"Telekenesis" was called "Telekenetic Kick" as of the day this video was released (Jun 25), and I didn't take it because I assumed it only effected my kick...
It seems I *STILL* got a few of these wrong. I'm reading all of your comments and I don't disagree with some of your points of view. So, thank you for your feedback, and I am taking a bunch of notes for the next video. One of the greatest things about this game is that it can be played so many different ways, and everyone has their own individual point of view, and nobody can say that they're invalid. While I don't play the same way you might, especially since I have such a fondness for Hitless runs, this list is *my* version of the truth. I certainly don't disagree discount your points of view, despite possibly not agreeing with them. Keep the comments coming!
Telekinesis is my new favourite power up, why you ask? Well 1. You can clear a blocked path especially if you cant just dig through it 2. You can use something large as a shield 3. Pulling gold instantly picks it up 4. Throwing rocks or tablets at enemies deals insane damage 5. you can move explosives out of harms way and use them as weapons 6. “no! You can’t just change the gameplay style just to make it easy!” “HAHA FLYING ROCK GO BRRRRRRRRRRRRR”
I remember a run I got telekinesis, unlimited spells and had earthquake on one of my wands.. I was throwing pieces of the ceiling at everything in my way haha
Hey man, if you're interested in giving Boomerang Spells a new beginning you should try what I like to call the "sudo-immortal witch of death", in which you take a circle of whatever and Boomerang Spells and just go to town, because that circle will follow you until it expires. Circle of freeze? Walk up to an enemy and kick em. Circle of transmogrification? Same thing really. Circle of projectile transmutation? Like previous, but better because projectiles can't hurt you and enemies will now fight the new wildlife they created. And the list goes on. I consider this play style the most fun in the game, due to how different it plays. I highly recommend you try it out and then judge it again! For regular spells it's D tier, but for this play style it's worth a B.
Petri / Olli / Arvi (Nolla) .: PLEASE don't listen to McQueeb re: the new 'Trick Blood Money' perk...it's horrid, does NOT need a nerf, and certainly, no one will ever use it or think the heals are over-powered. %¬P (/sarcasm). McQueeb, happy to find you -- stellar content and love the humor and your vibe. Keep on and cheers :)
The most fun combo of spells and perks I've gotten was a distance cast and multicast Bomb wand with and "Damage Field" as Always Cast, coupled with "Homing" + "Unlimited Spells". I could shoot groups bombs onto the other side of walls that would fly towards enemies and kill them before exploding due to the damage field.
I just double checked and you're absolutely right. It seems they've changed it in the last week. Previously it worked exactly the same as Wand Experimenter.
I did a run where I had crazy synergy with enemy radar. Had a rapid fire intense laser gun wand that basically melted a hole through terrain instantly. I could just point towards all the enemies being detected, and with one click (or a few seconds of holding down for tougher enemies) the blip would just disappear. It's a pretty cool "sniper" strategy for no hit runners, you can literally attack hordes of enemies through walls and then swoop in to collect thousands of gold cus there's no enemies on screen to slow you down.
Not sure if anyone needs to hear this, but DO NOT jump in water with an electric wand. That is, unless you like to suddenly see the words Game Over on your screen.
I'm a little annoyed by your placement of perk lottery and melee immunity, since I can't see their placements as correct: First, Perk Lottery. Sure, if I saw an SS spell and Perk Lottery, I would take the SS spell. However, you shouldn't always rate spells based on "would I take spell X over spells in this category". Perk Lottery will give you FREE perks over the course of your run. On average, that's 4 perks (7 mountains, pick it up in first one you can get 7 free perks, pick it up in the last one you might get 1). This doesn't even account for New Game+, where this becomes even better, as you can reroll into another Perk Lottery and then get 3-4 perks on each mountain. I understand seeing an A rank spell and perk lottery and not picking it up for safety, but it simply needs to be picked up for the future, where you might pick up two SS spells. Because this allows me to pick up multiple perks for free, I rate it as the best perk. However, I can see people disagreeing, so I think it should just be in SS. It simply cannot be S, it is able to give you FREE PERKS. Now, Melee Immunity. I'm sorry if I sound very annoyed or butthurt here, but I simply don't understand why, in any capacity, is melee immunity SS. It's not even an S, it is an A at best. First, let's take a look at how many enemies in Noita can damage you with melee. 57 out of 113 (I counted myself, so there may be slight differences). However, most of these also have a ranged attack and because they do, you will not try to approach them. Also, there are many on either the first floor or just way too weak that melee immunity won't affect. So how many enemies become a melee threat? 