just ordered two, 20€ each, I recall having owned the Ibanez as a youngster, now theyre axing about 200€s for that..., where have all of my youthful thangs gone....?
I have this pedal. I think it sounds better than anything in this video. I might not have gotten it had I watched this first, but, I assure you this pedal is amazing and not so amazing on this demo. Buy it because it does TS-9 and 808 very well. With some gain it does it's job as Tube Screamer. Not show in this video.
So you're saying it sounds good when you play it but you think it sounds bad when he does...so I'm sure you have an Awesome video out to back this up, showing us all how much better than this poster you supposedly are?
I bought one and I love it. Thanks for your demo. It was you that made me buy it. I would never get rid of it. I paid $35.00 cad for it and it’s worth every cent.👍
I got mine a few years ago ,great pedal at a great price ,but the difference between the ts8 and ts9 switch is so subtle that you can barely tell them apart. the ts9 setting is a bit fizzier ,so the ts8 setting is my fave !!!
Matt Gilbert ...Tis so subtle that u practically need an oscilloscope to see/hear it...and even then u wonder if it's ur imagination matey...great pedal tho !!!
It would have been nice to see how the TS-9 part sounded. it was basically demoed as a TS808 and many people would be buying this to switch between the two.
He does. Right at the start. "Ts9 mode". Then at 5:00 or therabouts he switches the toggle I have one, and there's basically no difference, I am not convinced the toggle does anything at all. *Maybe* a slight change in output.
Very good video showing all what you can get out of this TS clone! I have one guestion if some owner could answer please: does it have a lot of volume boost? I mean can you drive your tube amp to with this pedal with minimal drive and lot of volume adjusted? Thanks in advance.
I have had one on my board now for over a year plus. Retired my old TS808. I find the TS9 on this pedal is smoother and the TS808 a little more aggressive. I like both settings so I bought another and it's on my board now as well.
Just got it today, i have it hooked to my Gretsch B.Setzer signature into marshall dsl40 and it's great, just makes the pups scream, i prefer the ts808 setting..
I bought it because some idiot said it sunds same as tubescreamer. Well I dont know how tubescreamer sounds but frien have lend me Maxon OD808 and it souns lot better than demon. I asume Ibanez will sound simmilar. Just fuler more distorted sound. But Maxon cost £99 and Deamon £30. If money no oject go for different then demon,.
I've been looking for any kind of tube style overdrive/boost like this for a while and found this pedal hiding in a shop for $25. I didn't even play it, just bought it lol.
I loved it. It sounded better than my Ibanez 9 reissue. But two things. The one I got didn't use a 9volt battery. Just an adapter. PLUS, it blew up two practice amps of mine!! (I THINK it was because of this. I could be wrong. But when I took it out of the chain my amps stopped blowing out.) Just my two cents. Anyone try the Twinote Tube Screamer knock off?
@@intheblues You like those Mexican pickups I see, Jimmy Vaughn use's the same pickups. Many players swap those pickups out and upgrade you can find a set of used at low prices here in the USA if anyone is looking on Ebay. Nice job Shane. I'm looking at this pedal on Ebay for $29.80 USD new I think I'll buy it. But it comes from China and for me a long wait. I see one from Texas but for $48 but will get to me under a week.
I bought one and it matched every tone i tried against my green rhino. Not as much volume in this as the rhino or my.ocd though but for the prices its amazingly good.
Why did you name it "Clone Central"? I don't understand. It is/was made by Mosky Audio. It's not listed anywhere on the internet as Clone Central except in results linking to you or someone referring to your videos. So why do you call it that? I don't get it. It's like you're making up a mfg name or something. 🤷♂️
Hi Shane :) How would this one compare to the traditional IBZ TS9 and TS808 ? Are the circuits the same ? I have no clue if these are standard component but given that Maxon used to build the IBZ models, it's not so far fetched to think the component are EXACTLY the same... What's your opinion about all this ? Maybe it would actually require a full blown video about the subject thinking of it... Keep up the good work man :)
I'm not sure what is inside this pedal but I have a Maxon OD808 and on that setting it's very, very close. I have a comparison video coming up shortly. :-)
Probably because Ibanez is a rebranded Maxon pedal dude ;-) haha. There's so many clones of a Tubescreamer out there mate and so many mods of them too.
Great demo showing the pedal's versatility, although I wish you'd adjust the tone knob below 2 o' clock. Regardless, you've made it clear that it's a contender amongst other copies!
I have this pedal. There is hardly any difference when switching between the TS808 and TS9 modes. It is a sweet sounding overdrive pedal with enough 'bite' to cut through a densed mix. My guess is its nothing but a marketing gimmick to entice us to buy this.
That was the first thing I noticed when I got mine today. I could tell that the 808 setting seemed slightly more mid voiced than the ts9, but its hard to really tell much of a difference. That being said, I really like this pedal. I paid $54 for it so it seems like a good value for the money.
The only difference between the TS9 and TS808 circuits are two output resistors. Never was a huge difference, majority of difference was different tolerances among components and earlier TS808 used a different IC than later TS9
Had this pedal for a year now, absolutely love it. Was kinda tricked into thinking I needed to replace it with a BD2, but you've reminded me how versatile and great sounding these bad boys are, so thanks for that.
Hi , I have just purchased this pedal as my first pedal ever. I am a beginner been playing around 6 month and am looking to achieve a John Mayer tone. Obviously the joyo is a price friendly pedal and seems to be getting great reviews. Can you tell me some more joyo pedals to buy and add to my collection so I can try to achieve that John Mayer tone. I think a clean glass would be good for a clean boost. Please advise what you would buy for the John Mayer tone. Hope to hear from you soon Liam
That pedal made bubbles come out of his arse!
Oh yes i see fire. muha

