I've never dropped a phone until last Friday 13th September 2019 few days ago... My Note 10+ 512GB 5G fell pocket height onto a stone floor in a hospital. The phone bounced a few times and landed on it's back. But guess what? Not a single mark on it. Because I always make sure I fit the Spigen Tough Armour case. It really does work. It's all cushioned inside. Be nice if you could do a drop test with that case on. Just to see how hard it will hold up. I feel very lucky it protected my phone I was expecting the above results, it was a hard fall and bounce but it is absolutely fine. I had same make of case on my previous phone, a Note 8 and that also has no scratches just the back case popped off from age. The glue gave up.

If you ask me the back drop 1:19 you can clearly see that the Note 10+ might have more cracks on the back, but the iPhone XS Max has less cracks on the back, but what is not mentioned is that the iPhone XS Max has also a lens crack come from the left side. So here it would be the Note 10+ to win or tie.
Back glass: If the samsung back glass breaks its easy and cheap to fix while the iphone is literally epoxied to the frame and can't be replaced without taking everything out of the phone, using a ton of heat or liquid nitrogen or you replace the whoel frame with glass. Also the rear camera glass is the same story. Front glass: the iphone will be cheaper to fix but the water resistant seal will most likely be compromised for ever. While the samsung front glass can be bought with the mid-frame (usually this is how you buy them) and that keeps the front seal intact and all you have to worry about is getting the back sealed properly. Also the samsung is so much easier to work on. Basically if you want to buy a phone and keep it for 2-3 years and be able to replace stuff somewhat easily go with the samsung. If you don't want to keep your phone for more than 12-18 months, go with the iphone.

I had my Note 9 since little bit after launch and never put a screen protector just a case and I've dropped it only 2X and its mint condition minus the fingerprint scanner tiny butterfly scratches... this phone is more durable than the Note 10/10+ which is quite sad... hopefully Note 11 Pro is better

Do you get that any sane sensible person will put a tempered glass screen and a hardcore case on? For $40 I have saved myself £1000's, drop my phone regular due to neuro issues. Having an £1100 phone, most of us have no excuses if we do not have a case! If you prefer not to, then good luck! Not only that but I sell mine second hand and having a scratched broken phone kills the value by as much as 50%, so financially a sound investment.

1. iPhone Xs Max back glass is thicker than the Note 10, well than all Samsung devices. 2. Note 10 glass you can replace (I wont say easily as for some its not) IPhone glass is not really that easy. Unless you buy the back glass already in a new frame. 3. Gorilla glass 6 is supposed to survive 2x more drops than 5, however the thickness of the glass changes that.
You can do all the testing you want and say and favor it how ever you want but all I know is a WHOLE bunch of people walk around with broken iPhones and you rarely see a broken Samsung js.
technically the first drop matters. Once your phone has a crack in it no one gives a damn be it a Samsung or an Iphone. So for me the Samsung failed right away.
I doubt warranty covers these kinds of test...moreover, I would love to know what PhoneBuff does to those test phones that they damaged after each video was made.
These "tests" are, lets face it, for entertainment value at best - what happens to your phone when you drop it is dependent on so many different factors, you can largely ignore any test claiming to be related to phone strength. Unless the phone catches fire and explodes when it falls off the sofa, basing your phone choice on one of these tests is like basing your choice of car on if it still works after driving it off a cliff.
If this test is so accurate, shouldn’t the results for each device that’s tested more than once be the exact same? For example, the iPhone should have incurred the exact same damage this time as it did against the 10+? There’s always that human error element.
I switched to from apple to samsung after my iphone fell off the bed with an otterbox on & the screen cracked, also when I lost all my pictures in iCloud. But I switched to the s7 edge and used a spigen case, w/ no screen protector. I have the note 9 now and still using spigen cases. Never have had a problem with samsung screens breaking. One even fell down a flight of stairs.

If this test is so accurate, shouldn’t the results for each device that’s tested more than once be the exact same? For example, the iPhone should have incurred the exact same damage this time as it did against the 10+? There’s always that human error element.
I switched to from apple to samsung after my iphone fell off the bed with an otterbox on & the screen cracked, also when I lost all my pictures in iCloud. But I switched to the s7 edge and used a spigen case, w/ no screen protector. I have the note 9 now and still using spigen cases. Never have had a problem with samsung screens breaking. One even fell down a flight of stairs.
How many of you are willing to use the note 10 after 10 drops

Apple tech in their phones have always been trash though. The screen stopped responding on the first front drop.

I dropped my Note 10 Plus first day I opened it the corners slightly cracked it's not noticeable but they need to make stronger glass

Samsung phone is not symmetric when it comes to weight distribution. It can be clearly seen: phone does not fall perfectly on one side, it's Center of gravity is not at the center
Do a battery test with the smaller phones
