Make a video on the best sites to sell photography works based on your experience, how you make a living as a professional. I can't wait. Lol. Thank you ✨
Pat, have read Toyota Kata (kata meaning "routine")? It is a book based on process based business success. You might also value Theory of Constraints (The Goal is the extended story version of the concepts). Toyota Kata provides the how methodology, but Theory of constraints provides the what that needs the current focus. The principles can be applied to pretty much any facet of life, be it business or personal.
Vids that break down parts of these 4 habits and specifics on a part of your 5 areas. Am so interested in your approach because it’s not purely technical. Meaning is important.
You have become one of "my persons of the year". You are amazingly good at what you do, and your communication skills and humor make anyone's learning experience better. I am so glad and thankful you were put on my path to becoming a better version of myself. 💛
I appreciate that this is one of the few photography channels that doesn't go at a million miles an hour. Thank you for speaking slower and clearly! Most channels seem to think that high words per minute is effective...it's hard to follow and feels like an auction!
I literally stopped the video at the 27 photo mark, went down the street to the local college at sunset and took a bunch of photos focusing on lines and reflections. So thank you!
Make a video on camera skills. Continuous AF. White balance in different conditions. Metering types. Neophytes like me need these for basic use. THANKS. what insightful video, this one!!!
Pat has helped me so much since watching his videos. I was very sick and Pat helped me out with his content. I can’t afford his classes unfortunately but what I get from his honest education is so amazing. I am so proud of you!
I stumbled upon your video and I cannot get enough. You’re so well versed in photography. I LOVE your videos. Informational and creative. The flow makes me want to keep watching without disruption. Thank you for putting your work out there it’s so inspirational. I’m going to challenge myself to take 28 intentionally made images a day. You have a new fan.
Please keep posting! I think getting to where you are stylistically in 4 years is very inspirational! I love the content! Just goes to show how much thought and deliberation it takes to create your own unique aesthetic.
Love From Pakistan ...i learn Many thing from your channel free of cost and now i am earning in pakistan just because of you thanks buddy ...thanks thanks love you
You're such a great teacher. I appreciate you describing things with patience and grace rather than coming from a place of gatekeeping & exclusivity. 🙏 Thank you!
17:00 - I love it. Anime is definitely underrated as a method for storytelling. Taking that stylistic approach to photography is something I hadn't even thought about. Very awesome. Also - 17:18 totally reminds me of an Ilya Kuvshinov style drawing. LOVE IT.
Thanks so much, Pat. You bring perspectives that aren't articulated much from other photographers. And you do go DEEP. Personally, I thrive on teachers with depth. Love your style...keep 'em coming. :)
Hey dude.! Make a video on your experiences as a travel photographer and some tips for someone who is new to travel photography and want to do it full time..!
This is an underrated video. Straight forward advice that’s both highly applicable to anyone holding a camera, and measurable. If you only choose one habit from this list your photography will improve. Follow all four and your photos will begin to take on a life of their own 🥳 Great video 🙌
I like the structure you are giving to learning photography. It organizes the vast information available throughout the internet, into specific areas. That is really helpful for someone that has no idea what is available for learning and needs some guidelines without getting overwhelmed
This video was great, especially because I took my camera with me today when I went out with a friend and took almost exactly 27 pictures (28). I felt like it was the perfect amount, and then I saw this video. Synchronicity. I hope to keep up with doing that daily for the next year. 🙏🏽💖
Literally the second time I’ve come here and it’s so nice to see how much farther I’ve come since the first time I watched this. And I still feel there’s so much to learn and think about… this is so informative, thought provoking, and inspiring
I go out most days and take nature photography. Typically take 200 or 300 shots every day but end up deleting 90% and I only keep the good ones. I then post 5 to 10 photos to friends and family. Over the past year I can see dramatic improvement.
I'm Chinese.I really like your video and give me a big help .I have learned the shooting skills and exercises my english listenning .you already know that my english is not good😅.so Thank you very much
I like that, it's encouraging, and it reminded me to improve on the photos of dust partials in a beam of sunlight coming through a gap at a certain time of morning, done 🙂, thank you
This might be the best video I’ve seen !!!! I had to subscribe. These habits are fabulous, I’m such a Habit kinda gal, so thank you! This is the only video I’ve found of anyone discussing Daily Habits for photographers to develop. If you have annnnyyyy more habits to share, I would LOVE another video (I’m sure others would too😆😆😆) Thanks for such a fantastic video!
This is right on time for me personally . I’ve sort of hit a wall, and my drive is not as strong as it was initially . Thank you for taking the time to make and post this video .
Blast! I will have to watch this at least twice more before I absorb this. I am now retired so I have no excuses not to put these concepts to use. Great video.
Thank you for posting this video, it's timeless and still helpful to a beginner in photography! After 2yrs of pandemic my life flow changed a lot, and what keeps on coming back is my desire to create, capture and cherish. So I borrowed a dslr a few months ago and in May bought myself a Mother's day gift haha. The Canon RP is going with me where ever I go, and this video is making me eager to practice with purpose.
Great video, thanks. Howeveer, I think there's something missing from your 5 skills that a lot of photographers struggle with - editing / making selects. I feel it's incredibly important for developing one's ability to tell a story well and goes well beyond the individual strong image.
Hey Pat. Damn. Just found your channel a couple days ago and wow. I can't thank you enough for your really straightforward discussion and VERY helpful thoughts and opinions about the photographic/creative process. The color calibration video kinda blew my mind and forced me to reconsider... well basically my entire editing process. Not sure where it will land but I can't thank you enough for opening my eyes just a bit more. Love this channel, thanks for putting it and yourself out there. Cheers
Very inspirational video, that not only throughs buzzwords at you but also dives deeper into the subject and explains the WHY very well. Thanks a lot Pat!
I definitely need to start something similar to the 27 a day. Lack of discipline and constant skill-building is something that has kept me at amateur level in all of my endeavours. I think this has been the most useful advice I've recently received regarding furthering my photography skills. And for a second, I thought 27 was chosen because it's close to the 36 shots of a roll of 35mm film. 😅 Either way, great advice
Very inspiring video. Please keep the recap section at the end for future videos! It's very helpful to repeat the bullet points of the video and to have a quick summary if I want to go back to the video in the future 👍🏻
I’ve watched many of your videos now over the last two weeks Pat, and your style, technique, and information are very thoughtful and valuable to your viewers. I’ve subscribed to your channel and look forward to catching up on what you’ve published and to what you continue to create. Great job, please keep it up!. Very inspirational…😊. Cheers!
Thank you so much man, I never see videos of 20 min, but this one something told me it was worth it... and yep it was, it lefted me really uplift and inspired... thank you so much
Pat. This is the first video of yours I stumbled upon. However, I can not tell you how vastly this video spoke to me. I'm at a turning point in my photography and was literally yesterday trying to design habits around how to improve. I love your insight, the scope of your approach, and the universal applicableness any photographer could adopt with these 4 habits. Plus, you're a phenomenal teacher and endearing to watch. Subscribed AF and look forward to watching all your content. THANK YOU!
I'm sure I'm not the first to say this! but I'm going to say it anyway! YOU ARE GENIOUS in your profession! You just inspired me to keep digging deeper on a daily basis with my photography and invoked a new passion into what I am doing!
*Pat:* Here's a video about simple habits!
*Also Pat:* *_*makes the video 20 minutes long*_*
🤦♂️
What do you want to see next?
Make a video on the best sites to sell photography works based on your experience, how you make a living as a professional. I can't wait. Lol. Thank you ✨
I like the first two videos you made about skills. I'd like to see more of them.