TONE TOO HIGH THE WHOLE TIME WITH THE TELE!
Good sounding pedal, helped by a good demo. That tele bridge sound on TS9! These demos are always good at showing exactly how the pedal sounds.
You can get this for $19.99 search demon ts9 Ali
I just ordered the 'Demon' tube screamer the Klon clone and the 'RAT' distortion clone all from China last week :)
Great choice.
hi everyone! just tried it with Simble: very good! compared with TrexDiva and Tone City Sweet Cream VERY GOOD!
Dude I'm buying one of these ASAP!!!! To me this Pedal is Clearer and smoother without that flat Ass Doll tone the 808 sometimes has! Lol

I have this pedal but when i switch modes it doesn't change anything
Toggle switch makes a huge thud noise when changing ts 9 to ts 808. It's a good jammin' pedal, it's well made. Oh, and the led light is blinding.
Love the sound without the pedal before the demo begins. Lovely amp and guitar.
i don't know why people freak out for 808 or ts9 becasue the difference is really subtle
I bought one and I love it. Thanks for your demo. It was you that made me buy it. I would never get rid of it. I paid $35.00 cad for it and it’s worth every cent.👍
I just bought one of these pedals on Aliexpress for $24, shipping and tax included.
You are the reason why I bought this pedal and I thank you very much! I LOVE IT!!
Very subtle, but I thought 808 was a tad smoother sounding!
I just purchased this pedal and I think I’ll be happy with it. Both pedals in one for pennies on the dollar.
LOL...Its made by DemonFX, not "called a demon". Its called a "Tube Screamer Overdrive Pro TS808 and TS9"
use mae in china guitar and made in china amp

Matt Gilbert ...at that price and those looks it's an instant winner mate, like I say the difference is subtle !!!
OMG, your playing strat at first of your vid ...sooo awsome!!!!!!
I bought one these pedal about 5 years ago. Loved it till it started making loud hissing/gain sounds. Well, I got what I paid for.
I bought one after seeing this demo, awesome.👍👍🎸
When I plug this pedal into my amp it makes a siren noise that is super annoying, any suggestions?
Great work ! Top notch playing.
can you try cheap guitar and cheap amp?
i have one, sweet pedal ^^
After 3 years, how is it functioning?
It would have been nice to see how the TS-9 part sounded. it was basically demoed as a TS808 and many people would be buying this to switch between the two.
He does. Right at the start. "Ts9 mode". Then at 5:00 or therabouts he switches the toggle
I have one, and there's basically no difference, I am not convinced the toggle does anything at all. *Maybe* a slight change in output.
Great demo Shane, sounds like a TS to me ,both ts9 & 808 !
I just picked up one of these and it does what it says on the tin, can't ask or more than that!
More Louder than The Original One Tube- Screamers .. Almost identical Tone to my Ears..
And for $28 not bad. Probably cost less 3 yrs ago but....
I cant hear a difference at all in TS9 to TS808
TS9 Gain 12oclock Tone 2oclock sounds like the sweet spot.
One of the best tones I've heard.
Your reviews are amazing and so is your playing
sounds awesome! if it's not too expensive I'm pretty I'll get one
good stuff Shane
I'm wondering why Ibanez doesn't suit them! omg!.... Tube Screamer name... toggle switch TS808 x TS9... something explain please
It doesn't seem like Tube Screamer is a registered trademark.
@@Eddies_Bra-att-ha-grejer ok got it thx

I don't hear any breakup but he did turn the volume up to 4

+intheblues Yeah I was listening with some cheap headphones, great video Shane!
Great value pedal, can’t tell tell any difference between the modes though. Playing sounds very harsh.
I bought that pedal and I also bought the Crazy Cacti by Caline. The Crazy Cacty is 10 times better.

ok im sold.
This is a tremendous pedal. Lacks some mids but one can work with that. Well worth the money.
Great pedal for $32 dollars. Tubescreamers are the most overrated pedals ever. Boss super overdrive is the onlt od pedal I have ever used..
The TS and SD-1 have almost identical circuit architecture. Just slightly different values at a couple places.
How much
Your playing is marvellous. I was looking for a sound in the ZZ Top style, it seems all right !

SRV ???
It sounds really great indeed! Cheers
What's a good pedal to boost my dirty jtm 45 for solos ... just more a boost with a little more gain was thinking an even booster maybe?
Treble boost
How does this pedal compare to Nux OD-3?
Djordje Batic yeah, i was wondering the same. I have the Nux OD-3 but i was thinking to buy this Demon pedal.
pretty cool but still not as good as the caline orange burst !!
Two totally different pedals mate :-) Both sound great.
Beautiful sound
seems like to much fizzy clicking in the signal even before peaks. can anyone that owns one confirm that its not just the video or mics?