14 / 113. That is very low. These are: Bat, Large Bat, Shuffling fungus, Spore fungus, Daddy Longlegs (or Lukki), Assasin Robot, Blob, Angry Blob, Skull Rat, Worm, Giant Worm, Death Worm, Hell Worm. Even with this low number, how many have actually been a threat to me in the 200 hours that I've played this game? (for less typing of the same word, I'll call Melee Immunity ""MI") Bat - Easy to deal with if you know how. MI will help for beginners. Large Bat - Fairly rare, so there won't be more than one. Because it sends out bats, you will care about melee from them, but I'll still call that as damage from the Large Bat. Either way, due to how rare it is, you can almost always retreat. Shuffling fungus - Will deal damage if you are not careful, but I can easily dodge and predict them in most situations. MI is good for beginners. Spore fungus - The bigger version. Very rare, but can deal a significant amount of damage. MI is just barely useful. Wasp - Similar to bats but tankier, if you know what to do you'll rarely get hit, Good for intermediate players. Daddy Longlegs or Lukki - They rarely attack you and are often slow enough to get away from. Good for begginers. Assasin Robot - Very rare, but also hard to deal with. MI is good here. Blob - Very annoying especially in large amounts. MI is good here. Angry Blob - The big blobs themselves won't really do damage, its the blobs you need to worry about. Sure, I'll say MI is useful. Skull Rat - The purple things in the temple of the art. Maybe MI is good for just not caring about them, so fine. Worm - Can spook you I'll admit, but it's very rare for that to happen. Sure, MI is good here. Giant Worm - You can hear them coming. Not useful, since they are not hard to dodge. Death Worm - They are much faster, so sure. Hell Worm - Incredibly rare, but fine. Out of all of these enemies, I would say that MI can come in handy for beginners, but I would only think about 4 of these enemies as real threats that can deal damage to me (Blob, Angry Blob, Wasp, Death Worm). I understand that picking up MI is good just to know that you won't be bothered by these guys, but that doesn't really change anything. By the time I reach these stages, the enemies that have melee are too weak or too slow to be dangerous. Because of all of this, I simply amazed that you would put it in SS tier. Sure, for people new to the game it's good, but... I don't get it. Maybe I am missing a crucial enemy here, maybe I am too good at the game, but if a perk only protects from me 4 enemies in the entire game and 13 for most players, simply how is it an SS? I take the same amount of damage from toxic sludge and fire in one run as melee damage in 20 of my runs. I just don't get it, at all. Whew, now that that has been said, I want to say that overall I like your video. Even if I disagree with some perks, it's just by one rank and I can see your perspective on it. I was just really bothered by these two. I was hoping you would maybe change their place from their previous tier list, but no, melee immunity got even higher, somehow. Either way, I did like discussing each perks placement with myself, so this was one of the most engaging youtube videos I've ever seen.
As far as UA-cam comments go, this is top tier. So, I know the flavor text states that it's a 50% chance that it fires and you can pick up another perk... BUT, as far as my experience goes, I've been nothing but unlucky. I know it's 50/50, but it feels more like 90/10 and that's no exaggeration. I've had so many runs where it either doesn't pay out, or only pays out with a couple of other average (or worse, bad) perks. In the first couple of levels, and this is coming from someone who likes to do Hitless runs, as well as longer runs, the "loss" of the other perk is simply not worth it. The reason I think It's S rank is because, yes, when it DOES pay out, it's incredible... and incidentally such a great feeling when it happens, but I guess I'm just not that lucky. It's almost a meme during Twitch streams how unlucky I actually am. Melee immunity I will defend until the day I die. And that's PURELY based on the fact that it will prevent instant kills from being frozen, followed up by being hit with a melee attack. It's the only perk that will prevent that. I know that's a fairly rare way of dying, but being frozen/insta-killed and being polymorphed/hit (especially with your own homing spells lol) can completely end a run with no chance of safety.
Delirium (the phantom spider) also does melee damage and is pretty annoying. Also several enemies do melee damage in addition to other types of damage (fireflies and hiisi for example)
@@McQueeb Well, I really can't say anything about Perk Lottery if that is how you see it. For me, the payout is around 50%, so it is just amazing. Even if I miss an S tier spell I will be able to later on pick up multiple A or B tier spells at worst and multiple SS tier spells at best. From my experience, by not picking up Perk Lottery you simply skip on free perks. I understand wanting to play safely and going with the safe choice, but when I look into the future and see more perks, I have to go with it. It is like an investment, which always pays out for me. Of course, if the chances for you are 90/10 then it is not going to be good. Either way, it ends up being a perk that depends on the person's willingness to gamble for better perks. In my opinion, the risk is worth 90% of the time, in yours it seems to be much less, but I can see your point. As for melee immunity, I don't think I'll be able to change your opinion on it, which is fine, I just wanted a reason for it being up there. I still wouldn't say that being frozen is a good enough reason. If melee immunity is the only thing that helps against being frozen, then: explosion immunity is the only thing that helps against an enemy picking up a nuke wand and shooting it at you breathless is the only thing that helps against you being teleported in a water room surrounded by steel electricity immunities are the only things that help against being electorcuted and then killed while stunned I understand that your situations are more frequent than these random ones, but still, melee immunity is too situational to be SS tier. By only giving reasons of polymorphine and being frozen, I simply cannot see it as SS tier. The whole "being polymorphed/hit" is also prevented with More Love. I will admit that being frozen is only prevented with melee immunity, but it's too specific of a situation and I can't even remember any moment where I got frozen and was then killed by melee, but that's not a real argument. Anyway, thanks for responding.
