Loved watching this video. Last time I was in Batti in 2005 to install the Batti light on top of the light house. We converted that light to operate on Solar. It was during a peace negotiations as country was at a war. It was the first time that the light started to work as it was shut down due to war. Thanks for going to the same location. Brings back memories of my visit.
This is like the best video you uploaded in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. People were nice, everyone could talk & guide fairly in English, nobody was trying to overcharge. Srilankan Tamils eat the same food as ur Kerala ppl, puttu and idiyappam and more!! Meen Kuzambu is a good one! Our ppl also look kind of similar! Our language is Tamil, but the way we speak and the tone of the language is more closer to Malayalam than it is to Chennai Tamil! Search up Jaffna Tamil videos and u will understand!

Funny isnt it I visited this place 2 years ago believe it or not I found this part of the country to been quite innocent, people were quite nice never ripped us off although they did speak mostly tamil. Where as most other parts of the country all they wanted to do was rip us off and be aggressive. I really hope these areas improve as much as Colombo if not better because those people deserve it after all they've been through.

@@Dale_Philip Passikuda is a Gem in the east, just 30 min away from the town. If you get a a chance, try to visit tho. What makes passikuda better is the "relative shallow waters" due to the natural seabed which block the rough waves or slows it down...

Yes, these are the experiences you only get when you get to more rural and parts of countries that are less known by tourists. The guide books will tell you there's not much to do in Batticaloa and to go to one of the tourist beach resort areas nearby instead.

Lovely I went twice to Sri 1 luxury route 1 to mall guesthouses. Back to see elephants .. nowadays can't get a good job so using last money to base in Istanbul and waiting to see what opens up eg Philippines. Best thing in Sri was politeness of people bird life and giant squirrel. Everywhere they told me no swimming I think after tsunami sea became rougher.

Didn't visit Passikuda. From my research it seemed a bit too clean / touristy for my liking. But I didn't go so I don't know for sure.

Lovely I went twice to Sri 1 luxury route 1 to mall guesthouses. Back to see elephants .. nowadays can't get a good job so using last money to base in Istanbul and waiting to see what opens up eg Philippines. Best thing in Sri was politeness of people bird life and giant squirrel. Everywhere they told me no swimming I think after tsunami sea became rougher.
