The way the scoring system works is the winner of each round always scores 10 points, with the loser scoring between 6-9 points depending on how big the difference was. At the end, we tally up the individual scores from each round to determine the overall winner.
That's hardly scientific. In fact its suspicious. You cant claim that it's a 10 point inspection if the winner always gets 10 points no matter how badly they were damaged
Maybe you should revise you system and make it that if the phone doesn't crack then it gets a 10. There is no point of having a sophisticated testing system if the scoring system is rubbish.
PhoneBuff Your system is pretty moronic. We suggest a revision. A phone cannot get a score of 10 when the back glass gets damaged, no matter how small the crack, because after the back gets cracked on any back glass phone, it loses its water resistance. The X should've gotten at least a 9 or even 8 on the first few rounds, but no, you had to bloat its score because "aPpLe". Also take note that you made a non-functioning phone fucking win against a phone that survived all 10 drops.
I have to agree with others that the total score doesnt seem justified because of the simple fact that the 9 kept working past the X. Should reconsider scoring method.
Preston Robertson the water resistance is done after that. Should have gotten a 9 on rounds 1 and 2. The damage in round 1 ruined a major feature of the phone, that's hardly worthy of a perfect score

How is it that a phone that stopped working wins in this test? How is it that it gets a 10 in rounds 1 and 2 despite being damaged in both, especially when the damage in round 1 destroys the phone's water resistance?
We don’t know if that iPhone X can survive more than 10 drops, he doesn’t drop it at the end. But with common drops the iPhone X is much resistant, galaxy useless curved display is so fragile.
@@giorat2349 if you actually paid attention you would know that the iPhone X only survived 5 drops before it stopped working. Also, at least replacing that back glass on the Note would cost $30. Not the $500 it would on the iPhone. iPhones always score better with this guy on their "scientific" tests even if they suffer worse or the exact same damage. Just look at their other drop test videos.

PhoneBuff, I always like your way of dropping the phone which for me the most accurate without human errors. Happy to see this even everyday. Thanks bro!
I wish people would watch a bunch of these drop tests so they can see that neither is definitively more durable than the other. It all depends on the exact circumstances of the drop. Being at the same height and falling on the same surface are only 2 of dozens of variables. I’ve seen iPhone X’s dropped from 10 feet on corners and face first with no significant damage and no cracking and I’ve seen others dropped in identical circumstances that shatter from 5-6’