"Expose yourself to inspiration every day" this is literally me while watching this video
Pat is one of the most amazing photographers that teach photography without touching the camera. It is a weekly joy.
Same same
@@Jackbrsp isnt it insane?
Indeed
I appreciate that this is one of the few photography channels that doesn't go at a million miles an hour. Thank you for speaking slower and clearly! Most channels seem to think that high words per minute is effective...it's hard to follow and feels like an auction!
I wish youtube can convert what your saying to an audio podcast. I would love to listen to this during work
Seriously, how are you SO good at teaching and explaining things so clearly and concisely. These videos are incredible
I literally stopped the video at the 27 photo mark, went down the street to the local college at sunset and took a bunch of photos focusing on lines and reflections. So thank you!
Bro the presentation style is SO CLEAN wowow
Appreciate it!
Clean video dude! Keep up the good work
I've probably been averaging 27 images per week over the last year. Seeing the slow progress is turning out to be very rewarding.
Make a video on camera skills. Continuous AF. White balance in different conditions. Metering types. Neophytes like me need these for basic use. THANKS. what insightful video, this one!!!

Informative and articulate as always 😊 Ooooh and yessss I like that white textured image you used to put text over 👌🏼
hehehe fanx! subtlety 👌
Please keep posting! I think getting to where you are stylistically in 4 years is very inspirational! I love the content! Just goes to show how much thought and deliberation it takes to create your own unique aesthetic.
it's definitely a hard, long road, but it's very much worth it in the end =) thanks for the support!

This is my favourite video by you. You are a good teacher...very very good. I hope you do teaching when you retire.
such an underrated channel. hands down best source of getting information needed to acquire specific skill. keep up the good work.
You are such a good teacher! I usually get bored easily watching tutorials but I like listening. to you! Thank you!
You're such a great teacher. I appreciate you describing things with patience and grace rather than coming from a place of gatekeeping & exclusivity. 🙏 Thank you!
Craft, Vision, Art, Gear, Post Processing. This will help me improve tremendously. Thank you.
So very insightful. Even as an experienced (probably mid) photographer, I found this video to be a treasure.
I had to stop the video to say Thank you. You're a really good and qualified professional. Your content is clear and useful. 10/10
