Making my WRX LOUD!

  • I switch up my exhaust setup to make my WRX a lot more loud. The AWE track edition cat-back will be much better for driving on track since when I previously had this car on track I could barely hear it. In addition, I am going to get some weight savings and the car is going to be much more rowdy!

Sounds good and looks good too… I’m now an STI owner and I’m definitely learning about the car more thanks to you bro. I have very similar ideas of what I would like to do with mine. Cheers!

Except any exhaust sounds good on an sti. FA20/24 just sounds busted with an exhaust on.

It's funny, I don't really care for the AWE exhausts for the STI, but I think their FA20 exhausts sound really good. It's hard to judge loudness on a UA-cam video, but the tone is just about perfect!

AWE has different designs for their STI and WRX touring editions so that would make sense. The track edition is the same since there is no mufflers so at that point it just comes down to EJ vs FA exhaust notes

My 2020 STI that purchased in January this year had low miles and a muffler delete. I love it and I don't have to do anything. Subies I and a great video brother.

sometimes a simple exhaust is the best answer like a muffler delete! Thanks for always watching my videos Paul

@Foster Johnson Media No problem brother. You are really turning that WRX into a great car. I can't wait to see your videos on all of the rust under the car. What coilovers should I put on my 2020 STI? What brand of coilovers? Thanks for being a wealth of information for all of us in the subie community.

I've had the AWE Track for most the year now, def my favorite exhaust. I was also lucky enough to of been able to pick it up used for $600

I’m jealous you can get away with a muffler delete. In Commiefornia that’s just asking to be pulled over by local PD with nothing better to do.
Sounds good without being that loud though! Until you tune it with that jpipe lol

I used to think a straight-pipe catback would be too loud for me, so I got an Invidia R400. I thought "this isn't so bad!" Then I wanted more power, so I got a downpipe, which really woke the sound up. Now I think "this isn't so bad!" I adjusted to a new normal.
I also now think a straight-pipe catback is too quiet (for me) 💀
Regardless of what anyone has to say about it, I hope YOU like it, Foster!
