I don’t think I have enough blackish Hoyas Yet (😂) but I will as soon as I collect more. Do you have any recommendations on which ones to get? I appreciate it. 🥰💚
Hi, thanks! ☺️ My smaller hoyas are all in high light in a greenhouse cabinet. When they grow out of the cabinet, I slowly acclimate them to lower light depending on the species. Some prefer lower light and would get yellowing (bleaching) color on the leaves if they get too much. If the yellowing is on the older leaves, it is likely normal. If the yellowing is all over the plant then that is from overwatering.
BAHOI is sooo difficult, so don't feel bad on that one! Mine constantly drops leaves too. I have checked it for pests & treated it & still causing issues
So, your Hoyas are in semi-hydro? You have water in the bottom of them all?? I used to hear people say to let them dry out completely, and ofc I lost a couple of vines by doing that. Now I water often, but am very interested in your semi-hydro!! Looks like all in pon as well?
Yessss! Not just my hoyas but all of my indoor plants are in pon and in semi-hydro. I have water in the bottom, some with wick rope and self-watering pot, some submerged and sitting in water and some in glass vessel with no drainage holes but with leca balls at the bottom to act as my reservoir. I don’t let my reservoir dry out completely on purpose anyway. Rot happens more when you’re inconsistent with the watering. I find it easier to use pon and I have been experimenting with pon recipes that doesn’t cost a lot so I can keep growing in them. I highly recommend semi hydro. 🤗💚🥰
@@plantandstylewithpeachy Yeah, I love semi-hydro. I am switching most of my plants to that. I don't think I'm ready for full hydro. I'd love to see a vid on you diy pon. Have you ever used pumice??
It can be a lot of things actually, hoyas abort their new leaves when they don’t have enough water, when they go through extreme changes in their environment, when you touch them as a baby leaf (I know right!), and if it happens a lot and has multiple growths at the same time, it can be due to pest specifically flat mites. There are many videos about this here on UA-cam. 🤓
I need more details, is it rotting? Aroid mix and self watering pot for Hoyas is not ideal. My hoyas in self watering are in pon/semi-hydro not soil. Soil absorbs a lot of water and may rot your hoya roots.
@plantandstylewithpeachy oh no they are just in airoid mix not self watering. I'm wondering if it is better to put them in pon semi hydro? Also I noticed the leaves are flimsy but the soil is still wet from being watered. The roots look good. Also I get tiny leaves that start and then they fall off. Is there a way to get them to stay?
Hoya Linearis is my new favourite Hoya. I have managed to get some cuttings, and will hopefully get a beautiful full plant in a couple of years. I'm just so undecided how to grow it. I have heard it's quite a thirsty plant and I see you have it in PON with wick. With some of your Hoya I see the water level is above the PON and some with a wick below the PON. Have you always grown the Linearis with a wick. Also do you allow the reservoir to dry out before refilling. I'm downsizing my collection and want to concentrate on my favourites ones. You have an amazing collection 🍃
Thanks so much. 💚 I grew my linearis from cuttings that I water rooted so it was an easy transition to pon and yes I used wick rope right away for it but kept my water level high. I only lowered it after it was established in pon. (After 2 weeks). I use both submerged and wick method depending on what kind of pots I have available is the case usually but I prefer wick rope if I can help it because it is easier to clean and it lasts longer. 💚
My multifleura is a large hanging plant with multiple blooms all summer long. I heard it is a low light plant that needs lots of water. Maybe your plant is getting to much light?
It might be the only way left that I have not tried for mine, take it out of the cabinet! I am always hesitant as there is only few leaves left. Thanks, I will definitely try. 💚🥰
Definitely not a verticillata though. I will give it a higher light like someone else with the same microdwarf issue suggested. Maybe it just needs a little love.

Also I noticed the leaves are flimsy but the soil is still wet from being watered. The roots look good. Also I get tiny leaves that start and then they fall off. Is there a way to get them to stay?
What kind light you use please
For my Hoyas I use Barrina T5. 💚
@@plantandstylewithpeachy thank you 🍁
Could you share the names of the 4 variants of the Krimson Queen please? Thank you! 🙏🏾
Of course, Krimson Queen, large form, round form, and the Suzie Q (Krimson Queen x Krinkle 8) . 💚
Where do you get those cute tiny white round pots.
Amazon, but I can’t find them anymore. It was listed as Succulent pot. 💚
Where did you order the transparent trellises?
I actually had a friend make it for me in bulk to sell but I ended up using them all. 🤭
@@plantandstylewithpeachy they’re cute. He should make more and sell them…good business.
That suzie q isn't easy lol
Oh really? I just got mine as cuttings and rooted them directly to pon. So far all cuttings are sprouting new leaves. It likes pon for sure.
Yourr Obobatàs leaves are evry elongated. Should’t they be rounder?
Hey don’t call my plant names! I love mine, elongated or not. ☺️💚
Idk if that's a micro dwarf either, mine is very tiny.
I am confused by this one. I will try and give it higher light and maybe it will grow smaller? 😅
Lacunosa flowers always trigger my allergies so I have to remove the flowers.
Oh no I’m sorry. Well, I buy them for their leaves myself. I don’t think you’re missing much losing their flowers. 💚
@@plantandstylewithpeachy Same here they are beautiful plants
Hello! Pinay po ba kayo? ☺️
Opo! 🙋🏻♀️🥰
@@plantandstylewithpeachy Halaaaa!!! 🥰🥰🥰 Parehas po tayo addict sa hoya maam! Pero ang gaganda nung sa inyoooo as in. Sana magkaroon din po ako soon
Do you think your bahoi may have flat mites?
I checked, but none. I currently moved it to lesser light. I don’t understand the callusing on the leaves though… 😩
you sell your hoyas ?
I have, but just local pickup as I am a busy mom as well. ☺️
@@plantandstylewithpeachy oh ok 👍 where are you located happy Mother’s Day you so nice 😊
All your Hoya in water
They have a water reservoir yes because they are in a semi-hydroponic set up.
Not to be mean but what's the point if everything is 5 stars?
You obviously haven’t watched the whole thing 😉
I’m sorry to tell you, but that’s not a ‘microdwarf’. It looks like a verticillata.
Definitely not a verticillata though. I will give it a higher light like someone else with the same microdwarf issue suggested. Maybe it just needs a little love.
That jokul is a joke on all of us. It's a 1 lol nobody ik has any new growth that's silver!!
Yea I am done with it. It can try outdoors too with Bahoi if it wants to stay. 😬
