“I never wanna die I never wanna leave I’ll never say goodbye” Taylor you will always live in our hearts and souls Your legacy and passion will remain forever
Man I love watching Pat on stage. He just looks like he's soaking it up, enjoying every second of every show. He loves being there just as much as the audience if not more.
He was Alanis Morissette‘s drummer before going to the Foo Fighters, he’s great…. One of the few instruments where he would actually let Taylor in to the studio, they would record every other instrument and vocals himself, but he said Taylor is better than him at drums, the first Foo Fighters album is 100% Dave
I was never disappointed whenever rock bands were live on Letterman, that's the reason why and you know what I mean 👏 You can hear everything on it and every instruments they played.
I used to love watching him drum - the way his left elbow always came up to the exact point time and again before each hit. I first noticed that in a live Alanis Morrisette video.
This song resonates with me as I was getting through the grief of my late husband's untimely death from cancer. I see so many meanings in many of Dave's words and beautiful rhythm.
I'm so so sorry for your loss. My son was 2 when he was diagnosed with leukemia. Now that he's fine, I listen to this song over and over thinking about coming back from that experience.
This song actually was part of my motivation to literally learning to walk again….thank you Foo’s for creating music that has such depth and meaning to so many ❤️🤘
Wasting Light might be.....the greatest album EVER! I have listened to it over 100 times...has to be more than that. The songs strike such a deep cord with me. All their CDs have been great...but this is like a new evolution of amazing. BEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been listening to The Foo Fighters for a really long time. Since the 90's. The is the greatest song they ever made. I thought The Best of You was the best song. No. This was is the greatest ever made.
A million miles away Your signal in the distance To whom it may concern I think I lost my way Getting good at starting over Every time that I return I'm learning to walk again I believe I've waited long enough Where do I begin? I'm learning to talk again Can't you see I've waited long enough? Where do I begin? Do you remember the days We built these paper mountains And sat and watched them burn? I think I found my place Can't you feel it growing stronger? Little conquerors I'm learning to walk again I believe I've waited long enough Where do I begin? I'm learning to talk again I believe I've waited long enough Where do I begin? Now For the very first time Don't you pay no mind? Set me free again You keep alive a moment at a time But still inside a whisper to a riot To sacrifice but knowing to survive The first decline another state of mind I'm on my knees, I'm praying for a sign Forever, whenever I never wanna die I never wanna die I never wanna die I'm on my knees I never wanna die I'm dancing on my grave I'm running through the fire Forever, whatever I never wanna die I never wanna leave I'll never say goodbye Forever, whatever Forever, whatever I'm learning to walk again I believe I've waited long enough Where do I begin? I'm learning to talk again Can't you see I've waited long enough? Where do I begin? I'm learning to walk again I believe I've waited long enough I'm learning to talk again Can't you see I've waited long enough?
I love how the band fully committed to the whole Beatles feel and played with their guitars up to their chests. And the Beatles-eque logo on the kick drum skin. Details! All in the details!
Best song i have heard in a long long time, brilliant in build up and absoluty awesome in the fast part!! i don't wanna die!!!!!!! can't wait to see this live
First of all, Walk was really one of the only rock songs in the nominations since they added songs that really weren't "rock performances" and secondly, the simplistic yet beautiful lyrics, and the overall musicality was better than all the other nominees' songs
Every time I watch the Foos, I can't help but think in amazement how every musician in that band is so perfect for the style of music they perform. You're right about Pat, and Nate is a badass bass player as well. I guess if I were a member of that band I'd be loving life. They all obviously enjoy what they're doing. What could be better?
Hey! Update. Getting BKA (below knee amp). PLEASE, if u have diabetes check your feet every day. I didn't n now have sepsis. It's nothing to mess around with . . . take a few seconds to check n see a dr. This song means more to me than ya know. Gives me strength n hope. Take care of yourself everyone n God bless!
a song about a pat in the back at himself, surviving the insecurities of being the 5th drummer of Nirvana ( he was scared of being fired), but then showing the world and esp himself that he can make it, that he belongs... CONGRATS DAVE!
🙋 I've probably shared this yrs ago but I'm in the same situation again. Having to re learn to walk again due to major ulcer, bottom, left foot, of what remains. This song gives me hope . . . Had latest ulcer since 11/18, but it's getting better so quickly now!! So I AM learning to walk again, one day at a time. Yalls song is a constant "hell yeah" for me!! Thanks guys! Keep on keeping on! N know y'all have, thru ur music, given hope. Ain't that's what music is for? THANK U!
I remember when I first found out Dave grohl was the drummer in nirvana and it blew my mind! (Born in 1992.) I like that I've always known him from foo fighters! First video of theirs I watched was learn to fly and I fell in love 😂❤
I usually never relate to words in any song :/ . I just love music and a voice rocking out! With that statement there’s a big BUT! After dealing with years of pain with acceptance and mindfulness in my life, I too am, “ learning to walk again “ and I can relate deeply on an emotional level. For me, these words are inspirational! :) :) :)
Learning to walk again I believe I've waited long enough Where do I begin? Learning to talk again Can't you see I've waited long enough? Where do I begin?
Sadly the "I never want to die" part is NEVER as awesome, intense, and emotional as the record's version. "Studio" song almost brings me to tears. This one makes me sad at how different it WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
“I never wanna die
I never wanna leave
I’ll never say goodbye”
Taylor you will always live in our hearts and souls
Your legacy and passion will remain forever
That part hits a little harder now doesn’t it…
Man I love watching Pat on stage. He just looks like he's soaking it up, enjoying every second of every show. He loves being there just as much as the audience if not more.
Pat is probably the coolest guy in the band when they are playing.😎
i love pat so much 😩
That smile never gets tiring xx
Yeah but look at Chris. His pedalboard failed him live.... He was done fucked up 😂

Awesome, and it´s actually Live, no playback.
I don't think they did. I think they would have bumped Chris's volume in the intro if they did.
This was a whole special on letterman they played a ton of songs and the broadcast was black and white
The tone and mixing sucks dude
My track when I get out of mental due to mental illness.. Life is wonderful!
foo fighters is more than a band for me.

Tears of joy, and gratitude for Taylor! Miss you everyday, brother. RIP ❤️
WHAT A WONDERFUL SONG!!!
I LOVE THIS BAND!
NIRVANA AND FOOF FIGHTERS ALWAYS IN MY HEART!!!
Thank you Foo Fighter. Without you guys, there will be no one else to fight the foo
I love when bands allude to the Beatles in this way...it's kinda like they're paying tribute to where this kind of music started and how far it's come
even down to the black and white colorization
This is the same stage the Beatles performed on the Ed Sullivan show...but you knew that already :)
Love the homage to the Beatles! Excellent song, even better performance.
Not a single live vid where Taylor isn’t smiling, man was born to play the drums❤️
I'm always blown away by these guys and 4 guitars. Incredible as always.
I love how the band fully committed to the whole Beatles feel and played with their guitars up to their chests. And the Beatles-eque logo on the kick drum skin. Details! All in the details!
This song gets better with age....just had my first grand baby in the family....life goes on and on so do the foo's
Their positive energy is just amazing...
Omg love him 😍
amazing, the foo fighters is the only band you could probably like their new stuff better than their old stuff, a true rock and roll band...!!!!!
We love you, Taylor

This was my divorce song, and DAMN did it ever serve me well. I honestly feel this song kept me from giving in to the rage or the depression.
First of all, Walk was really one of the only rock songs in the nominations since they added songs that really weren't "rock performances" and secondly, the simplistic yet beautiful lyrics, and the overall musicality was better than all the other nominees' songs
