I was going to question the real Sarsons vinegar, as opposed to the standard chip shop unfermented "vinegar", but then I realised you were at home. That fish and chips looked gorgeous, really appetising. WOW! Sorry, Greeno, I have to say "no", I do not put vinegar on my chips; a skip full of salt but no vinegar. - "Gary, do you want some chips with all that salt", no thank you. I know that is so unhealthy I am a bit weird with vinegar, I like it on batter i.e. battered fish or sausage and mushy peas. I even like pickled onions, gherkins and eggs. But no vinegar on my chips please! There is absolutely nothing wrong with a good old-fashioned chip butty. A load of salt and pepper - yum!
I do like haddock, although I tend not to eat the skin unless it’s a very thin batter allowing the skin to crisp up. Normally I find the skin just stays soggy, which is just not up my street! Thanks for watching 😀
@@GreenoEats Tons more flavour with your haddock, I find cod to be so bland in comparison 😅 but yeah the skin needs to be part crispy as it really adds to the flavour 👌
@@IamBATMAN2024 Yeah, haddock is a bit more fishy than cod if you know what I mean. If you ever find yourself in Weymouth, try yourself a mackerel bap - now that's a taste sensation!!
for a while A fish n chip van used to come right out side my door ❤the first i got was lovely ❤after that it went rubbish 😢😢she Stoped coming after while
@@GreenoEats they had problems with the Fryers and the gas bottles the fryer was not hot enough i tried there fish cake was horrible full of bones yep was cheap frozen rubbish
That's interesting Tony - is it exclusively on a roll? I grew up eating chip butties made with cheap white sliced bread, with butter on it, because it clearly wasn't unhealthy enough without butter!
Now you’re talking - your order is the staple in the South West 👍
Pretty good for something out of a food truck weren’t they!

I am very much in the "each to their own' camp when it comes to seasoning chips. But plenty of salt is a given!!
Who'd have thought you could get fish and chips of this quality from a truck - amazing!
And don't forget to let me know your thoughts on the pickled egg controversy!! 😀

Chip buddy yum. Curry sauce on it would be good. From oz.
My favourite on chips is probably salad cream, now that’s yummy!

Chip Butties are the norm in Australia 🇦🇺 😑. Making me wish I there lol
Is that right Tony? Wow, glad to know it's not just the Brits enjoying such fine food options!!
@@GreenoEats There are no chip butties in Sydney....doubt anywhere in Oz, unless its X pats
Welcome to the channel Andrew! Yeah maybe it's just the Brits in Oz carrying on the tradition then...
In Brisbane Australia they're quite common. And no not a expat.Chips on a bread roll
