The cot and sleeping bag are both older Coleman parts I picked up some years ago. The cot is the older version on the newer and lighter Colman Airbed - twin. Here is the newer model: www.coleman.com/sleeping-bags-beds/camp-cots/airbed-cot---twin/SAP_2000020272.html?gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=CjwKCAjwgZCoBhBnEiwAz35RwpV_EYahrDlBX92GdBkDRe3nSgte_Z3TidscgszGynh6me2-Id82eRoCDlMQAvD_BwE&pid=SAP_2000020272&actionPoint=Show The sleeping bag is Colman also but an older Heritage model that was a larger bag with more of a mummy shape without the lower temp rating. This one was rated to 32 F and was more roomy than a mummy
You most definitely can and it would cut down on your set-up and tear down time but it makes a mess dragging all the dirt over your side walls when you pack up. I think it would be a trade off between set-up tear down and cleanup between use.
Actually its so well ventilated with the screens that even in the middle of the day when I set up its not at all hot. To add to that the Awning itself has a 6" air gap between the top of the tent and the awning so there is a double insulation on the roof so you get minimal heat conduction and convection through the air gap is minimal. Also take into consideration this is a 8' cube so you are not that near any surface you don't want to be. Take a look at the number of tents that are dark or black these days and modern materials have minimized those effects along with good design.
Straight to the point!
I try to be
This is an awesome video! I just ordered that for my 4Runner!
Just out of curiosity, do you have a link for your bedding?

What size awning did you go with?
This was the 8' awning, they also make a 6.5'
Got a question for you on the Roam. Can you leave the floor attached on set up and take down?

The Roam awning looks awesome! Thanks for the review and the camp site looms amazing. What camp ground is that in Big bear?
East of Bowery Rock (climbing rock area)
Hey man, are you running the 35’ s now ? I’m itching to see how it looks .
Check out the 35's in this video: ua-cam.com/video/ThQxocrQDjo/v-deo.html
Awesome concept but a black tent is a non starter. It’s going to be a thousand degrees in there.
