It makes me sad that some of the most interesting and legendary shinobi are the ones we saw the least of. The 1st-5th hokage we saw very few battles with, shisui had very few fights in the anime and none were epic, itachi saw the most out of all of these yet still felt like we only scratched the surface on him.

This was gold.... I realize that in the show being a Shinobi is really exciting and fun in the beginning, but so many ninja have to deal with the deaths of friend and family, and the up becoming traumatized. This show really surprised me at how much depth and complexity the characters and the plot had. It made DBZ seem like kindergarten I'm terms of story arcs and plot and all the depth.
I am now fully and confidently can say that Shisui and Itachi is the smartest they can say which branch is which tree's branch and that a small rock was flipped and also the flower ... Normal person can't do that this is so shocking

I think this is what Kishimoto originally intended for Sasuke during the Land of Waves Arc, but because of fan service it didn't happen in Naruto and Sakura were denied greater character development.
Did it REALLY make sense to wipe out the Uchiha clan? I think Itachi adopted a selfish belief system, and decided that protecting those most precious to you is the ultimate good…. Not for the survival of the Uchiha Clan, or to prevent clan warfare/civil war…..
