Fact: Tsukishima is the first player to ever block Ushijima in Miyagi Qualifiers (their region). This is the most emotional character development that Haikyuu!! gave most fans. Its simply the best, Tsukki when 0 to 100. This season is Tsukki and Nishinoya's season, the longer the game goes defense evolves. Great reaction! Every fan who watched this went speechless moments before that block.
From the way how Sakusa was upset when he met Kageyama "Don't tell me he actually got stuffed ?!?!" we can assume even on national level he rarely gets stuffed since his first/second year.
Behind all that cold heartedness of tsukki he actually loves volleyball...we can see that in S1 during the 3v3 practice game where he took off his jacket and got serious...and all him saying it's just a club and things like that was just him hiding his fear of ending up like his brother...heartbroken

When sun goes down (or to the back), the moon rises, seriously this was one of the best moments, I get goosebumps from this everytime I see it. Because my thinking was like Tsukki, the only reason why I didn't play sports in school was because I thought the way he did, "It's just a club and what's the point if it'll all end later?" that was my thinking but Haikyuu really taught me something else especially this moment with Tsukki this moment, I finally understood something I could have never understand when I was in school lmao
one of the reasons I dont watch them aynmore, dont pick up on majority of the obvious things, atleast what looks obvious to me and also these guys demonstrate the emotional ability of a kid, not once have I seen them root for an opponent team. I get Karasuno is lovable and all, but the only reason they root for Karasuno is because they are the protagonists, super lame if you ask me; and hence also end up missing the main point of Haikyuu which imo is the demonstration of the will to keep moving forward despite defeats which is not restricted to just our team, but almost every team we face, the author Fuurudate does his best to demonstrate the loser's mental state of despair from the loss followed by their desire to overcome it. These guy's are in the 3rd season, but still fail to notice such obvious things the show has been showing again and again right from the very start.
Antriksh Hskritna Aerotaar i agree, what I really didn’t like was how during the last episode against aoba johsai they were really mad at aoba johsai and oikawa for their last efforts in the last rally when it’s meant to be a moment where you enjoy both team pouring everything they can onto the court, they also ignored oikawa’s cut scene before the last rally saying he was going to power up and missed the whole point of the back story which was supposed to show how important oikawa is to the show

Yes this is one of the best moment of haikyu and its true, the first time you perfect block a good scorer in volleyball, you sense the power, the impact on your hand and you block it, bro thats awesome.... you just want to continue playing this sport and win the match hahahaha. I love Tsukishima’s brothers reaction! Tsukishima was such a happy child, but closed up. Now for a brief moment he shows raw and pure emotion, returning to his own self, so his brother wells up in happiness and pride.
That’s my boy. You hve no idea how long i’ve been waiting for this ep’s reaction from you 2. I needed this. Needed yall to see Tsukki’s character development. MAH BOI.
You keep saying "The old quick" when its a really fast one but you misunderstand. The new quick is that fast its just animated slower especially earlier to show how it works.
Think about the growth of Tsukki. In s1, he hated giving it all, worried he'll end up like his brother. In s2 he felt inferior to Hinata who had all the attention and praise, like the little giant who took his brother's role as ace. It was at this moment, being one of the only people ever to completely block Ushiwaka, top 3 ace in Japan and has the most powerful spike out of the top 3. It was at this moment he realised he too can fight. From this point on, Hinata was no longer someone he felt inferior to, but rather, his rival.
I just love y'all reaction! This scene fight here just...nobody can describe how they felt during this. Edit: I just wanted to say I loved the hype when he screamed "ALL RIGHT" And how Brian screamed with the characters
Every haikyuu fan out there let's be honest when tsuki screamed we all got goosebumps and we all screamed inside whatever men just like tsuki said it was just a block it was just a club it was just a anime but it sure did put a smile on my face
I don't know how many times I must have seen this episode but this is still so hype every time. Side note, Shirabu's "Huh?!" around 8:20 is randomly one of my favourite single lines in this show: it never fails to make me laugh...
14:36 In the english dub, Tsukishima says,"Stop making a fuss, that was just one point. *The real battle begins now"* 10× badass than the sub, but let's all agree that his character development went to 100% potential in S3 and S4 😭

As we are approaching episode 8 I'd like you guys to know something. In episode 8 there is a certain voiceline of a certain character (you will know once you hear it). That voiceline is his VERY LAST voiceline he ever did. Shortly after recording this line, he passed away, so this moment is very dear to a lot of Haikyuu!! fans. The sun and moon always rotating around the court. They’re opposite of each other. Hinata was best at scoring points and Tsuki was best at preventing them from getting scored on. Either way it was annoying for their setter to handle it. So Tsuki waited for the toss to falter and went for the read block.

Think about the growth of Tsukki. In s1, he hated giving it all, worried he'll end up like his brother. In s2 he felt inferior to Hinata who had all the attention and praise, like the little giant who took his brother's role as ace.
It was at this moment, being one of the only people ever to completely block Ushiwaka, top 3 ace in Japan and has the most powerful spike out of the top 3. It was at this moment he realised he too can fight. From this point on, Hinata was no longer someone he felt inferior to, but rather, his rival.
this is why nishinoya and tsukki is one of my TOP favourites 🥺💗I like everyone in haikyuu though but their just my favourites (no offence)

The sun and moon always rotating around the court. They’re opposite of each other. Hinata was best at scoring points and Tsuki was best at preventing them from getting scored on. Either way it was annoying for their setter to handle it. So Tsuki waited for the toss to falter and went for the read block.