@@patu8010 Thanks, I definetly forgot to mention Delirium, which is weird since it is the best frequent use of Melee Immunity. Though it makes me relax more when I realise I don't have to care about him, he's too slow to do really do anything anyway. Fireflies is also not a melee threat enemy, because once they see you, they stop and shoot. Unless you go around a corner right into them, that won't matter. As for hisii, I mentioned that there are enemies with ranged attacks also, so you will be dodging those. By getting close, you make yourself easier to hit with ranged attacks, so you won't approach them and therefore, not get with melee.
@@Rock6Sixes Your post is great and well-done, excellent work & kudos. I dig M.I. easily just for the pleasure of hearing Houre (Delirium ... "phantom spider") frantically (and uselessly) doing its scritching-melee-grind against me whilst I hunt down its crystal spawner and smile. That is, assuming all the other non-melee-dealing denizens around it also seeking my life-blood have already been dispatched. :)
i have to say later game, no shuffle is a BLESSING because all the wants with a high capacity and good stats all have shuffle, so it's better for finding a great wand in places like the Vault and Temple of the Art, where you have a big wand layout that you just need capacity or a good mana recharge for. i find myself at that point a lot but any time i have no shuffle i never need to be at that point
So, while I still don't like having homing from the inception of a projectile (especially when things like black holes are concerned), now that physical objects like bombs can be homing, combined with Unlimited Spells, or a nice slow moving projectile like Bubble Spark, it's an incredible upgrade. I previously thought it was bad because of the fact that my shots became more inaccurate, it's awfully fun with the right build ;)
I have seen the boss instakill someone with that before. His gravity shield followed immediately by a repulsion blast. Lethal. Not sure if it was a bug or unintended, but I generally don't take it. Ooohh, and Swappers can be REALLY bad with that too!
hey, nice video but you should put the original perk list video in your description. A lot of these you say "it stays right where it is" but don't explain why much. I had to go back and look for the original. Anyway good vid.
Am I the only one who got offended by what he said about enemy radar users? ("Offended" in a funny way, of course. He can pretty much say anything about us lol). I mean, as I tread carefully not to get a "surprise motherfucker" death, I seem to be always relying on radar to help me take care and be prepared on unexplored areas. It helps me with the "shoot first, ask later" way, since i can see the dot and shoot at that direction before going there. I feel like that perk saved my life several times. Anyway, cool video, bro! Thnaks for the dedication!
Hey Marcus. Yeah, it's one of those ones that I personally don't rate highly simply because I barely use it. There's so many *other* perks that would be far more beneficial in any given scenario. I think I mentioned that "it wasn't bad" in the video, but if you think I rated it unfairly, then this is good info for the next video (which may need to be made sooner rather than later lol... many people seem to take issue with *something* I had to say)
Follow up comment: I should probably consider it more often on Hitless runs, because damage avoidance is SO important. Mind you, when I'm going for a Hitless run, my attention is so focused on the "bigger picture" stuff, and it just adds to screen noise.
@@McQueeb I'm a guy who play games and beat them the hardcore way. And here I am at Noita, with almost 200 deaths where less than 5 times I got into Hiisi base. ... and them here comes you talking about "hitless runs". I feel so bad about myself right now lol. Thanks for the answer!
@@marcusbighouse So, it took me about 300 runs to get my first win. This is VERY normal. A lot of players hit a barrier and stop playing because it's not an easy game, and there's no permanent upgrades. This doesn't sound like you though, so I implore you to stick with it. There's a few tricks to wand building I would recommend watching, especially "spell wrapping" with chainsaws. Also, explore the first couple of levels to set yourself up for the following stages. And believe it or not, hitless runs are an incredible way to build skill during each enemy encounter. And the less you get hit, the more you can explore (more wands/gold/etc) and the less you need to get Health Ups and can save them for later. I'm over 900 hours in so far :| It sounds like you already know a lot about the game, but if you ever have questions, feel free to stop by and say hello during a stream, or drop me a Tweet!

