Great video. Never heard of this device but would love to see it turned into a VST/AU device for all DAWs. Just spoke with the developer and he said that he's hard at work on CHORDimist 2 and we should see it in the future!
Nice beat man! Thanks for sharing the intel! Chordmist looks like it'd be a super dope learning tool to, could see alot of ideas for techniques forming from playing around with it. Setting up a variation of a progression of chords looks pretty easy to (just tweaking something like the rate/direction sync, velocity or what have you and slapping them on as substitutions for variation...super neat looking thing.
Hey bro!! I really like this software, I think it’s the best one out there, which kind so far. Anyway, I like your presentation. I feel like since they got one so far to create that he could’ve made an instructional how to install it but from what I’m seeing with you it’s like you’re dropping it into your track like a VST correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve been having some problems trying to sync it up with another plug-in instrument and also it seems like it only wants to install or open up and max for life which I really don’t use a pretty much plug and play with the plug-ins so if you can give me some insight if that’s how you are using it, I would appreciate some insight from you🤔
Great freakin’ tool. My only complaint about this is that the developer seems to have forgotten to keep track of the tool, there have been no updates for a long time. Hopefully it will continue to release updates and/or new features in the near future
I don't have perfect pitch anymore but I'm pretty sure that the audio (Ir at least, the audio of the chords.) is a semitone higher than it should be. It's annoying me, because I'm so used to having perfect pitch, that my brain is tricked into thinking that it's CONFIRMED to be wrong!
i bought this a year ago....my favorite...but i absolutely never use it can you make a list of drum swings based off all ya old midi bro.....that would be sooo much easier....wouldnt that also speed up ya workflow? like instead of finding the spots u kinda already got a gang of em.
For some reason, my non-Chordimist track doesn't (Triton Extreme) doesn't see Chrodimist as an available input. I have all of the suggeseted settings for the Chodimist midi track. Any suggestions welcomed. The issue persists when I switch the midi keyboard I want to hear chords via Chordimist, as well.
Hit up @Leestrument on Instagram, he’s the developer of CHORDimist and might be able to give you some helpful info. But as of lately I’ve just been dropping Chrodimist onto the instrument track, hopefully that helps 🤞🏽
@@imLowKey Just spoke with the developer via email. He's fine and working on v2. Can you block @arcademcFLy from leaving comments with this misinformation on your channel?
Yep I think I've just been scammed........ Update no I haven't, what you have to do is drag & drop the file from Windows explorer onto a designated Midi track and then save the plugin to your User Library presets!
You're better off spending the $50 on a Music Theory tutor instead. extremely confusing interface, and with no manual, it's almost a crapshoot. I wouldn't pay even $10 for such a confusing tool.

Straight to the point, no messing around. Earned a sub!

Great beat! I love the Chordimist
Your videos actually introduced me to Chordimist so thank you! 🙏🏽
@@imLowKey wow, that’s cool! Hopefully Chordimist 2 will come out someday!
Hey thanks so much for this vid. Was on the fence about this but very little info.
Great vid dude! I think the darker column alongside rate and velocity etc. is a randomisation bar!
Great tutorial! Thanks for the info
Nice video! Can you save chord progressions as presets?
Dope, J-D Vibes
I love ChordMist
It’s pretty dope!
@@imLowKey you can put it before your piano vst on the same track👊🏾

@@arcademcFLy are you being serious? 😕

Shame that, now I'll have to think twice before purchasing coz when Ableton update to 12 and onward will this package work on future versions?

Great walkthrough homie….and love the sounds. Definitely copping this plugin 🤝🏾🤝🏾🤝🏾
Glad you like it!
This is hella crazyyyy
New toy in the arsenal 🔥
This shit is dope as hell bruh 🔥🔥🔥
Definitely a hidden gem
Sorry about some of the words being miss printed this AI typing changes. My words seems like after I sent that so please forgive me.
Chordimist ripchord are insane cheat codes
That’s what I’m saying!

He says at the end of the video it’s pitched up a semi tone so you still got perfect pitch

Might have to consider that, thanks for the idea!
Can this VST be used in FL Studios?
I don’t believe so since it is a max for plugin

Wait... you mentioned Serato and FL... I thought this was only for Ableton Suite.. please advise
Yes sorry, this plugin is a max 4 live plugin so it’s only available for Ableton, I heard that the developer is working on a version for other DAW’s
@@imLowKey bro that is amazing news... thank you for that nugget.
Fire vid bro. Is it possible to change the actual sound itself once you’ve processed everything and got the melody you wanted?
There is no sound in this plugin, it just outputs midi-notes. You can direct the midi-notes to whatever sound you want to.
Does it work with native instruments DAW ? Maschine 2.0?
Sorry I have tried using it with Native Instruments
Are there any similar plugins like Chordimist that I can use for Logic Pro?
I haven't done any research for Logic, but maybe a plugin called Scaler 2 is what you're looking for.
Scaler 2 or RipChord
EZ keys 2
Will this run on other daws besides Abelton
From what I know it only works on ableton
@@imLowKey ok, damn thats too bad ...thanks
Can I download it on a normal Samsung Tablet, is it possible
I’m not too sure about that
@imLowKey OK thank you very much
hey, does this work for Ableton 11?
Yes it does!
Scaler 2?
i just wish this was for other vsts....the creator died and so he cannot do upgrades...but i want this so bad but i wont get AL
RIP to that legend 🕊️🎹

Ableton only?
Unfortunately 😔
can it be used with fl studio
It's a Max For Live device, for Ableton Live.
I’ve had Chordimist for over a year and hardly use it. It should be named chordistrum. Since that’s all you can do with it. It gets old quick.
If you turn the rate all the way down it will not strum chords
No
