That was fantastic and good on you for the Dick Dale shout out. That man and the music revolution he was apart of will truly never be re-created. The world will never be where it was in 1955. Man, Im trading a Strymon Flint for one of these and this video has me soooooo jazzzzzed to get it! I wonder how it will fare up against my Carl Martin Headroom which is kinda my favorite pedal of ALLTIME
52 style pickups with the flat pole pieces in that bridge give a really mellow tone. not shrill at all I have lollar pups and they sound great. Check out Nash Guitars T-52 model. It might be close to a custom shop Tele.
I know and use Crazy Tube Circuits stuff so I'm not surprised by another really amazing pedal. But you my friend... I was blown away by your playing and musicianship. What a guitar player...
great pedal, wow! and great playing as usual Jay...I'm probably at least 10 years older than you dude, but you're the kind of player I want to be when I grow up. :)
JayLeonardJ, that's some serious SOUL you're throwing at us from 4:20-5:10.. F$CKED me all up with that DOPE A$$ playing!! My man...,,,,you take me to a better place.. You're loaded in Soul, brimming in The Spirit, appreciate you Brother.. Where's your music at?? I need some of that Son Shine that flows through you in abundance.. Tell us, JayLeonardJ, let us sip from the bottle you bring!! I hear so much Stax and Motown soul in your playing, the Steve Cropper, Curtis Mayfield kind of chordal embellishments, and those beautiful sliding fourths.. A time past long ago, never to be forgotten, such a pleasure to hear you play that sweet slow vibrant soul.. Great playing man, damn, that's great playing.. Where's two hours of your playing on CD, tape, album?? I need that drink!!!
Great demo!! Dude you're such a RAD player!! I thought my EHX Oceans 11 reverb was all I needed for good spring reverb ( I obvs have low standards! lol! ) and it pales in comparison to the White Whale!! Love it!!!!! New subscriber since yesterday!! w00tz! Enjoy the beautiful Vancouver Autumn! I am!!
@@JayLeonardJ Thanks for the suggestion - I know spring reverb often = Surf Music, but this particular pedal almost cries out for trying a finger style approach - at least to me.
Yeah, that was useful - he plays the Whale with and without a pick - and takes different approaches. Not just 60's Surf Music - Hey I'm in "Surf Town USA' here on the coast of California - but I like Spring tanks for all sorts of things.
How am I supposed to know what sounds good when you make everything sound good, dammit Jay.

That blue Tele! Not just another guitar, this one always stops me. Tuned to perfection. Has that je ne sais quoi. Man, those Virgil Arlo pickups!

This pedal is the kind of reverb I've been trying to find, it sounds just perfect.. your demo was as good as the telecaster

This by far the best review of a really incredible pedal. Thanks.
Brilliant demo, and lovely homage!
I've been trying to copy what you play on your tele in these vids because your playing just inspires me man.

You, my friend, is fantastic! Thanks for a great demo. Keep this up!!
That brownface tremolo!
I don't play guitar and I'm not easily taken by the sound but this sounds so good. Love the way Jay is playing.
Sounds great
AWESOM JUST WHAT i LIKE
Que jugador este Jay, tremendo!. Y gran pedal también.
Surf's up in Canada! Great playing!
The technique on spalling the spring box for a drum shot is amazing. Did you innovate that?
Wow to everything...
There’s also the Carl Martin Headroom.
genial la manera de tocar la de este tipo
Very nice.....
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
how much is it?choose it or strymon flint?
I feel like they should give you a cut of the pedal I buy - because you just sold it to me.
Sounds harsh the way you are hitting the strings - really want to hear this reverb played differently.
Check out RJ's vid on it. He did a wonderful job and plays it with a very different touch :)
