Hello Mira. I was so honored to help you. My hubby (Daniel) was having fun. Doing hard work like this is from having the family farm. With rain.... We had no issue with that really. It was a great cool day for yard work. LOL No hot sun making it a sweaty experience. In Utah, Don't like the weather? Give it 15 minutes! I hope you can enjoy the wonderful shade and the pups can run free It is a great wide open ZOOMIES freedom. Ha HA! Mira hit me up on the weed and feed. I can come out for that and spread it for ya. I love to do yard work! I know there is something wrong with me. LOL
Thanksgiving for your help you two! I love in a very gray, cold and rainy city, and inhabitants say that’s just because the city and people are so wonderful, if it also had great weather EVERYBODY would want to live here and that pushes rents to high 😂 We say it’s summer when the rain gets warm, the weather is great if you only get wet from one side and anyways is it called liquid sunshine 😬
Keep up all your wonderful progress. What wonderful people to help you and how great the city has the dumpster program. I understand how you feel wanting to do it all yourself. I've recently gone through a grief episode after my mothers death. It's hard to motivate ourselves when were in a deep depresion. You've inspired me as I also declutter with you. We also chop up our prunings to fit more in the yard debri bins. Blessings.
I just wanted to say, Bonnie might be your superhero, but you are our superhero. You are so wonderful at so many things that honestly need more representation. 1) you ask for and 2) accept help. 3) you honor your body and mind by responding to your needs for rest. 4) you persevere in spite of seemingly insurmountable odds. 5) you inspire other simply by being yourself. My ADHD tells me that if I have to do something, I have to do everything, and watching you take small steps to achieve huge results is so inspiring to me, and helps me break down my all-or-nothing mindset and realize that progress is progress no matter how small. I just appreciate you and your channel so so much. Thank you.
I do the same. I work a little and then need to rest a little. Everything is getting done, just at a different pace...and that is okay!!! I've gotten more done this way because I am not putting myself down for being slower. I'm happy with my progress. You should be very pleased with all that you have accomplished!!
Mira i love that you're sharing your journey of caring for yourself and your home with us. It motivates me to be more mindful of my space and giving myself permission to tidy up. Caring for your home IS caring for yourself. Colt is all kinds of personality! Clay just goes with the flow.
Asking for help is so hard! I did go over to my neighbor this morning when I saw him out and ask if he had something to cut down this nuisance sapling that started coming up several years ago. It was beyond my capability with my little handsaw and it was starting to grow into his power line. He said he’d been meaning to ask me about it (because of the power line) and he could absolutely take care of it and what about some of the other saplings that are coming up in random spots? So we ended up walking around and marking them and he came over later and took them all down. It’s nice to have awesome neighbors ☺️
We also help our neighbors a ton too. I figured what is a good neighbor to do. Some of our neighbors don't have the tools and we are so kind to assist. I have a single mom across the street and she has 2 jobs to make ends meet. Having a kind heart make the world a better place.
I'm just finishing up my voice over on mine and I'm glad I got to see your video before I finish up because I will go back and add a couple of things that I had wondered about. I'm glad you got footage of the work Lisa and Daniel did because I didn't get very much of that footage. It's always a pleasure to help you! I'm happy we got an entire dumpster removed from your home.❤❤❤ Love you, lady!
Thank you for being you, Mira! I learned about you from Bonnie's channel and you have inspired me to continue decluttering. Watching your journey and hearing you say, "It's okay if you don't finish, it's okay to take a break" has helped me. Thank you.
