Making French Toast on a mini waffle maker, does it work?

- The mini waffle maker can make more than just waffles! French toasts can be made easily especially with the top and bottom heat. Since the waffle machine is tiny, it weighs little, making setting up quick and easy. It's lazy way of making breakfast!

We take waffles seriously in our house ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUfphIgghPSpAXNq6OG2WRYsFVqylcqMn and worked our old one through many years of Sunday brunches till it finally gave out on us. Our old one only made two at a time, this one makes four! Nicely sized 1 inch thick which are lovely! Now the kids don't have to wait as long to eat our weekly waffle breakfast and everyone's are hot if we wait and eat all together! Setting 3 seems to work perfect for golden brown. Be sure to pour the batter in the center of each waffle square, not the center of the iron like the novice that posted the scorched waffles photo. About a 1/4 to 1/3 cup of batter in each seemed to work well for us. We tested making just one at a time so we could use all the remaining batter and it made it just as fluffy and golden as when we made 4!

I just Subscribed to you. I wish that I had seen this video sooner. I now have an 8 inch griddle by Dash that I absolutely love. I can also use it for a keto grilled cheese.

How can it be faster when you've divided one piece of bread into four, making the cooking length four times longer?
That's true, that's the limitations of a small waffle maker. If you have a large sandwich maker or waffle maker, that will definitely be faster
But if it's smaller wouldn't it cook quicker 🤦🏻
In Hungarian we call it "bread in furcoat".
I have a Dash mini waffle maker. This looks like a good idea, but they looked a little undercooked in the middles to me.

That is not French toast! What you made was egg bread! I have seen the same thing done by mixing egg with equal parts of cheese!