Homing and circle of vigour.... you dont want to notice how bad of an idea it is when you are fighting the boss.... Luckily i managed to kill the boss, but it really scared me since it was my first win as well.
It's amazing. And currently available for $13.50 in the Steam Summer Sale! You won't be disappointed, I promise. The physics/graphics are really impressive, but I definitely think the standout feature is definitely the wand editing system. Being able to customize your wands lets you create some insane loadouts!
THis guy thinks heal projectile will heal him... ever... lol. It says in the description it hits everything BUT YOU. I'm a little annoyed by your placement of perk lottery and melee immunity, since I can't see their placements as correct:
First, Perk Lottery.

New 1.0 tier list when? ❤
And don't forget to move up 'levitation trail' becaus it works with 'homing shoot' even thru walls.
If you have "no wand editing" and "edit wand everywhere" you can edit wands at holy mountain.
Yep, I recently found this out! There's a few things I got wrong due to changes made in the week prior, but I appreciate the feedback! Thanks :)
The best combo
8:41 but why you move "homing" to S tier? It still moves death cross to your face, tho.
I killed the boss for the first time today, and I was jumping in the portal but missed and fell in the lava to my death.
NO!! I've been there :(
@@McQueeb yeah, but I'm learning stuff and hopefully I'll get another oppurtunity to fight it really soon!
Spell tier list when?
As of now the Levitation Trail works with Homing Shots which goes through walls, it’s amazing!
Hey, is there any chance you will make a new video with 1.0 perks?
Definitely considering it. They keep adding new stuff, even after the game's officially out. I'll start taking some notes!
now do a spell tierlist!
wand radar works really well with lightning bolt.
I'm over 900 hours in so far :|
It sounds like you already know a lot about the game, but if you ever have questions, feel free to stop by and say hello during a stream, or drop me a Tweet!
@@McQueeb I was a huge fan of terraria. Played a lot. What I miss most from the old terrarian days is the feeling of immersive in a world FULL of secrets. And Noita has that! I'm avoiding to read about stuff so I can discover all by myself. Noita is indeed an increadible game.
great vid dude
Appreciated, thanks!
Homing and circle of vigour.... you dont want to notice how bad of an idea it is when you are fighting the boss....
Luckily i managed to kill the boss, but it really scared me since it was my first win as well.
just found this game and i'm super impressed. i wish the magic in spellbreak battle royale worked more like this game.
It's amazing. And currently available for $13.50 in the Steam Summer Sale! You won't be disappointed, I promise. The physics/graphics are really impressive, but I definitely think the standout feature is definitely the wand editing system. Being able to customize your wands lets you create some insane loadouts!
I watched this at 1.75 speed and it still felt like it took too long. Got some decent info though.
just pop in to say nice one marking this as outdated
I like to think the one dislike is DunkorSlam
Nice Beard!
Appreciated :D
UPDATE 11/13/20
We've published a brand new perk tier list video covering all the new perks in Noita 1.0!
ua-cam.com/video/dAUdsqPEU48/v-deo.html
I can't tell if you're American or Australian
"SS Ranking" *Hitler wants to know your location*
THis guy thinks heal projectile will heal him... ever... lol. It says in the description it hits everything BUT YOU. Even if you have the penetrating hit spell before it, it doesnt heal you it actually kills you. Also revenge explosion doesnt hurt you at all, lots of things you got wrong here. Revenge explosion is amazing with glass cannon cause if ANYTHING hits you and is in LOS, it's now dead along with everything else in LOS.
Keep in mind the video is 4 months old, things have changed in updates :)
put the tier list in the description, im not watching this.
29:40
Always cast Black Hole
SS? uh oh oh no
New tier please!
I can’t trust this list, plague rats isn’t SSS tier!
Homing S rank? It's complete shit. C rank easily, maybe D rank.
i saw your other ranking, but am not a regular viewer of your content...I don't recall you playing with your face cam size and placement so much. It is rather annoying.
Thanks for the feedback man! Still sorting out a format that works, but this is helpful. Thanks again.
@@McQueeb I would agree with him, no need to take time to do those edits ;)
Still, I found the video very usefull as i'm still very bad a the game.
Cheers
@@DaLoopDiggerz I have an editor and we are trying out new stuff--trying to create really fun and entertaining content. I've spoken to him about these comments and we're going to try some different stuff. I genuinely appreciate the feedback, it means a lot that someone would give their time to provide critique!
just found this game and i'm super impressed. i wish the magic in spellbreak battle royale worked more like this game.
Prepare to lose part of your life to it...I'm just over 300 hours and still absolutely in love :)
Completely agree with this statement. I've dedicated a huge amount of time and it just keeps getting better!