Wow! I just want to add that keeping the AC unit free of clutter and any other debris nearby will give you the very best air flow and possibly keep from breaking down.. the fan itself needs to circulate. Great job Mira. I would suggest in getting a leaf blower and when clutter, leaves etc collect then just blow that towards the fence line, keeping the patio free of collecting leaves. ( I know you have allergies). Maybe someone can do for you. 😊
This was amazing, what a gret joint effort - LOVE!! GJ all ♥ As a fellow asthma-allergic, the best advice I can give you is to look into getting a clover lawn sown instead of grass. It has very little time of year with allergy potantial it's less, almost no maintenance, it's drought-friendly, heat-tolerant, and eco-forward alternative to turf lawns - You'd be able to enjoy your garden and also not waste 3-400USD on sprinklers for keeping your garden green. I have not looked back and highly recommend it ♥♥♥
😁🎉👍WOW!!! Congratulations Mira! That is a huge makeover! The whole yard looks amazing after the "haircut" and leafs gone. You can sit and enjoy your fur babies run around and play in all that open space! Great job on staying up late and being the 1st to secure that dumpster. You may not have been able to do much physically but without that first step of getting a dumpster the rest would not have happened. And to have 4 people that are SO KIND to help you is truly a blessing! I'm so happy for you! You and your fur babies deserve it! ❤️👍🐾🐕💟🦋
We are 77 and 74. Our 47 yr old disabled daughter lives with us. I have small wastebaskets, small bins, and small buckets. My laundry basket is smaller. I just clean small areas at a time. We're in a 2BR apartment, so no stairs. Make cleaning easier on yourself. More often, just smaller areas at a time. Tina, Al's wife
I've learned to accept help. I've noticed that when I help others, at the end of the day I will tell my husband about it and he will think I'm awesome and then I feel awesome. So now I always think about that type of conversation the helper will have with someone. Remember that people who want to help feel good about it so actually you are helping them feel awesome!
"My air conditioning is working again" is possibly the best part of this video. I mean, all of it is great and cheers to Bonny and Lisa and Lisa's husband! Your dogs look well groomed! And go you with the kitchen!
Dear mira i've been following a hoarder's heart since her early days with the mask and dark glasses, today i just watched her do an extreme decluttering. It didn't take long, a mere four or so years ago. Don't worry girl. Keep at it even a little bit. You'll get there too. Pretty certain i'll here you talk about the boys playing in the backyard as you do your scrapbooking in spring sometime.
Zoom! (white streak) Zoom! (black streak). I love those two puppies and their curiosity. 😊😊😊😊. I was watching Mack from Midwest Magic a few days ago. He said when he and his helpers are clearing out a house, they always work maybe 20 minutes, then rest a few minutes. Otherwise they wear themselves out very quickly,
My rescue used to hoard food as well for the first couple of years that we had her. She doesn't do it anymore but she WILL hide random objects of ours in her bed if we are away from the house for too long during the day. It's kinda sweet because I think it's her wanting to have something that smells strongly of us 😭❤
Congratulations to you for asking for help!! At 67, I have to do the same thing. I have a super neighbor that helps me all the time. I try to do what I can (with MANY BREAKS) and he is always ready to help me finish what I’ve started. Just love watching your boys running around and supervising your jobs!! Take care Mira❤
I’m so glad that you reclaimed your patio space. Please keep doing your self care and taking things at your own speed so you can get your groove back. I am looking forward to the day when you and Bonnie can tackle Mt. Doom.
Wow...that amazing transition is exactly what gives hope to people who have pretty well given up believing they can ever change their environments for the better. It is very helpful that you regularly emphasize how decluttering & organizing are not overnight processes, or even a uniformably paced one. Your candor in ackowledging that it sometimes takes several runs at a location to fully determne what stays and what goes, and also that once improvements are made there will have to be ongoing maintenance to prevent backsliding, definitely helps to prevent the undeserved sense of failure for those who initially thought that this could be a finite, one time project. I find your home, your lifestyle and your philosophy extremely real and relatable which is a breath of fresh air amongst a huge number of other well meaning decluttering/organizing channels.
Glad you've now got space on your patio to enjoy. You have such wonderful people around to help you too, so I'm so pleased these things are getting done that you just wouldn't be able to do yourself. You're moving along Mira and it's wonderful to see. I think the dogs are pretty impressed too x
Wow this is an absolutely incredible transformation! I can't imagine how amazing it must feel to have all that cleared out. I think it's really, really wonderful that you were able to accept help for all this. Community care is so important and everyone deserves it regardless of their functional capacity ♡ Huge love to you and to Bonnie, her son, Lisa and her husband for all their incredible hard work!! ♡
Mira, you work like my mother used to work. My sister and I shared her staying with us, a couple of months at a time. She would peg washing on the line, 1 item at a time, make a bed and rest in between catching her breath. I do miss her. Best wishes from Devon UK
Slow but steady wins the race Mira. I’m so happy for you. I saw your video and Bonnie’s version. Wow! So nice to see the progress! 😮😮😮 My yard had become a jungle too. I don’t have allergies, but I’m 60 and single and work full time and overtime. I hired someone to clean up my yard. I need to work on asking for help. I’m sincerely happy that you got help! 😊. Now for the inside of my house. I’ll keep watching you for inspiration. Hugs. ❤
Amazing people attract amazing people. I hope the new outdoor areas will make you feel so relaxed. I’m glad you took that scary leap of contacting Bonnie many moons ago. 💖
10:33 Hi Mira! I just had to say that it was thanks to you I realized I could get a dustpan on a long handle, and it's made sweeping so much easier...which means I actually do it now! (I have rheumatoid arthritis and stooping down with a normal dustpan was miserable.) You inspire in so many ways, both emotional and practical!
