thank you so much for these kind of videos, this series is very informational and as a medical student who will be in rotations in a few years too, it shows me what i can expect plus, it breaks the sterotype of surgeons being mean to newly graduated, it's great hearing that they were helpful and don't mind you observing surgeries!! can't wait for the acute medicine video
we just finished renal block in first year of med school so this video has come in an awesome time :) I feel I am consolidating some of what I learnt and learning new things about being a new doctor

Hi nasir, incredible video as alway!! I love that you are enjoying what you do. I hope I enjoy it as well. I’m currently in my 4th year, doing my obs and gyn rotation which is quite an interesting place. But with the new UKMLA exams, this year has been daunting and full of anxiety but hopefully everything will be fine🤞🏽 Cant to hear about your next rotation.
Only today I realised that your videos are in a certain degree, targeting medical students and professionals. My profession has nothing to do with that but I’ve enjoyed your contents for years. Keep up with the good work, doctor Nasir!❤

Hey Nasir, do you have any physician's assistant channels that you would recommend? I am in the process of getting my patient care hours and hope to apply to PA school soon 😊💓. Always love it whenever you upload 💕.
I use to found it difficult to study, and my dream work is becoming a medical doctor, and I am an average student. Please can I become a medical doctor?🥺
Chances are you probably didn't find the best study technique to suit you. Also, if you keep the mindset of: "I'm just average student, i can't become a doctor", you'll never get anywhere, and you certainly won't fulfil your dream. Believe in yourself. Look up the 'fixed mindset vs the growth mindset' also. To get into Medical school (let alone become a doctor) you have to believe in yourself. Even if no one else does, you've gotta find that strength, because you'll most definitely surprise yourself if you put in the effort.
I heard that becoming a surgeon is passion and desire. That is my plan A, although I’ve been thinking about the concept bout plan B n it got me confused therefore I’m thinking of becoming either a surgeon or a gynecologist.
How would they learn to perform basic procedures otherwise? When I had colonoscopy, two nurses were unable to find a vein, so that the doctor had to do that. The other time, my mother needed a change of dressing, and her surgeon performed that, because the nurse assistant was nowhere nearby.

Hi Nasir, first of all I just want to address the abbreviation of "PA" which stands for Physician Associate, not "Physician's" Associate that was incorrectly pronounced in the video. Yes, PAs are supposed to be an addition to the medical workforce to help off-load the work of medical staff. Not necessarily to help doctors do the "menial" tasks so that doctors can do the "doctoring". This is a common misconception that our role only exists to assist doctors. Physician Associate students are trained in the medical model and undergo 2 years of intense postgraduate medical training. We are taught general medical knowledge and skills which allows us to take histories, perform examinations, procedures formulate differentials as well as management plans. After completion of the PA course, we are required to undertake two national exams, including a written paper and a 14-station OSCE. What you have chosen to list in your video about what we do, quite frankly, downplays our level of training. Please use your platform to spread information that you are familiar with, especially when mentioning a new role in healthcare. Otherwise this would lead to continuous misinterpretations. Your viewpoint of PAs based on only one rotation at a certain specialty does not provide enough insight for you to comment on the role. Please do research on the role as there will be more chances of PAs working with doctors moving forward. I have always been a big fan of your humble personality on your channel. Therefore, please continue to create insightful healthcare videos with your open mindedness. Thank you~
