I agree, it's a little too gamey to do so in pretty much every game

I can poll it, but generally people have prefered a meta approach, but rp would be more novel. I think spread out is a lot better in a reverse sway but still only one primary war meta
Maybe a middle ground is doing one or two specific RP focused runs with specific ideas/themes/goals@@generalistgaming
@@generalistgamingi personally appreciate you doing more meta videos, since most of the minimal vic 3 content on youtube isnt much of tutorials or guides. your content is much more helpful for navigating how the game works fundamentally, since its such a confusing game itself.
I think you can add ports early game to add infrastructure and have a more comfortable amount of convoys available
I realized this when falling asleep last night - too many practice runs as Indian Territories had me forgetting you can get infra from ports
You know, super power sweden is an interesting idea. Like you said I dont think Scandinavia has enough pops. But that being said reviving the livonian order by reconquering the Baltic States (maybe ingria?) Would be dope

Is there a reason you should dominion over puppet? In my first few games I've been using strictly puppets because I figured the decreased autonomy would be beneficial.
It's less infamy - if you plan on annexing in the near future dominion is generally better. Though Zulu I puppeted for military access
Hey Generalist, I have had many similar issues that you had at 18:30. One of my most frustrating times it has happened was a war against Russia (one of several war goals was to release Perm) where I both had them accept and then reloaded to tick them to -100 - no change. Some War goals just don't go through for some reason and I have not seen anything online for fixes etc. Its never happened in previous patches. Do you have any insights?
Not sure exactly - seems like a 1.4 thing? Probably not going to play too much more on this patch anyways (more 1.5 beta as it improves)

I don't recall off the top of my head, but if it's not there at the start of next episode I might've cancelled my law pass in the interim.
When rolling for IG leaders, do you load every time you exile to see if they pick up the preferred trait, or do you exile and return loop the same guy until they get the right trait?
You restart the run because there is a cooldown on exiling, just loading will give you the same result iirc, but if you wait a day it's different.

I believe the two requirements are the industrialists being demarginalized and also having Stock Exchange researched and Sweden fulfills those two?

There is a very small but vocal group asking for Norway and every time I put them to a poll it underperforms - was kinda expecting them to come out bigger for this poll
Wait did I just hear that 5 years of throughput bonus is not good. Sir. You will have to show the math on saving 6 months of time researching water tube boilers vs 5yrs of 33% bonus. I don't think the math is mathing for me
I mean I haven't done a breakdown, so I could be mistaken, but throughput becomes less valuable the more of it you have (ie, in Skopia [not sure which state] I believe we have like 60% throughput already, so 33% effectively gives us like 16% more of a building instead) More importantly, it's not just getting water-tube 6 months faster (water tube IS better than 33% throughput though). It's getting every tech 6 months faster for the foreseeable future (as it while be a hot minute before we build a ton of unis to tech spread a ton), so we'd have to consider not just water-tube now but also other techs later. Like when we get labor unions we'll likely demarginalize Trade Unions, and if we juggle approval well also get 10% throughput on ALL manufacturing for 6 more months, in addition to more labor w/ their second bonus.
Ofc you can build unis w/ the additional revenue, but then this is forgoing the growth of the economic building too. Notably if you just shoot up throughput you'll also experience a little less benefit initially as the market adjusts, and a little bit of pain as it adjusts at the other end, but that's probably not all that substantive an effect.

Videos that would be good but they are terribly long and time consuming. You speak way to much compared to the amount of information actually passed. Even on 1.5x speed I feel like I'm wasting time and would rather read a quick overview than watch and listen.

Because there is a land contact between our customs unions (I believe cape colony/zulu)
