just goes to show the difference in how strong the Ottoman Empire was between the two games' time periods EU4 gives you the Ottomans at their peak when they conquered most of the Mediterranean, while Vic3 gives you the Ottoman Empire in its twilight years, where its state of decline had it ridiculed as the Sick Man of Europe
Please remember that ww2 started when everybody declared on germany for taking back ww1 lost territory and in ww1 germany only joined because of alliance responsibilities. Germany is lot more peaceful than the british empire but germans are bad at plotting, thats why they always get the blame.
@@Njordin2010That's a shit argument and you are wrong. When did Germany own the Sudetenland or the rest of czechia? If you use the argument that the Sudetenland was German ethnically that doesn't excuse destroying Czechoslovakia and that argument can also be used for the polish and danish parts of Germany that were taken or where the people voted to join via plebiscite. Germany also only came to exist in 1870. Germany also gave the blank cheque for the Austrians to declare WW1, had they not, the Austrians very well may have toned down their demands. They were willing to help the Austrian imperials and told them as much. WW1 also crippled all the European powers, everyone came out of that war as a shell of themselves. The Germans got the lightest deal of the central powers and were the ones who decided to break their treaty. The British and the French were practically bankrupt, of course they gave harsh reparations, the whole of northern France (the industrial parts of France) were devastated by the war. If anything, the American entry into the war made the peace treaty light enough for Germany to be able to rise back up and start trouble. The French had the right idea of wanting to balkanize the country. Also comparing how peaceful certain empires are to each other is stupid.
You made a joke that in Romania a "buttload" is an actual unit of measure but... it *IS* an actual unit of measure! A butt is a wine cask, measuring 573 litres.
43:10 I'm not sure if that is a bug but the feature has been termed a yo-yo sway. Previously as long as you are not fighting in another war and were not siding with another participant in another war, you can sway the the undesirable side and then get a better sway with the desired side. You tend to get a lot of free expansion from revolutions.
14:28 "Racial segregation is extremely important." - Ludi et Historia playing Prussia into Germany. 15:17 "Unfortunately, freaking, annoying French are guaranteeing the independence" - GB: "First time?" meme with James Franco. Romanian man in Japan is getting his labour bear fruit. Good to see.
43:43 tbh I don't think the concept of flip-flopping sides to leverage better deals is a bug necessarily, it seems pretty intentional as a way to leverage your power to coerce smaller states into giving you better deals, by siding with the opposing side and then saying "hey they're going to become my puppet and you can't win against me, how about you at least make sure you're the one ruling the new regime." There is however a weird sometimes glitch with it though, I don't remember the specifics but in my Raj run I ended up flip flopping twice to get both parties as my puppet and it kind of borked the game into just giving me two tiny puppets by negating the war somehow. That at least is probably a bug though I don't remember the specifics too well. Tl;dr, supporting the side you don't want to win to twist the arm of the side you do want to win is a feature, not a bug(imo at least, maybe they do end up removing it eventually)
@@jamesyoung3731 it does have the downside of lowering your relations with the side you flip off of by 50 iirc. It's not much but does make scamming your allies a bit more risky.

Little clarification, if your subject has a state you need for a formation you can ONLY annex the subject, and get all it's incorporated states, IF the subject shares a primary culture with your formable. For example, in one game I managed to puppet France and when I formed Central Europe I did not get all of France, only French Low counties, because France is not a primary culture in Central Europe.
Love the longer/full series videos. Will be interesting to see how the game changes in this patch affects the ability to form super germany. The old strategy of liberating Hungary/Czechs in the leadership war, forcing them down to minor power, and improving relations so they support you as a unification candidate might not be viable any more.
Old Age Pension is an incredibly strong institution for a country that is well-developed, it will make your consumer market explode and drive GDP growth even faster with that extra dependent income. S-tier institution that is only narrowly beaten by public health service.
New update ruined my first and last run. I was playing as the Ottomans. All my buildings and land I owned got bugged out. Australia had land in Europe. Denmark owned the entirety of Italy. Should've known the new update would ruin my run.
