are all the same! They have baby faces , and are very polite and sweet when they need to be, but behind your back, they are telling dirty jokes, they are cussing, they are smoking pot… etc., And you would never know! P. S. People in the Midwest go to rodeos, and have fun, because there is nothing else to do! It’s a highlight of their year! Trust me… I’m from Kansas lol

Gemini Sun, Taurus rising, Cancer moon, here. Yes, I like my comforts and luxuries (many of which do get classified as "simple pleasures"), but there has to be a solid and enduring foundation beneath them. Without it, all those earthly delights feel hollow and unsatisfying, and even provoke anxiety. There have been times when I lived a fairly spartan lifestyle while I was building my foundations, and I was totally fine with that because it fit my vision for the future-buy a house (Cancer moon insisted upon it, LOL), pay it off, and thus have a solid launch pad for imaginative, creative work (that would, ideally, outlive me).
I've been told I'm the most un-Gemini-like Gemini in existence, and I just laugh and say, "That's because I'm really a Taurus," and the response is always, "Oh yeah, that makes total sense!" So thanks for this; it's really illuminated some aspects of Taurus that I had not read about or considered before. Looking forward to Gemini and Cancer!
Interesting to me that it is a feminine energy. My first (and last) close encounter with a bull (which is a male bovine) was terrifying. I was given a piece of long grass to give to him. He was huge and snorting, a giant creature that could crush. So no, not what I see as placid. Very powerful, and very fixed.

The Taurus moon in the sixth house is my only natal earth placement with the south node, with mental illness & ancestral illness in my family, I am thankful to the heavens for a powerful Taurus earth moon that kept me sane, & enabled me to bounce back from times that I may have been on the verge of mental collapse. As you make your way through this series could you please remark on the progression from one sign to the next? Last week you started with Aries which naturally is the beginning of the zodiac. I think you mentioned that Aries was similar to the fool who is starting off his journey (similar to the fool in the Tarot). How would you see the progression from Aires to Taurus in regards to the quest that the child makes from adolescence to maturity, does from Aries on to the end, Pisces. I hope that makes sense.

I don't understand why you haven't made any reference for the fact that Tuarus rules the mouth, lips, tongue and teeth, not to mention the vocal cords and neck...
All these physical attributes play a part in the interpretation of symbols associated with the sign. When we analyse how each one is used as a tool, and infere the psychological imagery it gives rise to, we can then understand the connection between the interpretations given and the symbols that sign is given...
There is a direct connection between the biology of that part of the body and its functions, and the interpretation given to the sign which rules over it.