Great idea staying up til midnite to claim that free dumpster! I've never made much money in a yard sale for all the effort put in. The pups are definitely excited about all the activity!
Sometimes it is hard for some. They have embarrassment about asking. I hope this shows never to be afraid to ask. People like us are always ready to lend a helping hand.
@@lisathurston8265 of course! I am saying when someone offers to help you. Say yes. To say no can rob someone the joy of helping. Sometimes our natural inclination is to not to say yes because of embarrassment or not to inconvenience someone. However, it may bring joy to that person to help.
Hi Mira, I have just started watching your channel and I am so proud of you for what you have achieved. It takes a lot of courage to do what you are doing. I hope that doing this will become your life’s dream. Keep smiling and stay positive. You will be helping so many people without even realising it. ❤❤
So satisfying watching that dumpster get picked up and taken away! Well done, Mira and helpers. What a difference! And so good to have the trees trimmed too! I hope you are getting to spend a bit of time outdoors to enjoy your yard if your allergies allow. Last time you mentioned mindless tasks and I reflected on that and decided my favourite mindless task is sweeping leaves...I do it with a wee brush and shovel like you have and just take my time. I don't even think about the results I just sweep lol...Your two boys must have been quite tired after inspecting everything all day! Have a lovely rest of your weekend and I'm glad you're going out with a friend xx
Wow, another space decluttered and amazing amount of work from everyone! I was so glad to see this video uploaded - not only because I enjoy your series and M understanding a hoarder family member a little better, but because I’ve been thinking about you all week after your last video and you mentioning you were going through a rough patch. My father passed a couple of years ago, and my then manager (who has also lost her dad recently) mentioned the phrase “ambush emotions”. She would be doing so right, then a favorite song would come in, or a memory would pop up, and she’d be ambushed. One way or another, it was nice hearing from you and hearing the laugh in your voice again. Still thinking of you.
If you’re ac is freezing up, that means the coils need cleaning. You can buy the cleaner and clean it yourself. Since you’re doing so much cleaning you may need to change your filters more often.
Hi Mira! First video to see of yours-Bonnie sent me here❤I loved watching her videos of your home and the doggies (precious) I am so proud of you. I'm on my own journey to get clutter free and it is hard without any help at all. You are my encouragement to get it done! Thank you.
What a difference. Looks great! That is a great idea for the city to lend out dumpsters. Those little supervisors did good. They are so cute. LMAO At the monkey.
You must of felt so good after this was done what a great job everyone did! Mira you are doing it leaps & bounds inspiring many people to clean out the clutter! I am sure with the nice weather you will enjoy sitting out there enjoying the dogs play. We hired a dumpster 2 years i love that all the crap is gone & not coming back feels so good! As we age its not going to get easier on us.
Oh my! I just watched Bonnie’s video. My goodness the transformation! The chest you have is stunning! Quite a work of art! My son is into woodworking and is currently building the cabinets that are going into my kitchen this week (sitting here in shock that it’s happening). I appreciate the labor that went into making that chest. ❤
Watching that dumpster load leave is so satisfying. You all did amazing work! The patio really speaks to keeping things in excess we hope to use, but wind up being useful to almost no one. Peeling down to what's best, most useful and fitting, and makes us content in our spaces can do so much. Keep on keeping on, Team Peeling Away
Wow what a great blessing for the free dumpster and all of the help from Bonnie's family and Lisa's. Now that the yard is under control you'll be able to hire a regular lawn service for upkeep. You've come so far.
