You could use what ever you like, for this sequence, the only reason to add 1 cue for the whole sequence would be for the audience to be impressed, if your dog finds verbal cues secondary reinforcers and you are allowed to use them I say why not? So for this particular sequence I wont add a beginning cue, but something like "Bedtime!" to cue a dog doing something like going to a blanket rolling in it and then resting their chin, or opening a crate door getting in closing the crate door then laying down, or "Clean up your toys"- and the dog goes and picks up and puts away all toys near toy box. Those are occasions where the viewer is impressed by the single cue, or for like an obedience fetch where you want the dog to get something and bring it then sit with the object in front of you or at your side. Really the single cue is to impress human beings, so if theres music playing or something just cue your dog for every behavior if they find it reinforcing.
@kikopup Thank you Emily! Yes it is for the audience! We do performances at care homes & med facilities. The only chain I trained was Night-Night and it was so long ago (10 yrs!!) that I had forgotten how to make that connection between the chain and the sequence!! Thanks so much! God's Best Blessing, JJ & Miss Ruthie😊🐕🦺🙏✝️💕
Do you mean a name for the whole sequence? Or each trick? I choose names that dont sound similar to eachother and if they do sound similar then I add a tone that sounds different so the words sound more different.
Nobody puts it all together like Emily. I learn things every time I watch a video - including when I re-watch.
awe thanks so much!
I’m so impressed with how attentive Epic is, you can tell she really loves to work with you!
Thanks!
Love this! Thanks for sharing!❤️
Brilliant thanks Emily👍
Thanks Emily!
Hi Emily, this is so fun! What do you use as the initial word to get the whole chain? Thank you and God bless you! JJ & Ruthie😊🐕🦺🙏✝️💕
