Rossini - Semiramide - Sutherland, Horne, Rouleau, Hoekman, Montal /Bonynge - Boston, 7 Febr.1965

This is a good audience recording of an exciting performance of Semiramide.
Sutherland as well as Horne in one of their most glamorous roles ! In fact they made them their own, because there is nobody who equals them in this opera ! Vai records has issued a live recording of Semiramide as well from Boston, but they used a recording of the first performance, which was given on February 5. This is the second one from February 7. There were only 2 performances. It is a nice clear recording, so enjoy the greatness of both ladies!

According to esdf, the second performance was conducted by Sarah Caldwell. I don't know if they are right.