Oh I just saw this video and you are mentioning Bonnie I've been watching her channel starting at her oldest videos I haven't got to her new ones I just love her I just subscribed to your channel now too
My favorite thing to do is sit out on my back deck, have a cup of coffee, eat breakfast, enjoy my yard and watch the birds dive bomb the pool. When the yard is freshly mowed, I love watching the dogs run through it. ❤
I enjoy my apartment balcony that has 2 chairs, dog safe plants and that cup of coffee and birds chirping and my dog laying by my feet enjoying the peaceful sounds
Love this!❤ I’m slowly going through my things & celebrating ditching a worn out sheet set because it makes room for new. Or using things up & then replacing with only ONE. Even consolidating my porch plants in a few BIG planters so I have room to walk & sweep so it cut down on clutter. Love getting inspired watching. Even got up & washed all my travel mugs because their new place in the pantry was waiting & my eyes are getting used to the peace of empty counters ❤
They got done so much! Great job for letting people come in your space and help you! And great job with staying up late to get that dumpster. This is so awesome!
Mira so glad you were able to get a dumpster. Your finished patio looks great. One suggestion regarding any decor. Remember decor needs to be dusted. So consider only having a couple of large pots that get rainwater with flowers. Best wishes. So sad when our bookcases don't fit. But better to get rid of items that do not work for you. Please don't feel sad about the extra going to landfill. If they were not serving you best to get rid of them. So much fun to see your dogs enjoy the process!!!
I love that, your yard got a "taming" 😂 I'm so happy you accepted this help, you deserve it! I know many of is who live far away would love to help you but can't due to distance, so I love seeing you get that help from someone near. Also I too am allergic to life! It's rough for sure. Basically I feel like death 3 months of the year 😅 people wonder why I love winter - it's because everything is dead! Haha
I relate so much to you and your issues n allergies as well. Maybe when you are lonely, you could go visit the nursing home. Many lonely folks in these places n sadly sometimes they are forgotten by their families. I use to work in couple of em. So much wisdom with stories from the older ones. ❤️🥰 if only we lived closer I’d enjoy hanging out with you and helping you as well. Yes I take many breaks. lol mild copd. Mainly if I’m leaning over. Oh well I’m learning to deal with it. Many chemicals I worked with housekeeping thirty years ago raising my two as a single mama. Smh 🤦♀️ no child support. Glad that issue has been solved. lol 🤫😂❤️❤️❤️
Mira, your patio is so pretty & lovely! You have a great covered area you can enjoy! ❤I am so happy for you! Bonnie is simply the best & so happy she helped you! 🎉
What a blessing to have help with your yard like that! I'm on the process of selling my house right now and a huge factor in that decision was knowing that I am not in good enough health to properly take care of my yard and don't have the means to hire someone else to do it. I'm so glad you've found friends who are willing and able to do some of that heavy lifting!
I'm with you on the allergies and the aversion to hot weather. I'm worthless above 80°F. I almost had a heat stroke once, and I never want to go through that again! Temps in the 50s and 60s are my sweet spot for outdoor work, so I love early spring (before the trees start pollinating) and late fall.
What timing, I'm a few videos behind because we also got a city rubbish collection, it was huge and so good for it to go. Its hard work getting rid of thise big itens, I'm so happy you had help from Bonnie and her son and Lisa and her husband.
It's possible, that if the grass is cut short, once a week or once every two weeks, that it won't produce the allergens that trigger your hayfever. Give it 24 hours to settle after it's cut each time, and then you might be able to enjoy your patio for longer periods. Just a thought. Congratulations to all of you on the huge tidy-up and declutter.
Hi Mira. I toss, recycle, give away, or occasionally sell 20 or more items each day. Three (3)of us live in a 2BR apartment. My daughter is disabled. I store plastic containers with the tops on. We have small wastebaskets because we empty them every day. Our cat, Spot, hides toys in peculiar places. He was rescued from an animal hoarder. Tina, Al's wife
I love how Bonnie is forever talking with her hands! Loved this collab! Your dogs are on point with keeping track. 🙂

Have a safe flight and can't wait till you both post more shenanigans' you and Mack get into LOL

I don't know what it is about tree trimming, but I could watch people do that all day long.
I personally have 1 tree in my yard. Its a Japanese Pear apple Tree. I wish to plant more. I am working a vegetable garden and rose garden too.
😁🎉👍WOW!!! Congratulations Mira! That is a huge makeover! The whole yard looks amazing after the "haircut" and leafs gone. @ahhh7652 I'm going to suggest you go back and watch her videos from the beginning. Please educate yourself before leaving a disrespectful comment.
I’m so glad you decided to reach out to Bonney that day. ❤

I'm a certified arborist. For the most part, you can prune trees any time of year. ❤
Your doing WONDERFUL😮🎉😮
Glad you've now got space on your patio to enjoy. You have such wonderful people around to help you too, so I'm so pleased these things are getting done that you just wouldn't be able to do yourself.

