Done it mate, 52 f mono. Been in the water since 2005. When I was building it, people asked me what will I do when it is finished? My answer was "I maintain it" Never a truer word spoken. When it is done ,it is not over. And yes, I still love her. All 32 tons of the big arse.

If you are social sailing a lot, then tanks toward the bow will be a godsend. When everyone is hanging around the stern, you always wish you had more weight up front!

I believe the red all round mast head lights indicate mast height 150 ft or more above water level and are a warning to aircraft, Sydney harbour has several approved seaplane operating zones and helicopters and sightseeing planes often operate at low levels in the area. thanks for another great video

For work like that I would always work wet on wet. Bog and fillet the foam in with thickened resin. Use 2 tiny dots of hot melt glue on foam base that holds it in place. Then tab them in while fillet is still wet.

I do that when I am using epoxy as thus is vinylester system working time is less than 20 minutes so it gets hectic so easy sanding is possible within 24hours to maintain chemical bond. Although a modified epoxy vinyl is carried in a styrene based monomer and catalyzed within Norox Mekp.Cheers Rossco.

Could you put some reflective Mylar/PETE on top of your structure, kind of like those space blankets that joggers use, and then throw away after a race? I think that even the blankets they are pretty cheap. If my guesstimate is correct, they could cover 12x12 meters for $30, using 50 blankets that are about 1/2 x 2 meters each. Though, they make noise in the wind, and if you, personally make a lot of heat, it will stay inside. It would be optimal if somehow they could be elevated a few center-meters from the inside tarp/plastic, so little of any heat would be trapped inside. So, it would be a shade structure.
There is also heat-reflective paint, but I don't know how long it would stay on plastic.
Perhaps add some fans near the top of the structure to vent the heat?

@@LifeOnTheHulls It seemed so much faster making the bottom part of the hull, spray gel coating it in one go. They do say the devil is in the detail, but your doing a good job, glad your sailing in between to blow off all the steam back down to normal levels. If I lived nearby and you could tolerate my company I'd come help out in various stages and exchange them for days cruising on the boat like the night views of Sydney harbour bridge, city and opera house and by the corals without damaging them. But I'm in the UK and I'm a pain in the arse lol. Perhaps others could work though

I know a fan would just blow hot air, but it would help evaporate sweat and keep you a bit cooler, also carry off fumes...Personally, I'd rig a plastic tent and set up a 5000 BTU AC unit in the side, you could easily move the whole thing when you needed to work elsewhere...Those tanks are going to have to stand forward pressure from slamming into heavy seas, filled with liquid they're going to have a lot of mass that should be braced against...Triple red mast lights usually means vessel constrained by draft, placement can be vertical or horizontal...

More capacity is alway great if you are not going to be a marina rat. Some of the boats at our marina haven't moved in years. There are boats in here I have never seen anybody onboard at all. Go figure. I pay $10.00 US p/ft which includes water and electric 220/115 vac. My monthly charge is so low because we are so far up the delta from the San Francisco Bay. I am in "F" shed in New Bridge Marina which is for up to 45 ft'ers. I am berthed in the next slip to my brother which makes it very nice. Even nicer, my stern door is inline with the ramp to the dock. This makes it so easy to load and unload. This marina is also home to our Yacht Club which has been here since 1953, aka the year I was born. We are the only Yacht Club On The Water. You can see pictures and videos in my UA-cam videos. What did you think of doug at sv seeker doing his "social experiment" (explosion, severe brain injury, verge of death) to "weed out the weak subscribers" As he explained anyone that was upset he was injured is weak and has issues - because subs are not his friends and he does not care about them and they should feel the same- and should go away since he does not want to be surrounded by weak people. He was happy initially when he lost tens of thousands of subs in a matter of hours, until he realized he was losing hundreds of patrons and deleted everything.

Great fun! I envy you. I always wanted to marry Marianne and make beautiful babies with her.