@@lisathurston8265 of course! I am saying when someone offers to help you. Say yes. To say no can rob someone the joy of helping. Sometimes our natural inclination is to not to say yes because of embarrassment or not to inconvenience someone. However, it may bring joy to that person to help.
❤❤❤
Good job getting your spot with the dumpster! Lisa and Bonnie are Angels 😇
Everyone did a great job clearing the deck and the yard. Nice video Mira. ❤
I absolutely love Bonnie!!! She is amazing!! Love her channel 🥰🤩
Something I have taught my kids is, "the answer is ALWAYS no if you dont ask"
Thank you.
Welcome! So glad you're here!
Tee quotes "Time ...who knows what it is" and "I'm allergic to all of life" I did get both! Love the channel. And Stampin Up.
The patio looks so much better, it would make a nice little area to relax in with a cup of tea. ❤
what a really great clean out of the patio! So nice also to get your yard back from all the sticks and branches. The pups will like all that room!
Great job everyone! Mira, so proud of you for letting go of all that clutter. Hopefully you and the pups can enjoy your new found space!
Loved your laugh and good spirits. Happy Bonnie and family helped you too. Love watching your fur babies. Beautiful day and enjoy many more.💖
What a difference. Looks great! That is a great idea for the city to lend out dumpsters. Those little supervisors did good. They are so cute. LMAO At the monkey.
Wow. So awesome to have such great people to help you ❤ so much accomplished 😊 the trees and patio look great
You've come a long way Mira. It was so awesome that Bonnie's son came to help as well.
17:00 precisely because of your inner voice you deserve help, support and understanding ❤
I'm so very HAPPY for you that you got the dumpster, Bonnie and all her crew to help you. WE LOVE, LOVE, LOVE YOU. Mira!!!
Thank you so much!
Yay! You are making so much progress!
Wow what a great blessing for the free dumpster and all of the help from Bonnie's family and Lisa's. Now that the yard is under control you'll be able to hire a regular lawn service for upkeep. You've come so far.
Oh I just saw this video and you are mentioning Bonnie I've been watching her channel starting at her oldest videos I haven't got to her new ones I just love her I just subscribed to your channel now too
16-18 degrees C is perfect for me, and I LOVE gardening in the rain 🌧️ 😊
My favorite thing to do is sit out on my back deck, have a cup of coffee, eat breakfast, enjoy my yard and watch the birds dive bomb the pool. When the yard is freshly mowed, I love watching the dogs run through it. ❤
I enjoy my apartment balcony that has 2 chairs, dog safe plants and that cup of coffee and birds chirping and my dog laying by my feet enjoying the peaceful sounds
@@vvvv-h8m She has a squirrels that also came to visit. took a lost walnut to his/her hiding spot. It was amazing. I love nature🥰
Clay you always called your inspector….Colt is the Project Manager. 😂
Yup! He is like that 100% of the time. He inspects my work when i am there! 🤣
What a blessing to have help! God bless them and you.
OMG - that Lucy Lawless poster is amazing!
Can I just say you always bring a smile to my face in the nicest way❤❤❤❤😅😅😅
Aw, thank you!
You might be able to use restore-a-finish on the chest. It repairs varnish that’s scratched or worn.
Yaaaaayyyyyy! I've been so looking forward to this !
I love what you did. I was so happy that you had a lot of help.
It's so therapeutic to watch the yard work! Love it!
That was a remarkable transformation!
Great progress! You are so blessed to have such generous hard working helpers & friends…❤ Keep making those baby steps!
I’m so excited! ❤🎉
God bless them for helping you
Great job with great friends ❤
Looks great!
Good job everyone
The chest is cool. Maybe it can become a coffee table?
That's what I use my hope chest for is a coffee table. Inside of it, is where I keep my memory/sentimental items.
Hi Mira. I toss, recycle, give away, or occasionally sell 20 or more items each day. Three (3)of us live in a 2BR apartment. My daughter is disabled. I store plastic
containers with the tops on. We have small wastebaskets because we empty them every day. Our cat, Spot, hides toys in peculiar places. He was rescued from an
animal hoarder. Tina, Al's wife
Wow, great job to all of you!
great job everyone 😃😘
Glad to see that letting go is getting easier. Keep it p
